  1. Inter chief held talks with Chelsea over signing Blues ace in January during London trip https://www.caughtoffside.com/2019/11/16/inter-chief-held-talks-with-chelsea-over-signing-blues-ace-in-january-during-london-trip/ It has been reported that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio held talks with Chelsea this week over the possibility of signing Olivier Giroud in January. The 33-year-old stalwart has struggled to secure regular playing time with the Blues so far this season, as he has been limited to just six appearances across all competitions. snip

  3. He can leave on a free in the summer, is only 25 (26 in February so 4 to 5 peak years left) and would be a great backup for Reece, plus he can play LB as well, as he is fairly ambipedal. Free is a nice price (well still have salary to pay, lolol) Sarri or some other Italian club will grab him I wager.

  5. a rare night (these days) where every favourite won in Euro 2020 qualifying congrats to Finland for qualifying for the finals of a major tournament for the first time ever
  6. I know, I have always stated that LB is one of, if not the first and most pressing needs (hello Chilwell!) and onbviously it is THE summer to finaly get rid of Alonso I was just further fleshing out other options after my big 4 concern areas 1 A LB (I am truly in the Chilwell or bust camp, after him (if we disastrously fail) maybe we can see if Malang Sarr might work, he would be a big upgrade too, in terms of size, pace, raw athleticism) 2 A RW (Pedro is leaving for sure, and quite possibly Willian) 3 A CF (Werner at that crazy low £25m release clause is a must attempt, what a weapon he would be (and can play either wing as well, of can play in a top 2 CF/SS system as well 4 A CB (if we, as we REALLY should) sell one (AC is who I see going, I do not see Lamps letting zuma go, and IF he keeps improving like he has, he si completely winning me over, ironically right after I snapped an did a stupid (doh) he must go post, for which I feel like an idiot over) and go for truly WC upgrade (Romagnoli or my favourite Konate at the top of my list) Doing that cash plus Pasalic action for Castagne kills two birds with one stone and allows us to cash in on Azpi (this summer is it in terms of anywhere near a fair amount of cash we can get for him) It is a TINY outlay as well (and turns cash positive by around 15m or so depending on what we get for Azpi, plus a lot less in salary outlays as well). I do not expect it to happen, but I would be remiss if I did not post it, as it would be a smart move (Castagne is big (1.85m so less than an inch shorter than even Alonso, granted he is a RB, not an LB, but can help replace Alonso on set pieces when they both play as Chilwell is only 1.78m), young (23, turns 24 on December 5th so 6 or so prime years left) pacey and would be a perfect backup/rotational player for Reece, plus can play wingback and also fill in at MF and CB He has been very impressive in the Atalanta games I have seen him in, and he is a tireless runner (like Azpi used to be and still is at times, albeit on far fewer occasions than when he was younger)
  7. Giroud nets winner as France beats Moldova 2-1 in qualifying https://www.idahostatesman.com/sports/article237375574.html France's Olivier Giroud, right, celebrates after he scored a penalty past Moldova's goalkeeper Alexei Koselev, left, during the Euro 2020 group H qualifying soccer match between France and Moldova at the Stade de France stadium, in Saint Denis, north of Paris, Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019. FRANCOIS MORI AP PHOTO PARIS Olivier Giroud scored the winning goal from the penalty spot as a lackluster France rallied to beat Moldova 2-1 on Thursday to move ahead of Turkey in their European Championship qualifying group. Giroud confidently smacked the spot kick into the left corner in the 79th minute after left back Lucas Digne was tripped running onto a return pass from Kylian Mbappé. It moved Giroud onto 39 international goals and just two behind Michel Platini in France’s all-time scorers’ list, which Thierry Henry tops with 51. France had already qualified for Euro 2020 earlier Thursday because Iceland drew 0-0 at Turkey, guaranteeing France and Turkey the top two positons in Group H. France is two points ahead of Turkey and completes its qualifying away to Albania on Sunday. But a sloppy and patchy performance, punctuated by missed passes and clumsy errors, annoyed France coach Didier Deschamps, who said he could have taken any of “five or six” players off at halftime. snip

  10. “Like looking into the future” – Some Chelsea fans dream of two huge English signings https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/11/like-looking-future-chelsea-fans-dream-two-huge-english-signings/ Tammy Abraham got his first goal for England tonight, slotting home after great work from Ben Chilwell and Jadon Sancho down the left. The former is already starring for Chelsea, and some fans on social media were keen to see the other two added to Frank Lampard’s Arsenal. “It’s like looking into the future,” one dreaming poster said. It would be s stretch to get both in one summer, but certainly getting one or the other seems on the cards. They would both make excellent additions to this Chelsea team as Frank looks to reinforce after a year out of the market.
  11. Frank Lampard wants Derby County man at Chelsea - report The pair worked together last season when Lampard was Rams manager https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/frank-lampard-wants-derby-county-3540601 Frank Lampard wants Derby County goalkeeping coach Shay Given to join him at Chelsea, according to reports. The pair worked together last season when Lampard was Rams manager. Given remained at Derby when Lampard left to take charge of Chelsea in the summer. Jody Morris and Chris Jones followed him from Pride Park to Stamford Bridge but Henrique Hilario was promoted to goalkeeping coach after the departure of Massimo Nenci, who had filled the role under previous boss Maurizio Sarri. snip great move, he can help sort Kepa

  13. lol at that Mourinho Paddy Power advert
  14. I have seen Konate outpace or draw even with some true speed burners in the Bundesliga, he has a really long stride (given his almost 6 feet, 5 inches height) Players like Werner, Havertz, Bailey, Ihlas Bebou (crazy fast RW on Hoffenheim now, was on Hannover), Kingsley Coman, Jérôme Roussillon (pacey LB on Wolfburg), Ante Rebic (Iast year) , Gnabry, Hakimi, etc
  15. TBH, I do not think we get Sancho and yes a left footed winger would be great slim pickings unless we did HUGE dice roll but potentially is world beater, but also could become a 100m pound mistake as well) Ousame Dembele (he is ambipedal, so even better) left footed wingers (most are big dice rolls as well) Mikel Oyarzabal (best on this list, if no Sancho and no super dice roll on Dembele, I would say he is next) Suso (I like him, and would be more than doable, but he is not truly WC atm, if ever, but might slot in great or Lamps) Samu Chukwueze Dwight McNeil (19yo Burnley) Talisca (can play CF, either wing, and AMF, 50 goals in his last 90 games globally, including CL and EL, is in China now, 1.90m, and still only 25yo) Cengiz Ünder David Neres Leon Bailey Florian Thauvin Hakim Ziyech Bernardeschi Justin Kluivert (ambipedal) Riccardo Orsolini (Bologna) Dodi Lukebakio Viktor Tsyhankov Keita Baldé (ambipedal) Calvin Stengs (20yo from AZ Alkmaar) Tetê (19yo Brasilan on Shakhtar Donesk, Willian obviously could help scout/pull) Bale (lololol) Thomas Lemar Domenico Berardi
  16. SIGN HIM he is my number one overall obsession Sancho 2 Werner 3 (especially with that ridiculous £25m release clause) Romagnoli and/or Konate 4 Camavinga (although we probably go for Declan Rice) 5
  17. 3 nil Kane off a great Chilweel corner (horrid marking) Kane just passed Lamps on all-time England goals list with 30
