I always thought Courtois becoming a starting GK instead of Cech was a mistake. Cech was only 32 back then (thats far from old for a GK, since world class GKs can play at high levels even at 40), and I was not convinced Courtois was THAT better than Cech. Cech was a club legend, and I think he was the kind of player that you put on the bench only if there is someone way better available and I dont think its the case when we compare Cech and Courtois. For the past 2 seasons Courtois has been making some decisions and performances that wont let you put him in the "world class" club. In the same game he can make an impossible save, and in the next minute concede a silly goal.

I'm the only one who thinks that was more about Terry than Cahill? Cahill is not a ball playing CB, and Terry passed the ball and let Cahill in a very bad situation. Sure Cahill reacted a little slow and gave the chance for the Swansea player, but that was a clear foul. Terry should have passed to ball to Curtois, instead.

Matic should be considered a backup to Kante. I really dont like the idea of a midfield with Matic+Kante, since, as you said, both of them are really limited going forward.

Only first 4 games of the season. Even Guardiola's City don't look a special team. Actually the Manchester derby from yesterday was far from a flawless one, and City didn't look "solid". Some people in this forum are really trying to picture Conte as a genius (some are vem saying we scored the 2nd goal because of his subs, perhaps in a attempt to picture him as a game changer), and there is nothing at this point to suggest he is a genius, but there is also nothing to suggest he is a fraud. We started the team with the same shit back four as last season. Swansea 2nd goal was a Cahill+Terry construction. Terry passed the ball to Cahill in a dangerous position (first mistake), and Cahill was really slow with his reaction (2nd mistake). You cant blame Conte for the quality of the back 4. To other side I'm getting worried about his decisions to play the same players every single game. It seems he is doing a Mourinho and fielding the same players no matter who the opponent is. His in game decisions are not impressing at all. Moses replacing Willian was a weird move, Fabregas was introduced too late, and Batshuay for Oscar was the cliché 2CF in the last minutes that barely pays off. Don't expect this team to challenges for PL trophy this season. Getting a top 4 finish will be a huge achievement.

The sub he got right came too late. Again, I Can't get Moses for Oscar, and if he wanted to introduce Batshuay, that way to go was moving replacing one defensive player. Losing one man in the midfield for a CF is never a good idea. My point is Conte wasn't good today in his subs.

Thats why I said "most" of his subs. Fabregas should have been introduced earlier, since we cant have Matic+Kante in the mid, while Fabregas is sitting on the bench, when your teams need to create chances. Moses replacing Willian didn't made any sense. Willian was also making "few good runs", and Willian is a better player than the ultra limited Moses. He barely got involved in the Game after he was introduced. Believe me, you don't need to believe everything the manager does is right to show you are supporting him.

Indeed, because Moses was the reason why we scored that goal. Moses was useless, and and bringing a 2nd CF in that final minutes was a good way to completely lost the midfield, and that was one of the reasons why in the last minutes Swansea was the team that was attacking. I really dont know how you can call anyone "retarted" with "we scored after the subs".

That was coming. Defense is shit. Conte subs were most useless and didn't made any sense.

These 2 teams are a working in progress. City defense still is a liability. Far from consistent. City had many chances in the counter, but it seems they just didn't know what to do in those situations. About United, we all know the story: in few weeks United will be playing the parking the bus football. City created chances for fun, Mourinho won't be happy with that. He won't accept losing to Guardiola every single match against Guardiola in next 3 years.

Its weird that it seems only at this point some people understand Mourinho doesn't have some kind of special connection with Chelsea. Jose is a professional. He knows how to promote himself and is qualities, and he no doubt he is a good employee. If he was at PSG he would be there taking digs at other french clubs and saying how he proud to be part of PSG family, etc. Mourinho was not even part of Chelsea, he was hired in 2004, stayed 3 years and won many trophies. The reason why some people thought he was born to manage a club from a specific side of London is beyond me.

Mourinho axed, Luiz returns. For me it doesn't get better than this. Relation between Mourinho and Luiz was far from good. I think Jose was the reason why Luiz celebrated against us in that CL game. Luiz even said for french press about Mourinho that "he might be special for you, but not for me". Luiz never looked really happy in french league. Things are normal now: Luiz a Chelsea player, and United with a successful but annoying manager that you would love to defeat.
