  1. Hopeful for a prem loan but he has to get decent minutes. Wary of Swansea re loans after they kept McEachran on the bench during his loan. Although now with Clement there im hoping for more trust
  2. Been a given that Solanke is leaving since the start of the season. Wasn't too bothered about him leaving due to Tammy playing the way he has plus solanke hasn't been pulling up tree's in the England youth mid season. Ever since its knowledge he's going Liverpool, yes he's had a great u20 World Cup but the Liverpool loving media building him up to be a world beater is getting me worried we've cocked up massively here. Hope Tammy smashed the u21's tournament now and has another top season
  3. The hate he is getting for leaving If he turned round and signed a new contract like Aina last summer people will still be raving. Whether he'll get the money/minutes he wants from liverpool we'll wait and see. Really hope Conte brings through Tammy and turns him into a bigger success than Solanke. On the round of twitter are quotes from Jose saying if Baker, Brown and Solanke are not England internationals in a few years he is to blame.... 3 years later on Brown has a single appearance for us
  4. I think we need a new CM-RB-RW-LB in that order of importance. thats provided we dont sell anyone, if we do we may need to reinvest. Youngsters/loanees that could push into the mix for next season: Christensen, Baker, Musonda, chalobah and Possibly Tammy. Loans for RLC and maybe Zouma
  5. We may as well fold and all find another sport now that Silva has signed for city.......
  6. not sure where you've pulled £150m but i wouldn't want all tat spent either. Griezmann- Yes although £80m+ and almost certain going to United. Isco/silva id take happily but cant see them fitting in the RW spot. Lemar i haunt seen enough of and you must be smoking for Gnabry. Lewandowsk is class but i doubt he will want to leave, plus the age argument again 80m for a striker whos got 2/3 good years left? My point is that we could do alot worse than Lukaku given his age and proven
  7. Agreed and of course unproven players can become stars in the PL lie the names you mentioned but there is also a risk that a player could flop. My argument is you can take away that risk with Lukaku who is proven in the PL. Thats more of a clubs mentality to shit themselves against a big club, the mentality of us is a completely different thing. What better options would you put forward?
  8. Such a split of opinion with bringing Rom back. If, which is looking likely, we,ll be in the hunt for a 'strong/target man' CF due to the way we and Conte play. There arent too many that fit that bill - Rom, Moratta. Belotti?, Cavani.. Out of them, Lukaku is the only one to play in England and whether he scores for a mid table team/not against the big boys etc etc he does still get a good return with at least 15 PL goals in 4 out of the 5 seasons he's had a full season. Cavani for me is a good player- misses a hell of a lot of chances but gets in the right positions to be able to get them chances. Age is catching up with him mind. Belotti i havnt seen too much of, huge prices being mentioned and only had one good season so far? Moratta i was totally against 3 months ago but am starting to warm to. Conte seems to love him and you have to trust that. If Costa leaves Moratta or big Rom to come in and fill his boots for the next 8-10 years id be happy - especially if we can nick sanchez for a hazard----moratta/Rom----Sanchez top three would get me excited
  9. Unsure who you've been watching. League won, top 3 clean sheets and top 3 best defence but hey, there has to be at least one person to have a moan
  10. Laporte > Van dijk Although i dont see the defence as an area we need to improve on. This season the defence has been pretty good. Dave/Luiz/Cahill with Christensen/Zouma/Ake as cover takes care of all bases for me, even if one of the cover players (Zouma) heads out on loan.
  11. Think Conte will be more impressed in this game than any of the early stage cup games where he scored. His hold and link up play seems to have come along way. Seems more happy to pass to other rather than focus on getting himself on the scoresheet
  12. Conte talking about having two players per position the back 3 this season seems dave/zouma-Luiz/JT-Cahill/Ake With JT going season i think Zouma would be a better fit in the centre leaving dave/christensen-Luiz/Zouma-Cahill/Ake The 'back-ups' have a lot of potential to be a strong back 3 for many years, problem will be integrating them over the next 1/2 seasons and keeping them all happy
  13. and also put faith and gave premier league starts to Bruma, Kakuta and McEcehran
  14. You may be correct on this, Ancelotti was the only manager since Ranieri to put any trust in youth though - both Italian
  15. I guess we're not on the same wavelength at all. I've seen clips and videos but i am not going to lie and pretend i'm a avid french league viewer, i doubt many of us on here are. However what i have seen, they are similar players in terms of their play. Ok put it this way, they are similar ages correct? go back 3,4,5 years back, Chalobah was higher rated for ability. Bakayoko has a chance to play which he shone, Chalobah has not progressed due to game time since. Make sense?
  16. In terms of build and the way they play, as i said i havn't much of the Monaco bloke. You backed up my point, one has been given a chance to play in the big games, the other hasn't. Conte has always given high praise to the youth and surprised by the talent we have. Problem is the Youth will make mistakes while learning the trade, Conte (as well as most recent managers) has played it safe with established players
  17. was 21 when we first brought him, wasn't an academy product
  18. You may be correct, none of us can see what happened on the training pitch, but if we go out and spend 40/50m on a player who we have a very similar player, the acadamy is useless. The Youth is by far the best in the country and arguably Europe. It's clear is someone like Nate (Probably our best product in years/decades) doesn't progress we have no plan or idea how to progress from youth to seniors
  19. How would you know if he has'nt had a chance. But yeah logic says spend £40m+ when we could have a carbon copy rotting away
  20. Seems Diego is offski to China in the summer. Although some people feel otherwise id love Lukaku back to replace him, young proven PL scorer, not the finished package but will still get 20+ a season. Somehow keep Bats as cover with a top class player to go RW (Dreaming of Sanchez) and we'll be fairly set for next season attacking wise.
  21. Cant say i've watched too many Monaco games but what i've read/seen he could be a beast next to Kante. Cant help but think given a chance to flourish Chalobah could fit in this exact job. Difference is one has been given the opportunity and the other hasn't
  22. Not disagreeing with you at all. The Gk's and kante/maka you could pick either without damaging the team. Kante is a rookie, but if he continues his form for the next 18/24 months he'll cement his place for me
  23. Cech Azpilicueta Carvalho JT Cole Kante Essien Lampard Robben Hazard Drogba Overal answer is a no for me. I would only pick 3 of the current squad to fit into early/mid 000's team. Many tough decisions (Courtoi/Cech, Kante/Maka) appreciate many opinions differ. Image that team above though!!
  24. Would 100% take him back if Diego leaves in the summer. Proven PL scorer, young and seems to want to come back. Cant see them both being here for one spot in this formation though
  25. 3 years or so ago Solanke made Dembele look like a novice in the FA Youth final. Difference is Demebele got a chance with Fulham in the championship. While Solanke seems to have fallen away for some reason not given a chance
