Gutted he seemingly isnt sticking around and given game time here. Positives of the 2 year deal to Boro (If it happens) they should get promoted this season provided they keep Gibson and Baker does join. Gives him a year to make himself a first team player/gain managers trust and next season should be a started for a premier league team. Deals to Reading/Birmingham make less sense

Offers nothing extra than a acadamy player could offer. I can deal with academy players not given minutes in world class players are brought in, which Drinkwater is nowhere near that level

on injuries, as a club do we get lucky year after year or are our conditioning/rehabilitation team far superior that other teams? Its rare we have a long term injury list and never seem to have injury prone player a la Arsenal/United/Liverpool

anyone who has seen more of him tell me his potential as a RWB? looks a unit as well as comfortable on the ball. Seeing as we haven't been linked to many RWB's could be a possibly shift this season. Id like to keep Azpi as far away from RWB as possible, 1) We need him in last line of defence and 2) He looks like he sh!ts himself every time he crosses the half way line

1 quality game to every 10 average/poor games. Doesn't weaken us massively and not getting any younger. Like others have said it worries me less united getting Matic rather than Fabinho . Most gutting part is its seems Sandro isnt coming our way otherwise Matic would have been part of the bargain (unless Juve have no interest in him)

From my blury screen the whole back 5 + 2 mids have been a shambles. Harsh to call out Christensen. I dont think the centre of a 3 suits him regardless, would like to see him as the right of the 3 second half with Luiz back in the centre

We do need the Kante's Baka's but we need more technically gifted players for me. Id even say Willian and Pedro are not good enough on the ball

I disagree. Posted elsewhere, whats the need for a 3rd striker, we play 1 up top with 2 strikers arguably too good to be a 2nd choice, last season we played and won convincingly with a false 9. If we seem desperate for a 3rd choice to fill in the bench against lesser teams/cup games either 1) Promote a youth player 2) Keep Remy who seems happy to pick up a wage and not play
