  1. Certainly a strange one. Llorente seems pretty similar to Diego in an strong aggressive type of striker, Bats is more quick run behind the defender type. Llorente must be coming in as a direct back up for Diego and we'll keep the same style and formation this season. If Bats goes the other way, a good few minutes to adapt to the PL can't be bad. Strange one but surely we need to have trust in Antonio
  2. So that means he'll be walking into our 1st xi otherwise he wants out this summer? rather than him having another half season in the first team at Bournemouth gaining more premier league experience before coming back and fighting a first team spot next season. a back 3 of Ake Zouma Christensen looks very solid and balanced but all need to grow and gain experience
  3. Dont agree with this. He's just broken in the the bournemouth team the past month or two playing regular football, and he's now going to be sat on the bench/reserves for us? I doubt he will be a first team player yet and its not as if we desperately need the cover. Poor decision for his progression in my opinion
  4. Agree with this. although id go RLC for cesc, providing RLC wont be heading out on loan. Give the fringe/sub places a chance to get into the first team. In particularly the defence
  5. If Alonso is out i wouldnt put Azpi there, the 3 of Cahill Luiz and Azpi has been crucial. If he goes Pedro on the lwb i can see Ivanovic coming in for Moses as the more defensive wb. Praying for a win
  6. Hope he's given a chance 2nd half of the season no oscar seemingly in heading out the door. FA cup matches and sub appearances see if he shows any potential to make it at Chelsea
  7. IF and a big IF, Conte wants to change formation it can only be to be more attacking against a team he feels will just defend then its has to change to 4-2-4, with Michy/Willian in for Moses/Cahill
  8. Picking up on Conte's words on the cfc website re the back 3 makes me think the central position is a fight between Terry and Luiz. ‘The central defenders on the right and the left must be very fast and aggressive,’ said the Italian. ‘The players that play in the middle of the three defenders must be more tactical, must reflect more and find the right position, and also call the line up and down. Fast and aggressive is certainly not a way to describe JT, i don't think he,ll be comfortable there either throughout the recent years he has always liked/needed a left back that sticks close to him (Cole/Azpi). Having a wing back flying up the wing will do nothing but expose JT. For Luiz, as much as he could play there, i think he is relishing the responsibility on the sweeper and organising the 3 defenders, it seems to have calmed him down, plus when he does have his run forward he's got 2 + either Matic or Kante to drop and cover. The wing back positions we look weak in numbers with no suitable back up for wither side. and now we've gone from 3 attacking mid to effectively 2, we have about 5 player fighting for one place, (Hazard is almost guaranteed one of them) with Willian, Pedro, Oscar wanting that right forward position. Conte seems to like RLC more attacking to so that is another. My preference is to put Cesc up there behind Costa. with Moses providing the width and running, not too much tracking back needed, i think he could shine in the right forward position
  9. Agree that his all round isnt great but he could make a living out of being a poacher at us. We've been crying out for a Striker that literally stays in the box putting away tap in's etc for years. Costa did it to great effect at the start of his first season before starting to emulate hazard attempting crazy runs out wide.
  10. We need support for him. Do people think he will perform week in week out on his own. When we get stuck we give him the ball and hope he pulls something out. Only Mata and Cesc have been on his wavelength both in intelligent ability in terms of ball retention. Dont mean to bash a player but we need a upgrade on Willian. Everytime he gets the ball i know he's going to shimmy and flick it to his right foot and i dont have a week off to study him before a match
  11. All the 'supporters' negativity about Luiz already He loves a big passionate game and is more likely to score a winner than cost us the game. Cheer up you moany lot
  12. He's said before that when he returns he wants to be a first team player. If he doesnt break into the first team regularly next season i reckon he'll be off the following summer
  13. Could be a wasted loan now Wilshere is on his way to Bournemouth with Ake brought there as a midfielder. Shame after good progress last season
  14. Id say the 2nd best option we've been seriously linked with this summer after koulibaly.
  15. Crazy fans calling us a laughing stock for this. We got £50m for him 2 years ago! If we we re-sign him we made £15-20m for what is an equivalent to a 2 year loan. i'd take him back. Wants to come back, loved him when he was here before. Would be a decent short term option with AC coming back next year
  16. Never heard of him before we was linked, never seen him play but midfield we seem quite stacked. Would rather stick with what we have and push RLC and Chalobah. Saying that, happy to be proved wrong IF he comes in and proves if worth but id rather swerve this one
  17. Begovic, Aina Cahill Clarke-Salter Dave Chalobah Cesc RLC Pedro Batman Moses Team above for tonight for me. Get the fringe players showing Conte what they can do and Cesc 60 odd mins to prove his worth for the Burnley game
  18. We need another player to take the pressure off Hazard. May not be popular but we need a major upgrade on Willian, even on his best season he till managed less goals than Pedro (who gets slated). Imagine having 2 wingers who can make something out of nothing
  19. Cant see the hate towards re-signing Lukaku. In terms of out and out striker there is not many better than him (Aguero, Suarez, Lewandowski and Aubameyang are level above). We'll be getting a player who 1) Wants to be and succeed at our club 2) Proven record in the PL for goals 3) Still got age on his side. Its not as if it effects the fans how much the fee is so don't see the problem with the price. In a day where Everton playing £30m for Bolasie - a player who cant properly kick a ball, its clear money isn't a issue. I do hope we get a Defender or 2 as well though
  20. Am i the only one who thinks this is a good move? Ajax lost 2 out of their 3 main attacking players last season, under a manager who knows him. Plus you know he wont be much more than a 2nd/3rd fiddle for us if he stayed
  21. Could be Trolling at the highest level from this bloke... any chance he had a picture on sunday when Leicester were in London and Conte in the same day? Anything saying that the picture of Mahrez is in the chelsea/imperial wharf hotel? Saying that i would take Mahrez as an upgrade on Willian
  22. The only player of Hazard's wave length is Fabregas in term of how they look at each other and keeping the ball and Fabregas doesn't seem to be a guaranteed starter He had to same connection with Mata. We need to up the quality around him, Oscar and Willian just don't cut it for me
  23. Know nothing about Bristol City or how they play. Will he get minutes? They seem quite stocked for strikers?
  24. Granted our most successful manager and all that but i'm so glad all the bad press and headlines that come with the Mourinho package have shifted to Man U. Some FifPRO member claiming Jose should be jailed for his bullying treatment of players
  25. Jeez a few poor pre season games and people want the kid hung. Not a striker and formation does not suit him, but if good enough he will find his way in/force Conte to change formation, he's got a lot of potential and showed that for England u21s but does need to step up in a blue shirt Previous post is right about the marketing team doing him no favours with all the pressure/exposure
