GC was never a better option than Terry, actually GC is a Bolton quality player who was bought back in 2012 to be a squad player and somehow was turned into a untouchable CB by Jose Mourinho. The man is pretty bad, and Terry is better in every aspect of his game. I agree Terry should not be playing game after game at this point of his career, but there is no doubt Zouma and Terry is this squad ideal CB partnership. Cahill should be sitting on the bench for the rest of this season.

I disagree about putting Oscar, Ramires and Willian in the same category, and putting Pedro, Costa and Hazard in the same one. Don't get me wrong, but Pedro is worst than Ramires. Hazard is a great player, and Costa is special. Easily the best overall player of this squad in my opinion. William is better than Oscar, he is really a useful player.

I disagree. I don't get players who don't celebrate while scoring goals against former clubs, unless we are talking about very specific situations, like Gerrard facing Liverpool at Anfield, or Torres scoring against Atletico. Chelsea paid 18m tor his services, but I don't see how that was not an act of charity. Lukaku was an Everton player right now and he is right to celebrate, just like Luiz was doing the right thing last season when he celebrated PSG's surviving goal while his team was down to 10 men.

Matic was never world class. Chelsea team last season wasn't world class. Matic is an average player, but his current form is from a player that can't be starting games.

Yes, there is a lot of improvement, and that is only a indication about how bad it was before. Imagine if this game happened during Mourinho period. Mourinho and Simeone are two different animals. Thats not fair to compare both. Simeone is way better at this moment.
