  1. Silly season. Nobody really knows who the next manager will be. I think the only time the press got an appointment right was before Ancelotti and Mourinho were announced, but that was suppa easy, in Ancelotti case he released his biography where he talked about how he was studying Chelsea, people from Milan were saying he was going to Chelsea, and in Mourinho's case the man himself was saying he was love by one english club.
  2. Pellegrini is actually the 2nd best option, right after Hiddink considering the circunstances of next season.
  3. Hiddink is the perfect manager for next season. Some people don't realize this team is in chaos. There won't be european football next season, and there will be a HUGE pressure to get a top 4 finish again, and that won't be easy by any means. To be honest, at this point I'm pretty sure some of those names linked with the job: Conte, Allegri, Sampaoli, all of them have a big chance of not even surviving an entire season. I also beleive at this point giving Simeone the job is a huge risk, we can't burn this option at this point. Its not a situation where the new manager will get a solid squad, and a team that finished 3rd in the league, but a team that lack depth, don't even have a proper playing style, with a average RB still playing as a LB, where he can't even cross, and an aging CB playing as a RB, and two average players as the only options for DM. Next season the main goal is to build the foundations for upcoming seasons and a provisional manager like Hiddink is the best option. We know he is not staying for the long term and there won't be any silly dream about a manager that can create a dinasty (weird obessession, probably created by SAF success). After one season or two, we can go after a proper new manager.
  4. I don't know how fit is Hazard, but Guus definetely waited too long to introduce the belgian. His line up today was way too Mourinhoesque for my taste.
  5. Impressive how a single player can make a huge difference. Hazard/Matic make a huge difference.
  6. Watford is marking really well, but this midfield is way too slow with Oscar, Matic, Mikel and Fabregas, with Willian isolated in the right wing, and Costa playing as some kind of winger. Easily the worst display of Hiddink era.
  7. Is Guus playing for a drawn? Lets put some intensity in this game.
  8. United have big money, biggest club in the world alongside Real Madrid, they are respected and they would survive if Guardiola was a failure. To other side, this is the chance City have to upgrade their status. Guardiola can't afford to be failure. City squad is good, but as I said, they are a joke in Europe, their PL record last season was average at best. If City job is as easy as you think, I wonder why they are not rulling PL for fun or doing great in Europe. City is way harder than Bayern job.
  9. Just was thinking: the club actually never told Terry that his contract won't be renewed, instead said the next manager will decide. So, why did he decide to make everything public? 1- Other clubs will understand the is available in the summer and his word will atract good offers from the likes of MLS clubs. 2- The next manager will be left in a situation that he will feel forced to give Terry a contract extention to win over fans. Its a win or win situation.
  10. The same thing can be said about Mourinho. After winning averything with Porto he went to a big spender English club with UCL football and That was 2nd placed in PL a season before, then he went to a italian side that was almost playing alone in Seria A, before joining a team with the most stellar squad in the world. After he left, there was no easiest job for him than Chelsea, where he had fans by his side and the media in his pocket. But none of those Mourinho's job were easy, because you have to see what he was supposed to do in those clubs. In Chelsea he had to win big trophies and turn the team into one of the european big dogs. No easy job. He was success. In Inter he was supposed to win the UCL. They never hired Mourinho only to win Serie A, they were winning it for fun, but were poor in Europe. No easy job. He was a success. In Real Madrid he was supposed to turn them in the best team in the world and win UCL after years and year. No easy job. He was a failure. I Chelsea again, he was supposed to bring stability and estabilish a winning dinasty. Never a easy job in modern football. Not exactly a success. Pepe's to other never had a easy job in Munich. In early 2013 Bayern already had a deal with Pepe, and probably Bayern board believed he was the right man to make them win UCL again and play fancy football. But Bayner won UCL playing fancy football and smashing Barcelona in the process. In 2013 Bayern were easily the strongest team in the world. What was Pepe supposed to do make that team better or achieve better things? Ok, he will win Bundesliga for the 3th time, but If don't win UCL with Bayern it will be really hard to see his tenure as a success, specially the way his side lost recent UCL clashes to Real and Barcelona. His job for City is no easy job. City is not hiring Pepe to win PL. Roberto Mancini is able to achieve that. Pepe is the man that is supposed to change City status in global football, same way Mourinho managed to do with Chelsea years ago. Despite all the money they are spending, City still is a joke in UCL, and they are still a side that have to overpay to bring decent players. With Guardiola, they don't need to pay 40m for a player that is worth no more than 20m, and If he do a good job City status around the globe will different. Thats a huge task. His easiest job would be United.
  11. Pretty weird. Ivanovic got a contract extention but Terry won't get one more season. Doesn't make any sense in my opinion. He is not world class anymore, but his presence is still important, specially in a squad that lacks leaders. Maybe something happened or is happening behind the acenes.
  12. Hazard selfish. That was a penalty to the legendary Oscar score his 4th.
  13. LOL Emenalo again. Some individuals will go mad.
  14. According to Duncan Castles Chelsea already have a deal with Pellegrini since weeks ago.
  15. Oh boy, this topic again, with the same people who are still frustrated because Mourinho and Emenalo as the man to blame, and of course those people won't ask Abramovich to leave, since Abramovich is the reason why Mourinho was hired in the first place, but he is the reason why he was sacked weeks ago. Those people keep writing the same stuff ove and over, and same people keep "liking" those posts. Its time to accept Mouinho is sacked for good, and Emenalo is going nowhere.
  16. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/12126338/Chelsea-eye-up-Claudio-Ranieri-Mark-Hughes-and-Eddie-Howe-as-permanent-replacements-for-Guus-Hiddink.html http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jan/27/mark-hughes-chelsea-manager-stoke-city Eddie Howe story is bullshit. Doesn't make any sense. Ranieri and Hugher are better options than Allegri.
  17. Cahill should be happy to be playing for a club like Chelsea at this point of his career. I don't understand why average players leave top clubs because they feel they are not playing as much as they should. Think about Ferreira and Mikel that stayed as Chelsea players despite of being no more than squad players for most part of their club careers.
  18. The team just won PL months ago. Still far from becoming an Arsenal.
