  1. Superb cameo from him today. Really pleased. Should definitely be our third choice CB. As mentioned above, we should be moving on AC or Rudiger before him.
  2. To me this smells like KDB 2.0 mate. I remember a lot on here including myself believing this sort of rhetoric with Kevin and now he's arguably the best player in the league. I think it'd be a huge mistake to let him go, he's destined to flourish somewhere else where he actually gets consistent game time.
  3. I genuinely don't believe Frank here. This is exactly the same bullshit Jose came out with regarding KDB about how he doesn't train well. I'm pretty sure CHO actually came back early for training this season too.
  4. I would like to see: Kepa James AC Zouma Azpi Kanté Kovacic Mount Havertz Werner Giroud This is the most realistic line up surely? Lampard won't play CHO, and I don't think Pulisic or Silva will be ready yet. It's sad I'm not even looking forward to this...
  5. He needs to leave. We're KDB/Salah-ing him right now. No idea why Lamps has such a problem with him that he's playing central midfielders instead of him out wide. Plus, CHO would've also been far more effective than RLC at #10. If he's not going to start during this period where both Pulisic and Ziyech are out, when will he? People were slating Sarri for treating CHO like this (even Sarri's treatment was better imo) but don't say too much at all when it's Lampard who's running out an extremely talented player out of the club.
  6. He was very active today. I get that sometimes he looks nonchalant but not fair of you to say that he played like this today.
  7. Not really good but still one of our better players behind only Werner and Kanté imo. He also had the assist for the third goal. His performance was good because he stepped up big time when the team conceded a typical goal that usually set us back last season - completely cancelled out the negativity that would've followed. I'm sure he was MOTM actually.
  8. What's he going to do when Ziyech is back fit? Also, CHO would be more effective than Kai on the right imo. He's not the sort of player you willingly play on the right when we have quite a bit of talent there. I think my fear is that Lampard won't make use of the right squad rotations and talent management - his obsession with playing 8/10s on the wing is worrying me. Maybe I'm looking into it too much and just need a night's rest to look at it more objectively but the managerial performance tonight has left a real sour taste.
  9. Lampard is genuinely on Emery Watch after that setup for the game, what were we doing? Genuinely got bailed out by Reece James. Just don't understand why you would buy one of the most exciting #10 talents in the world, play a "system" that utilizes the number 10 role but then pinning him out wide on the right whilst playing RLC there instead? Then leaving our best available wide man/creator on the bench? We got outplayed by Brighton. It's very disheartening to see but looks like SFL actually has no idea how he wants his team to play after that and I think that's the most sour thing
  10. Jorginho off possibly guys?. Not sure of the veracity of this but...
  11. Hoping that this player will be Gilmour.
  12. Agreed that in the end, overall we were the better team. Sorry, your rhetoric made it sound like City were bad . Anyways, BIG victory! So close to securing that top four spot now, 4 wins should definitely do it imo.
  13. I thought both teams played really well personally. Discredits our performance by saying they were bad.
  14. I think you're underrating how well we played defensively today - a lot of other teams would've buckled under the pressure and even though we snuffed the majority of their chances they were constantly only 1/2 passes away from creating really dangerous situations. Just have to applaud the management and the players here for an outstanding tactical win.
  15. I believe we should use N'Golo and Jorginho who are at the latter ends of their careers, to phase Billy into the team. Billy has both of their best qualities wrapped up in one neat package. Whilst not as disruptive as Kanté, hes certainly more talented on the ball than both. He has the tenacity and the heart of a lion and reads the game extremely well - I think (hope) this is what Lamps and Jody are planning for him.
  16. One of the best PL games in a long time, super quality from both sides. Superb game - great tactical victory from Frank, Jody and the rest of the boys. City showcasing why they're such a ridiculous team at times but some great performances from our chaps (Kanté and Christensen were superb defensively) to keep them away from the box. And we should've arguably scored 3/4.
  17. Yeah this is the key takeaway from Kanté's game today. If we use him in that holding role, because of his ability to read and disrupt the game - he's invaluable against danger men. KDB is arguably the best CM in the world and Kanté shackled him (of course he still had to score a ridiculous free kick) - now how do you take this further? Kanté will be huge in tough CL games next season and beyond.
  18. Kanté's getting older too - makes sense to have him shielding the back four now. Feels like we have two complete opposites as DM options atm - Jorginho is super comfortable on the ball but lacks that defensive nouse and athleticism to disrupt play in front of the back four, whereas N'Golo's strength lies in the latter, and whereas he isn't anywhere near as bad as Jorginho is off the ball on the ball, he's not so comfortable with dictating from deep, but that's fine. He still held his own quite well even against one of the best ball winning teams in the world (yes I believe City are incredible
  19. Christensen proving today that he is our most gifted defender. He seems to be getting over that mental block he's been experiencing, he's looked really good since the restart. Top top performance. If only we had a VVDesque CB to complement him...
  20. El monstro performance today. Quite clearly our most talented CB I think...
  21. Seriously hoping he does a DDG because this is looking dire. He's meant to be the most expensive keeper in the world but is arguably the worst in the league right now. Doesn't help his team out much at all. Also his wingspan seems to be super short for a goalkeeper.
  22. Can I just say he's been really good recently. Is definitely our most talented pure defender. Finally not shying away from physical challenges and is finally showing off that defensive intelligence of his. Just needs a top partner and we'd be okay at CB. I'd actually advocate selling Rudiger and Zouma, bringing back someone like Ampadu and buying a top top CB like Koulibaly(?). Then we have the option of Christensen, Koulibaly, Ampadu and Tomori which is a huge improvement on what we have currently. He could end up being a very very good CB for us if we keep the faith.
  23. This guy seriously stinks man, we definitely need to bring in proper competition for Tammy. Even play Giroud but not sure how fit he is.
