I agree that there are some extreme views obviously, never denied that. My point was however that those were in the minority, and that it's unfair to make a generalisation that basically insinuates that everyone that's disappointed and not happy about the move called him Judas, when that's far from the truth. As you've said, there are many well thought, rational opinions on here and it's unfair to label them like that.

I was thinking this the other day too. Even if he is, it's certainly not by much or distinctive.

It's a joke lol.

Must be said, Arsenal's squad depth isn't too bad either.
-
Even better.

I'd take Sanchez, Ozil, Koscielny, Ramsey. Maybe Wilshere. They have good players.
-
Have said it before, Reus is the perfect Mourinho AM, would be really amazing here. Hazard and Reus on each flank would truly be world class. I'd sign him in a heart beat.

Game will definitely be sold out. Best thing you can do is try to go to the ticket section of the forum and try to get another membership number.

Agreed mostly, I wouldn't say the overhyping of him is sickening because I understand it, Schurrle seems like a really nice, hard working guy, has the makings of a top player and seems genuinely passionate about CFC, so automatically people will be enamoured with him, which is okay IMO. Schurrle will definitely have a huge role next season but our starting RW (which will likely come down between the two of Schurrle and Willian) isn't as set in stone as some have made it seem. It's still a 50/50 to me. In fact, I'm certain that at the end of the season they'll have similar minutes due to their versatility. They do both need to step it up though for CFC, including Oscar. Massive season coming up for all three - I wouldn't be too surprised if those that don't perform will be replaced next season.

I don't know if you remember but initially I was very against the transfer because 1. we didn't really need him at the time 2. the fee was far too excessive. Let's be honest now - Willian isn't a £30m player in any sense, he's worth £20m max, and even then it's slightly excessive, so I get what you're saying. He escapes regular criticism because he always puts in a decent shift IMO. It's also very true that he's never really produced big numbers in his career but he isn't that sort of player. I'd like to think of him as a player that will provide the pass before the pass, amongst other things like his energy, work rate, tactical ability and ability to keep possession. Sure, all of that isn't truly worth £30m, but I do believe that Willian will have a good season this year - something like 10 goals and 10/15 assists plus all the other intangibles he brings to the table would be a great season for Willian - sure, maybe that isn't worth the £30m; you'd expect more than that of a player of that fee; but he's a CFC player and we must support him and hope he improved this year on his productivity, which I believe he will, especially now the side is a lot more balanced so maybe we can afford to give him a bit more freedom tactically.
-
I'm speaking on a technical level - sure Willian's purpose and productivity should definitely be more, but technically speaking, his close control and ability to beat his man is only 2nd to Hazard IMO. His lack of productivity has a lot more to do with bad decision making in the final third, i.e. shooting instead of passing or passing instead of shooting or just failing to put in that decisive ball. I think he'll improve on that aspect this season though.

I'm sure you can express your feelings better. You don't have to be sarcastic or patronising. Understand that Lamps is someone a lot of people are emotionally connected to so naturally people will be disappointed. You're just over exaggerating with your Judas satire, as if that's the general consensus on here. But it's not.
-
Get over it man. Stop patronising and acting like people aren't allowed to be sad about the move. People are naturally disappointed but barely anyone is calling him Judas, it isn't the general consensus around here at all.
-
I've said it before dude, Willian will play tons of games on the RW.
-
Tbh, in Spain they give out yellow cards more easier. PL refs are cunts, but they do seem to be more lenient than Spanish referees in general. Hopefully this is the case with Costa.
-
Tbf, out of those seasons, the max he's missed is 3 games (via yellow cards) every season which isn't even that excessive tbh. Timing of the these suspensions could matter though.

Cavani hasn't been performing at Napoli level for a while now... Can't see how anyone can say with confidence that Cavani > Costa now. Costa as of right now is the better striker IMO - maybe that'll change if Cavani went to a club where he'd be number 1 striker again but as of right now for me, Costa's better.
-
Good thing that he's young. If he's still at Wolfsburg after 3 seasons maybe we could buy him then as F. Luis would be towards the end of his contract then.
-
Ronaldinho really angers me. Could've been the greatest of all time, but didn't take his football seriously after a while.
-
Yup. I'd also add JT to that list.
-
Schurrle has played LW for the majority of his career, and also played it a lot here - e.g. When Hazard isn't playing. LW is his best position because he can cut in and shoot.
-
Apparently he's had 7 in his whole career which is quite high for a forward.
