  1. Dont understand Gilmour on the line up...
  2. Bench Jorginho. Kante as the main defensive midfielder.
  3. Mourinho became outdated because the way teams defends right now is completely different the way they used to. His defensive system became outdated. Mourinho was essentially a reactive manager who tried to exploit mistakes made by his opponents: Ba goal after Gerrard made THAT mistake is sums up Mourinho football philosophy. Right now even smaller teams are trying a different approach and sometimes they will advance their defensive lines and try to force defenders to make mistakes. Even when teams are playing with 11 players behind the ball, its usually in a more advanced line to force the opponents to exchange passes between defenders, making the life a lot more difficult for the team who wants to create (think about Sarriball last season, the the team had the most of the possession, but most of if were David Luiz and Rudiger exchanging passes and Luiz trying his long passes), and thats also mean the CB needs to be more than a destroyer, and many managers are looking after CBs with great first touch and passing, and this is the reason why Sarri kept Luiz in his team. Mourinho's last great job was 10 years ago with Inter. He belongs to the 00s. In past decade he was already outdated, in this decade he will be one of those manager who will pretty much get a job based in his past reputation. Football changed fast in last 10 years. Mourinho stagnated. Its too late to catch up.
  4. He is not good enough, but I dont work for the club, the club think he is good enough, since he was given a new 5 year contract with a huge pay rise. My point is the lack of coordination in transfer market. Its clear the club have big plans for all those players I mentioned, despite that they are looking for another promising 19 years old.
  5. How such thing would be possible when the transfer window is closed?
  6. I'm in the minority, but I don't want Jado Sancho, because we already have too many players in that position. One of the reasons why this team went downhill since 2012 is the lack of coordination in transfer market. Thats exactly the reason why players like Salah and KDB never had a chance here. The team was buying too much players for attacking positions: Oscar, Schurle, Hazard, William, Salah, KDB. Right now we have Pulisic (a guy that showed he has skills and mindset to be a top player), players from academy like Udson Odoi and Mason Mount, and we just got Ziyech. To other side the had huge problems at the defense (need CBs and full backs), in the midfield with no proper playmaker and proper DM, and no proper CF. But people are excited for Jadon Sancho. Sancho is not needed right now, and he should be the least of priorities.
  7. I don't think we should discussing if Kepa is good enough to be a starting XI. This discussion should take place in another moment. The main discussion should be: is Willy Caballero better than Kepa? Is Willy Caballero's form better than Kepa's form before he was dropped? Thats should be the main discussion, its not he main discussion because many people don't want to get into the subject: Lampard is making another silly and amateurish mistake by dropping Kepa when his backup is such a bad keeper as Willy Caballero.
  8. He is suspect since day one. Sarri biggest mistake was trying to create a team around Jorginho. Lampard's biggest mistake was emulating Sarri in using Jorginho as the main DM and deploying Kante to a more advanced position. I hope he is sold at the transfer windows.
  9. Jorginho is the worst thing about Sarri legacy. One and a half year later he still he is the same player he was when he arrive in the PL. He is the main reason why the team became so vulnerable at the defense since last season. He is slow, he lacks physical power, he can't harass the opponents, he barely wins 1x1 battle. We need another DM to play alongside Kante.
  10. He is asking 3 because he was offered 2 in the first place. He doesn't deserve a single year. He made good things for the club, but its time to move on.
