  1. Well the media is focused on that at the moment, furthermore I suspect with Håland the club would would to announce him (if we get him over the line; I am doubtful) at a time where it will garner a lot of attention to get the clicks in. Hakimi wouldn't surprise me if it is done shortly. Only issue with him, is if there are players included then it may have to wait until they're finished up at the Euros.
  2. Yeah, it would be insanity to agree to that. We're desperate for a CF, €60m in this situation doesn't move the needle for us.
  3. Good news if it means we're close to Hakimi.
  4. Just want to add that I have absolutely nothing against gay people. I work in the arts so have many friends and colleagues who are homosexual. I was making more of an observation.
  5. Starting to think there is something slightly homoerotic about their relationship.
  6. It may be because the club want a new CM. If they do that, he or Jorgi may be vulnerable as they could end up 4th choice. Furthermore, if TT/the club want Billy to stay, that may also cause issues. However, I don't believe that would happen. Additionally, if Kovacic was included it would virtually be a straight swap. Absolute max would be Kova and €5m.
  7. Last time I check, he was a UK citizen, no? Scottish people really need to stop watching Braveheart and thinking it is real history.
  8. If it didn't have the black camouflage on it, I would've probably have brought it.
  9. Love how people still throw Real's name about as if they're not broke.
  10. I have had a few people tell me the same thing. Reoccurring comments seems to be that he isn't great without space and it is questionable how he'll deal with the physicality (although to be fair, that last one is typically laid at any player not currently playing in the PL unless they're an absolute beast.)
  11. Martinez is a massive no go. I mean if a expensive player is liked by Barca the rule should be: Do not buy under any circumstance, even if that means death.
  12. This is the most French thing I have heard of in a while.
  13. He was still walking about. I am unfortunate to have a ST and prior to last season went to a lot of away games too. Now, I am not sure if it is as easy to see TV, but he was most certainly still doing nothing off the ball and only did anything once the ball was played into his feet during that purple patch of his.
  14. Well when he signed that new contract and his wages were reported to be that high, I said it was a crack head decision but lots of people said it was good because he was such an amazing talent. Unbelievable but true.
  15. I actually see Dortmund maybe having a problem in selling Sancho. I say this not because he isn't a good player but because he is only 21 and has two years left on his contract and he is on big money (reportedly £110k a week.) For me, it makes much more sense financially for him to stay at Dortmund for another two years as: 1) If he moves on a free his wages/signing on fee is going to be absolutely insane. 2) Spending another two years in Germany at the age of 21, 22, 23 for the second biggest team there, means his development is still going to progress nicely. Personally, I would be slightly amazed if he really wanted to leave now. Only reason I can really see is if he is seriously homesick.
  16. TT said three players were needed. Personally I don't buy the need for a CB, which leads me to believe a CM will be the targeted area. I think CF is the No.1 area and lets face it Håland sells clicks/papers so any rumour on him means it will be published widely. As for Hakimi he is available now and it is very public owing to Inter's position so that is why that is gaining so much attention. Personally, my only worry is GK2. I do not trust Kepa whatsoever and Mendy goes to ACoN is Jan so really I want to see a player targeted there.
  17. This. When I said fantasy I meant anyone that would be in the hypothectical 'World FC' squad of 23. I mean, full back positions are probably the least glamorous of all the outfield positions but that doesn't mean the players in these positions aren't fantastic signings.
  18. I am dubious of those figures. How the feck did Chilwell get a higher wage than Werner when they were signed in the same window?
  19. Possibly, I would say it is like signing Dani Alves in 2007 before you knew what he would go on to do.
  20. Whilst Håland and Hakimi are fantasy signings I am very intrigued to see who we can get rid of this Summer/who will be sold. For me their are five categories of players that I think the club would do business on: Category 1 - Very good players that are surplus/Have buyouts but probably can be sold easily: Tomori - £25m Zouma - £30m+ Tammy - £35m+ Moses - £4m Ugbo - £4m+ Category 2 - Players that the club will keep and use in the first team squad but will sell if good offers come in: Ziyech - £30m Giroud - £5m Category 3 - Players that can be sold if Granny doesn't demand top rates: Emerson - £10m+ Baba - £2m Zappa - £4m+ Mizaga - £3m Category 4 - Players that may be sold if they accept large wage cuts/their actual level and the club accept low fees: Barkley - £8m RLC - £8m Baka - £5m (probably Cat 5 however, hard to place.) Category 5 - The New Age Bograde Posse - only not hanging around if we loan and accept to pay significant proportions of their wage (cat 4 fall into this cat if they do not accept a wage cut/Granny asks for too much) Kepa Drinky Batsh*t What does everyone think, how many of the above list do people think we'll be able to shift. In my opinion, it will be the Cat 1 players with one one or two of Cat 2.
  21. I can see this one being done in the next two weeks.
  22. Maybe. However, they do still need to have some players. Emerson in particular is one where they may view him as a good investment. Buy now for £10m-£12m as he only has a year left, he isn't on mega money and he is of a level where he can help them continue to push for CL qualification. Then they can sell the year after. Fortunately for us, Emerson is quite a big part of the national team so he is still rated in Italy. Personally, I can see a situation where €60m+Emerson may appeal to them more than €70m-€75m cash for Hakimi from PSG.
  23. Yeah, I was being a bit fecious there.
  24. But this is true of everyone, no? Dippers wouldn't have got Alisson/VVD if Barca hadn't have hit the crack pipe and give them €150m for Coutinho. City wouldn't have got Kun if we hadn't have brought Torres. Barca wouldn't have had such an amazing side if they hadn't pumped Messi full of growth hormone at 13. Yeah, we aren't Bayern, Real, Barca or maybe even Utd (who I am not that sure are such a pull these days) but it could be said for a lot of teams. I mean, if we pull of Hakimi and Håland and the squad all gel and continue to develop we could have the next dominate team for a decade. Once you have that, you're pretty much set, especially if you play in one of the big 3 leagues.
