  1. Honestly just bullshit man. Don’t know what the club are planning. Apparently Marina’s still on holiday as well.
  2. Sky Sports are chatting rubbish, they just like to exaggerate stuff. Of course the club knew about his past comments. If that was such a problem, why would they even be looking at Blanc who has said problematic stuff in the past as well?
  3. We can’t be doing this now though. The transfer window is closing earlier, and there’s also a World Cup year. We should be moving a lot quicker with everything.
  4. Paris is super overrated... London is far better.
  5. Yeah I don’t understand it either. It’s a confusing one - nothing has been made clear as to what happens after that date. Does the release clause increase? Does it go away? Does it mean he can’t resign? Nothing’s been made clear.
  6. It should be ludicrous but we have been absolutely ludicrous in the football market over the last 2/3 seasons unfortunately (Ox rejecting us an example of this embarrassment). I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if we bottled Sarri.
  7. Agreed lol. Nii Nii guy just usually makes educated guesses and tries to pass it off as news.
  8. Hope you’re right but this club hasn’t really run on logic for ages.
  9. I’m not disagreeing with that - a valid point but that’s where ambition also comes in. Their whole attacking football philosophy that they’re trying to embed into the club... the fact that now they’re getting some top players to believe in this project (Keita and Fabinho are top top signings) - that’s where ambition comes into it. Making smart signings is also a sign of ambition. Hence why competence and ambition go hand in hand. Don’t forget that our net spend over the last few seasons is ridiculously low compared to the likes of Utd and City too for example, so we can also say that our ambition in that sense has dropped given that we used to be on par with both.
  10. Ambition and competence go hand in hand.
  11. People still don’t think Liverpool are more ambitious than us?
  12. Yeah, a new controller and a right sided forward should be priorities.
  13. Just pay it man. This club... didn’t hesitate to spend £35m on Drinkwater? So silly.
  14. Agreed. If Conte stays lots of players will leave.
  15. I think he’ll stay for one more season at least.
  16. Yeah I hear that hence why Kanté and someone like Diawara pick up the flack. Thinking of Hazard as an advanced CM, sort of like a Zidane role. Not saying it’d work or that’s Sarri would even try it but would be interesting. It’s a interesting team you’ve put up though.
  17. Would be interesting to see what Sarri did with Eden. Like the idea of perhaps having him more centrally but we need the right players to do so. If we take Sarri’s current system: Reina Hysaj Albiol Koulibaly Ghoulam Jorginho Allan Hamsik Callejon Mertens/Milik Insigne vs. Courtois Azpilicueta Christensen Rüdiger Emerson Diawara Kanté Hazard Bailey Icardi Martial Something like this would be mega interesting. Champagne football with a real shot at the title.
  18. He’d play the defensive fullback role Hysaj plays for Napoli right now.
  19. Whatever happens with Sarri if he does come, I just hope that the stigma of positive attacking football and winning things being impossible in conjunction to some in our fan base is dispelled.
  20. If you look at Sarri’s Napoli he didn’t need big money players really to play the football that he does? Sarri would arguably already have a more talented squad here - We’re just missing some pieces (a midfielder, a forward, maybe another fullback). We don’t need well known players per se, we could go down the route of getting up and coming players, which shouldn’t be outside our capabilities. For me, it’s not about signing big players, but more about the cultural change of the team (as you said at the end of your post). I think Hazard probably feels the same, hence the comments. More talented players (regardless of how well known they are) would be willing to play under a more progressive team, where they can enjoy their football whilst challenging for trophies as well.
  21. Our boy wants good football at The Bridge.
  22. This is what I mean when I say he isn’t a good captain. It’s always all about me me me with Cahill. Azpi had an immense game as well.
  23. Dropped his best performance of the season in the final. Fair play.