  11. Since Mourinho was sacked after winning another PL I was so heartbroken and filled with negativity that I lost pretty much all desire to watch Chelsea games. Yeah, we had some good fun with that Conte fella and with Sarri. All decent people, but none were true blues. But when Lampard was appointed as head coach i felt a sudden inner connection to this team again and with that Mount boy (who reminds me a lot of a younger Lampard). The connection was so strong that i immediately began supporting Lampard in a way I never thought it was possible again. I've never seen a manager lose in such a highly educated fashion. Nobody understand his tactics and team selection, but the truth is: the way he messes around with the average football viewer's IQ is just mesmerizing and out of this world. I'm staying to watch his genius intellect and incredible tactics unfold on my TV while the average football fan think mediocre managers like Pocketino and Nuno Espirito Santo are any good. Frank has a power that i've never seen from any other manager ever and he's surely becoming a Premier League and Champions League winner one day, and if he gets fortunate enough and receive enough support from this board (f*ck you Marina) he might be the best manager ever. The sky is the limit. The way he trust in the kids and bench expensive underperforming stars is next level stuff. Thanks to him i'm now watching Chelsea games with the same passion I used to in Mourinho days. A lot of friends who completely stopped watching games after Mourinho left are watching again. Thank you, Frank. In Frank we trust!
  12. James and Tomori must learn mate. They are good enough to start game after game.
  13. What do you mean by that? Abraham is 22 years old. He has 35 games at this back this season. 30 years old Immobile has 32 for Lazio. Mane has 34 for Liverpool. Lampard deserves a lot of criticism, but flogging players to death is not one of them.
  14. Lampard is an english manager and he is an ex player. A player that was one of the best players England ever produced and he is likable guy, so its natural there is positive bias in press towards him. The same way I still convinced Lampard has a positive bias towards english kids. I'm convinced Mount is playing game after game because Lampard probably sees himself in Mason Mount: english kid that many people don't he is "quite good enough yet", but was trusted by his manager and went to become a world class footballer. Thats not even controversial. Thats pure psychology.
  15. He needs a new hair style. He totally looks like an average kid you would find in an Apple store trying to get his iPhone fixed. Defenders will never take him seriously. I would suggest him to completely shaves his head. Boom. Suddenly he will look a little football magician, and defenders will always think "behold, this fella is up to something".
  16. In terms of football skills: Djilobodji, Gael Kakuta and Mason Mount. In terms of money: Morata and Jorginho. Both make Shevchenko and Torrers look world beaters.
  17. HAAHHAHA. He turned into a clown at Arsenal. The other day when Arsenal was looking to score the winner in the final minutes he tried to score a free kick from the central circle (I'm not even joking). Against Olimpiakos he was at fault in both goals they conceded. First one he was marking no one, and it was really funny he even got a ghost header (when the Olimpiakos player already had the ball on the net); in the second goals he let the pall pass him and even opened his arms to show his teammates everything was under control. His clumsy jump made everything even more funny. If he had his problems with Lampard best option for him was returning to Brazil, instead of joining a rival only to embarrass himself.
  18. I don't trust in someone who trusts in Mason Mount.
  19. Pretty much this. She is a business women. Just see her transfer record. She is known for selling mediocre player for inflated price, and refusing to pay big for talented players. She probably runs the club with the loss/profit mentality. That would explain why in recent years the club is only buying u-23 players (with few exceptions), and players in their late 20s and early 30s are considered too old (even if they are still at their peak).
  20. Lampard was hired by this board. Lampard being the manager at the moment is part of this mismanagement.
  21. I don't trust her when it comes to hiring managers. Hiring Lampard is enough proof she doesn't know what she is doing, or giving Mount, Tomori and James lucrative deals after some months of decent football. The club needs a football director of vision.
  22. What? She is effectively running the club. I really doubt Lampard entered in a conflict with Marina, because she is the boss. You can't enter in a conflict with your boss. Many reports in recent seasons are showing she is the one picking managers and also firing them, since Roman became more distant and less involved in the club daily activity. That would explain why in recent years we are more patient with managers than Manchester United. Both Conte and Sarri survived some results that in past seasons were a death sentence for managers. So, she doesn't need to encourage Roman to sack Lampard, because she can do that by herself.
  23. "Tactical" is the term used to describe limited players. Every time I see a player described as things like "tactical", "industrial", "intelligent" I know we are talking about a limited player.
