  1. Where you ask? What about taking a punt on the player of last season who scored 17 goals, had 11 assists and will come cheaply after his side is relegated? I read somewhere that Dahoud is available for 8m Euros, what about him? Why don't we buy some quality wing backs - Fabinho, Ghoulam, Rodriguez, etc.? We could get all of this for the price being quoted for Silva. Actually, Hazard scores against the big teams so poor comparison. No, they're not, but we need a powerful goal-scoring winger to complement Hazard, not just a shitter version of him.
  2. Is this guy really the answer to our attacking problems? Every time I've watched him he's been decent at best. He doesn't score enough either. Would rather spend 70m elsewhere.
  3. I never acted like I knew any "inside shit" you absolute bell end. I'm just going by quotes from the player himself.
  4. It's pretty obvious though. He came out and said he couldn't turn down an offer from Barcelona and Barcelona's midfield looks shot to pieces, so I'd imagine he will end up there at some stage.
  5. I rate Wanyama highly but Bakayoko is better. They're a similar kind of player but Bakayoko has this ability to make driving runs forward with the ball and it opens up play and creates a lot of space. His dribbling is exceptional and I'd imagine he would be very resistant to pressing because he has fantastic ball control and he brushes players off with ease. He reminds me of a prime Yaya Toure (although not as good going forward) and he definitely has a higher ceiling than Wanyama due to the fact he's only 22. According to whoscored... Bakayoko: League rating: 7.46 (CL rating: 7.58) Wanyama: League rating: 6.91 (CL rating: 7.19) Kante: League rating: 7.27 Matic: League rating: 7.11 Kroos: League rating: 7.79 (CL rating: 6.96) Nainggolan: League rating: 7.27 Vidal: League: 7.18 (CL rating: 7.44) Verratti: League: 7.49 (CL rating: 7.13)
  6. Sign Bakayoko. Twice the player Matic is and a perfect partner for Kante.
  7. F***. There goes my hopes of signing him. He's Barcelona quality.
  8. One season wonder. No one will remember his name in a year.
  9. No, after many key games. He has been terrible against the top teams. Tottenham x 2, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City. He simply cannot handle being pressed. He's not good enough on the ball and lacks physicality. Any good teams will expose this. Watch him have a nightmare against Liverpool at Anfield when they don't let him breathe. He's a good player but he's nowhere near the Essien/Makelele hybrid everyone is making him out to be.
  10. So crossing isn't important? How did we concede our two goals against Tottenham again? The word "cross" doesn't just mean some absolute peachy inswinger from 40 yards out that hits the target on the top of their head. A lot of goals scored come from grounded crosses as well.
  11. Starting to think this guy is a little bit overrated.
  12. Why are people on here so concerned about work rate? He doesn't need to run up and down the pitch because he'll have Moses and Kante covering him and Azpillicueta will be behind them. He doesn't need to provide width because that's Moses' job. He will play similarly to a number 10 role (as Hazard and Pedro have done this season) and will provide another goal scoring alternative outside of Hazard and Costa. Our goals are drying up and our attack is running out of ideas. James will rejuvenate the squad and will help us win the league.
  13. Glad he's back. Rate him highly.
  14. Made the European team of the week. Must be doing something right.
  15. ---------------------Courtois ---------Azpi---------Luiz---------Koulibaily Moses-------Kante-------Verratti-------Hector -----Sanchez-----------------------Hazard ------------------------Costa
  16. I know where you're coming from but I didn't rate the way we wasted time at Anfield.
  17. I don't mind bus parking - do what you have to do - but f***ing time wasting does my f***ing head in. Foster is an absolute c***. The way he was time wasting when he would kick the ball in compared to how rushed he was to bring the ball in when they went 1 down made my piss boil. F***ing hate that c***.
  18. Different types of players. Alexis is a killer with better finishing and is a much bigger goal threat whereas Hazard is better at dribbling, ball retention and has a better technique. You could make a case for either but I would personally choose Eden. He put his tools down last season so that would kill his stats and he's just entered his prime years (25 - 30) so he has a higher ceiling. But anyway, Sanchez is not going to happen. He's not the type of guy that would play for a rival. If he leaves it will be to Bayern or Juventus but I can see him signing on at Arsenal.
  19. Costa, Hazard and Sanchez would be the second best front three in the world.
  20. I am also tired of seeing it but Cahill and Azpi aren't great on the ball and having them pass out the back isn't necessarily 'playing to their strengths'. I think next season Conte should try and employ it (when we have the personnel), but right now I don't think we're capable. I shit myself every time opposition players are running at Cahill, Azpi and Courtois. Zouma will be no better. They panic under pressure and their decision making is poor. Luiz is the only capable ball playing defender we have. On a side note, if we keep playing this way going forward, I worry for the future of Zouma. He's an old school defender and not a modern day defender.
