  1. Then it shouldn't even be considered.
  2. Neutral to poor. The effects remain to be seen. If we keep Remy then I'll be neutral on this but if we lose him... We lose a nicely aged (27?) excellent back up choice for a former has been superstar striker that might not light it up. Even if Falcao does do well, do we spend £35m on a 29/30 year old? That would be disastrous. The only thing that's keeping me sane about this deal is the fact that it's a loan.
  3. If we can get him for ~£15m to replace Mikel I'd be happy.
  4. Mikel is actually on £70-£80k. Why does almost every single post of yours come back to Mikel? Some unhealthy obsession you have with him.
  5. Why shouldn't we extrapolate from that exactly? And why does it matter so much? So what if Remy wouldn't be able to score 20 goals in 2000 minutes? You and I both know if Loic had that many minutes he'd quite possibly reach 15 goals, which is still a fantastic return for a 2nd choice striker. Falcao played twice as much and only managed 4 goals at United. Your argument is very weak and is based on the premises that Falcao rediscovers his Atletico form and that he's proven to be a great 2nd choice striker (both of which are false). Falcao has never been 2nd choice before last season and he just did not deliver. How you diminish Loic's return in order to aid your argument is nothing short of stupendous considering that Loic scored many vital goals for us last season to win the title. You're living in the past. Falcao isn't the Falcao of old and he hasn't proved that he'd be a better 2nd choice than Remy at all. You're being very disrespectful to what Loic achieved here despite his very limited minutes. All I'm hoping is that his loan doesn't push Remy out because that would be disastrous. We'd lose a versatile, more clinical and better player in the hope that a former superstar regains his form (sound familiar?). Give me Remy over Falcao any day.
  6. What exactly is the point of that statement then? It's pretty nonsensical. What were you trying to get at?
  7. What a pathetic argument, so because he's just scored 7 goals in 700 minutes we shouldn't take Remy's effectiveness in front of goal seriously? Incredible.
  8. Their run in was easy. As long as Wenger is Arsenal manager, I can't see them ever being very serious title contenders, sorry. We've got better teams to worry about in City and Man United. It's always the same story of "if Arsenal add a few players, they'll be a big challenger" but do they ever? Honestly, we should be worrying about City and United because they are being linked with a lot of big, big signings, whilst Arsenal aren't.
  9. I never even wanted us to sign him when he was the in form guy, so him being him currently makes it hard for me to be won over by the signing of Falcao. He wasn't needed at all I think, an unnecessary, excessive signing. It'll be very sad if this signing pushes out Remy. If that happens then the deal is definitely negative. Currently, Remy is so much better than Falcao, not even debatable. If we can manage to keep all three guys here happy (very unlikely), then it should be okay as long as Falcao doesn't kick up a fuss when he isn't playing, but I just can't see that happening. People are harbouring hope that Falcao will be the Falcao of some 2/3 years ago for us, and trying to use that as the main argument to say why he'll succeed here but I don't think that'll happen at all. I'm not expecting big things from Radamel tbh, and the only thing that is keeping me on the fence with the deal is the fact that it's a loan. What I don't want to see from Jose however is him unjustifiably playing or starting Falcao over either Remy or Costa. I just hope he doesn't do Torres MKII. What relation do the Drogba and Giroud signings have to Falcao? People aren't saying we shouldn't sign Falcao because he's coming from France? It's not even comparable in that sense at all.
  10. 4 goals in 14 starts is mad deceiving when he's totalling 4 goals in 29 appearances for United. Falcao is not a creative striker either. Never was.
  11. That's not true, he was here as a trialist for a long time and trained with the youth team...I'm aware of the HG rules pal. Just wondering whether BT counted since he has been at Chelsea for quite some time (unofficially).
  12. If he qualifies as a HG talent, that would be very interesting. Does anyone know?
  13. It a goal from about 2/3 yards out, very easy. Apart from the goal he was very, very average to put it nicely.
  14. Okay, international form isn't important but what about his performances at club level then? It really isn't the same as Diego's case at all. The thing is, Falcao used to be good for Colombia as well so it's very worrying to see that he's struggling for them as well.
  15. Where are people getting £50m from? I thought Juve were asking for a lot more than that?
  16. It really isn't the players I'm worried about personally. Just don't think Wenger has it in him, regardless of what squad he was given.
  17. Of course there's a trade off but I would understand if the club sold Courtois for £70m and kept Cech for let's say the next 5 years.
  18. You cannot compare Cesc to Rakitic... 1st and foremost they're different players and secondly we play a completely different style of football to Barcelona. Rakitic would struggle to set the tempo in our team in big games as well.
  19. Alderweireld never even plays LB, where are people getting this from? He has no use in our squad unless we sold Ivanovic or loaned out Zouma. His positions are totally covered. No need to bring in another defensive squad player. If we're buying a defender he has to be of starting quality.
  20. According to the Sun, Juve are lining up a £30m bid for Oscar... Sell I'd say.
