Higuain had an awesome season, but when you look at the past seasons, you realize his goal record is not really better than Lukaku's. In Europe Higuain played for Real, a team that scores goals for fun in Spain, and Napoli, a team that have different status in Serie A, than Everton have in Premier League. Between Lukaku and Higuain, Lukaku is easily the better choice. He is younger and already have PL experience, and no doubt he will be cheaper than Higuain.

You should think outside the box. Football is dynamic. PSG is selling more shirts than Juventus and Milan. United lacks a star name, they are not even playing in UCL final stages. You are underestimating the size of Chelsea ("we") as a football brand.

I think its Under Armor. I mean, Chelsea is breaking a contract with a big brand, and thats unusual. That probably mean there was a huge offer from another brand, and I really doubt this brand is Nike. Chelsea is under an uncertain future, with no Uefa Champions League football, the fan base in UK is not one of the biggest, and in terms of global market they already have City, a club that is more likely to achieve big things than Chelsea in next 3 years. No doubt Chelsea still is a good thing for Nike, but I really doubt they would be willing to pay HUGE money to steal a contract from Adidas. That only makes sense for Under Armor. They really want to be a competitive player in this market, and making a deal with Chelsea at this point will representa a turning point for them. To be honest this result was expected. The team had nothing more to play for. Played a superb 2nd half against Spurs, because that was our Game of the season. Sunderland was playing their Game of the season, fighting to stay alive in PL next season. The team was lazy, and even Costa killer instinct was not there. This kind of Game was perfect fo the likes of Kenedy and Traore, at least they still have some motivation left.
