Well, then both need to go. However, contrary to peoples opinions on here, I think he does see Alonso as a handy squad player.
-
We would only need him to cover there if both leave.
-
I think he may actually be sellable. He had quite a good season he Belgium and I cannot see us asking for major money. I reckon he will be sold as at €3-€5m he is still in budget for a lot of people whilst he has the benefit of being a US player which brings some eyeballs.
-
Yeah, I was just worried about the tone it was being read in, as sometimes saying something online can be taken in numerous ways depending on how it is being read.

Alonso is so criminally underrated on here. Essentially he is a good player who gets slammed for one flaw (his pace.)
-
Could see that being a bit of an issue. Alonso isn't everyone's cup of tea but I would argue when playing the likes of Burnley/Watford/Palace/Newcastle etc, he is more suited than Chilwell. I say this as he is much better at finding space and attacking the ball in the opposition box and we don't have to do much defending and when we do it is set piece defending which he is also better at. Of course if they make it equivalent to €25m+ then we have to consider it but I can't see us wanting to hang onto Emerson.

Has Moses been confirmed?

Well the media is focused on that at the moment, furthermore I suspect with Håland the club would would to announce him (if we get him over the line; I am doubtful) at a time where it will garner a lot of attention to get the clicks in. Hakimi wouldn't surprise me if it is done shortly. Only issue with him, is if there are players included then it may have to wait until they're finished up at the Euros.
-
Yeah, it would be insanity to agree to that. We're desperate for a CF, €60m in this situation doesn't move the needle for us.
-
Good news if it means we're close to Hakimi.

Just want to add that I have absolutely nothing against gay people. I work in the arts so have many friends and colleagues who are homosexual. I was making more of an observation.
-
Starting to think there is something slightly homoerotic about their relationship.
-
It may be because the club want a new CM. If they do that, he or Jorgi may be vulnerable as they could end up 4th choice. Furthermore, if TT/the club want Billy to stay, that may also cause issues. However, I don't believe that would happen. Additionally, if Kovacic was included it would virtually be a straight swap. Absolute max would be Kova and €5m.

Last time I check, he was a UK citizen, no? Scottish people really need to stop watching Braveheart and thinking it is real history.
-
If it didn't have the black camouflage on it, I would've probably have brought it.
-
Love how people still throw Real's name about as if they're not broke.
-
I have had a few people tell me the same thing. Reoccurring comments seems to be that he isn't great without space and it is questionable how he'll deal with the physicality (although to be fair, that last one is typically laid at any player not currently playing in the PL unless they're an absolute beast.)

Martinez is a massive no go. I mean if a expensive player is liked by Barca the rule should be: Do not buy under any circumstance, even if that means death.
-
This is the most French thing I have heard of in a while.
-
He was still walking about. I am unfortunate to have a ST and prior to last season went to a lot of away games too. Now, I am not sure if it is as easy to see TV, but he was most certainly still doing nothing off the ball and only did anything once the ball was played into his feet during that purple patch of his.

Well when he signed that new contract and his wages were reported to be that high, I said it was a crack head decision but lots of people said it was good because he was such an amazing talent. Unbelievable but true.
-
I actually see Dortmund maybe having a problem in selling Sancho. I say this not because he isn't a good player but because he is only 21 and has two years left on his contract and he is on big money (reportedly £110k a week.) For me, it makes much more sense financially for him to stay at Dortmund for another two years as: 1) If he moves on a free his wages/signing on fee is going to be absolutely insane. 2) Spending another two years in Germany at the age of 21, 22, 23 for the second biggest team there, means his development is still going to progress nicely. Personally, I would be slightly amazed if he really wanted to leave now. Only reason I can really see is if he is seriously homesick.

TT said three players were needed. Personally I don't buy the need for a CB, which leads me to believe a CM will be the targeted area. I think CF is the No.1 area and lets face it Håland sells clicks/papers so any rumour on him means it will be published widely. As for Hakimi he is available now and it is very public owing to Inter's position so that is why that is gaining so much attention. Personally, my only worry is GK2. I do not trust Kepa whatsoever and Mendy goes to ACoN is Jan so really I want to see a player targeted there.

This. When I said fantasy I meant anyone that would be in the hypothectical 'World FC' squad of 23. I mean, full back positions are probably the least glamorous of all the outfield positions but that doesn't mean the players in these positions aren't fantastic signings.
-
I am dubious of those figures. How the feck did Chilwell get a higher wage than Werner when they were signed in the same window?
