Not arsed about his height. Dave made up for it with his defensive awareness. I want to know how Kounde is on that regard.

Just take a look at Dave's performance against Liverpool. Had Mane in his pocket and beat him to every ball. Could Kounde provide us that same defensive awareness?

It wouldn't be terrible if we fail to get Kounde but get Saul instead. If that is the case then I think moving forward we should cease to do any business ever with Sevilla again.

Mount and Rudiger did a good job covering that left side, but Alonso was immense going up and down the pitch when we had 10 men. He and Lukaku were our main outlets.

Good watch this. We all know Azpilicueta is an absolute soldier, but Alonso was fantastic against the Scousers. He may have one of his best seasons ever if he keeps it up 'knock on wood'.

135 minutes of football is hardly a good enough sample size. I remember when Barkley had that good spell of form after Villa beat Arsenal last season and there was a major outroar why we kept Mount and loaned out Barkley. Barkley did nothing of note after the Arsenal game whereas Mount scored against Liverpool, Porto, Real, and played the pass that won the European Cup.

It is strange because if Saul actually watched our midfielders they all lack something crucial. Kovacic and Kante with final third effectiveness and Jorginho defensive prowess. If Saul came back to form he'd be more complete out of all of them.

It'll get done, but knowing Marina she will try and negotiate lower to his market value. It's what she does. It's why we hardly ever buy a player that meets their market value or is under it, it's because the selling clubs know we have money.
