  1. That's exactly what I did too, ironically Modric buggered off to Real Madrid. Destiny?
  2. http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.marca.com/movil/2012/07/07/futbol/equipos/real_madrid/1341656998.html Marca seem to think he's definitely coming here.
  3. So if we let go of let's say, Benayoun and Malouda, and signed Moses and Hulk, would we have too many players?
  4. Explain how. Moses wouldn't cost £30m would he?
  5. So because someone doesn't know what a regista is they're automatically branded an idiot? Right.
  6. He's not saying that though. What he's essentially saying is that if Moses was bought it wouldn't necessarily mean Hulk isn't bought as well. Moses bought as a squad player, Hulk as the starter. Don't know why that's hard to grasp.
  7. I would wait for a more concrete source than the Daily Mirror to come out and say Modric is close to Real. Could be far from true.
  8. A deep lying playmaker. Think Pirlo.
  9. Voted SeB. Has given us lots of insightful posts this month .
  10. We signed Hazard and Marin. That's where they went.
  11. The name of the thread is "summer 2012 wish list", many of the posts here are unrealistic, of course I'm not naive enough to believe it'll happen, hence my comment afterwards. Lighten up mate.
  12. He's not essential no, but squad depth would be insane.
  13. Maicon, Modric, Hulk and Moses and I'll strip myself down and run naked on to the Stamford Bridge pitch during our first home game.
  14. Jarvis on Twitter: "@Dmitry_Shakhov yeah that was me in cobham yesterday! I'm from down there! #backtopreseasontodaythough" He was just visiting.
  15. Matt Jarvis is down Cobham because he's from around there, he's just visitting I think.
  16. Who said Kalou was the worse player we've signed anyway? Kalou, when signed, alongside Mikel, was seen as part of the future CFC. Obviously Kalou didn't develop as everyone would've liked, but he was still a decent player who made a decent contribution. He was a hard worker, who made up for his average footballing brain through pure grit and high work ethic. Farewell Sal, you've served the club well. Hopefully you'll be as good or even better at your next club.
  17. Del Piero left Juve at what age though? Lamps has plenty to offer still, why should we "cash in" on him? Quite disgusted here.
  18. This guy oozes class, shame he's a bit of a crock, and shame we're covered in his preferred position. Maybe he could adapt himself to the double pivot, I dunno. He's quality though.
  19. Furious Fergie. Juve building quite a team.
  20. I think he meant "age" rather than experience.
  21. Definitely agree. I think what we need to do though is treat the RA years as different. The academy structure now is a lot better. I'll still give it about 10 years but I believe we'll have produced maybe 4/5 quality talents by that time. We'll see.
  22. Not necessarily true. If you look at the 4-3-3 AVB played at Porto, it was more of an inverted one in midfield, with 2 DM's and 1 CM who would join in attack. VDV could be that 1 CM. VDV is decent in that deep lying role too, so he'd still be useful for them. I don't think Spurs would sell tbh.
  23. £71m used to pay back the money they bought the club with. Your point is? It's not like the Glazers are taking out £71m for their own leisure. Man Utd can afford maybe 1 or 2 high profile signings every season, as they'll recoup the money. If United could get Modric at a reasonable, let's say £30m price, they could.
