Lampard is not looking at building a new team here, its clear he is just looking at results. It just nullifies the reason why you would give Lampard the job in the first place. Tony Pullis could be the coach If you are looking after clean sheets.
-
On Reddit people would be ultra happy. 2 clean sheets in a row!
-
0-0. United had 4 big chances to score. Mendy made 3 great saves and Cavani almost scored. We had 0 chances. De Gea was probably bored for the whole match. Mendy won us a point today.
-
Mendy made 3 difficult saves. If Kepa was playing today, United would be winning 3-0.
-
How I miss those games from 12 years ago between those sides. This is a horror show. I can't see any of those teams finishing inside top 4 this season.
-
Hahaha. Lampard is not even trying anymore. Zero tactical changes.
-
Lampard clearly looking for 0-0.
-
I miss my man Abraham passion. Werner is too soft and is always playing like he doesnt care.
-
Clear penalty on Azpi. VAR wasnt even checking. Now VAR was looking for a penalty on Rashford...those asholes are a disgrace.

I appreciate people trying to see positive things after a 0-0 against Sevilla, a game where the team for most part of the game had 40% of ball possession and where the GK was the best player. I bet those people believe in that theory: first you build a strong defense, then after that you can think about fixing the attacking approach. Reading Reddit its baffling the lack of ambition from some folks there: "0-0 is a fine result. Sevilla is a top team, they ended Bayern's 22 game win streak and until the weekend (when they had a man sent off in the first half) they hadn't lost since February, and they've played a number of good teams since then." Sevilla ended last season in 4th in La Liga, and just look at their squad and the players they bought this season, but folks are happy with this kind of mediocre results, because you know, a club legend is the coach at moment.

I've never felt as resigned after a game as I'm right now. When Southampton equalized I wasn't even mad or sad, since it was something that became typical in recent times, and I don't see anything changing in future. The same way I'm just resigned when I go to twitter official account before every game just to realize Mason Mount is starting another game, while the english press keeps acting as he was the real deal. People will look at Kepa to find scapegoats, the true is the performance today was dreadful even when the team was winning. Mount and Pulisic both playing out of position were completely useless. The worst part: we all know the did that to fit Mount on the team, it seems Lampard thinks he as other duties other than making the best for Chelsea, I'm afraid he is also concerned about developing players for NT. I had high hopes for this season and I also thought the criticism towards Lampard in the first games this season were unfair, but what I saw today was just sad, I've never seen a worse performance in years. Lampard's team is lazy, and it's lazy since last season, it lacks energy, it lacks pace, the players seems to be stuck in training session mode. Lampard can't even make proper changes during the game. Lets get fo facts: in last 5 minutes + injury time the team was playing with 5 defenders (including TWO right backs) against Southampton, and somehow they managed to concede a 3rd goal and spent the last 3 minutes watching Southampton exchanging passes in our own defensive field and Saints even created 2 chances to win the game in the space of 2 minutes. Last season when I had to read the press praise the team after defeats (Liverpool beats "impressive" Chelsea) I knew something was wrong, if you are getting praised after losing a game it means you are not a top dog anymore, specially in that case the press were more or less saying (hey, Chelsea didn't get smashed by Liverpool, and they even scored a goal!). Its also not only about "defence", as I said before the team lacks energy and desire to win, in the game today 3 goals game after individual talent as the team barely created any chances. Of course the english tv direction will focus on Kepa to keep the narrative that Lampard is being let down by individual errors. While thats true at some degree, this doesn't change the fact that the teams biggest problems lies somewhere else.
-
Pretty much down to individual quality,
-
I cant blame him. Lets be honest, Bayern looks a better place for him to develop as a player.
-
Even a loan is a fucking mistake. Bayern took Gnabry and turned him into a beast. They probably know they will do the same with Odoi.
-
LOL The season just started. The headline makes you think the team is in 7 loses in a row.
-
Really difficult to judge him at the moment. There was no pre-season, its a unusual situation, and most of new signings are not ready yet, and our best player is out with an injury. Today it was an easy victory if not for Mason Mount, and its even difficult to criticize Lampard for sticking with Mount here, because he was probably the motm against WB. To other side, in the final minutes the team was just exchanging passes like in a training session. Really weird, just cross the ball or try a long shoot. Right now he must stop Mason Mount thing. Mount is the same old story. He has 5 mediocre games in a row, then he will score a goal and people will say he is quality and has a bright future. That stupid and infuriating pass just minutes before Spurs equalized sums up his lack of quality and weak mentality.
-
You guys should also adjust your expectations. We signed Havertz, instead of Thiago Alcântara. I find really amusing that people were acting as we became PL contenders because of Havertz. Quality player, but not a world beater as many of you are trying to picture.
-
Caballero is worse. Alonso is better than both Emerson and Azpi playing as LB.
-
Christensen fucked the game. Zyech, Pulisic and Silva out. His only mistake is his love for Mount. Other than that I dont know why you guys are mad.
-
James is a beast going forward. His goal was great in so many aspects, not only the shooting, but the way he went to the mid to receive the ball, instead of staying wide waiting for the ball. Going forward he has so much more to offer compared to Azpi. To other side he really needs to improve his defensive game. During part of the games our right side was an open avenue for Brighton going forward.
-
What a goal from James.
-
LOL Typical Kepa.
-
Why Twitter is going nuts because CHO is not playing?
-
Willian is the the most frustrating player of past 10 years. Never lived up to expectation. He lacked that killer instinct from players like Hazard. I think he only have one really great match, that home game against Barcelona in 2018. He never emulated that performance. During his 7 seasons as a Chelsea player, he was just an okay player. Pedro was a better player.
