How do people not rate James. He's been borderline world class (his first season at RM he arguably was) for four out of the past five years. Only turned to shit because he fell out of favour with Zidane. James also played a lot of good football on the wing. He'd be a massive upgrade on Willian. People who think he is restricted to the number ten role need to watch more of him before the WC. He would be a quality signing, yet to reach his peak. Unfortunately it will never happen.

Funny you posted this. Was just about to post how Napoli fans are banging on about Maksimovic being Albiol's replacement and not K2's. Seems they have as much of an idea as we do regarding this transfer.

The same goes for Kante. He had a world class season. No reason why they can't back it up under a stronger manager/squad.

I don't mind playing 60m for Koulibaly. A long season of Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic as our CBs will be f***ing painful, but forking out 60m+ for Lukaku when we already have Costa and Batshuayi (who are both better IMO), would have to be the most baffling move in the transfer market yet. We didn't need another f***ing striker. We need a LB (we don't one have legitimate LB in our squad) or a midfielder. Please, please, please don't buy Lukaku and just do whatever it takes to get this done.

We are throwing away all of our depth. Traore, Remy, Rahman, Hector, Papy, Kenedy, Miazga and now rumours of Cuadrado, Fabregas and Oscar. You've got to wonder who we are bringing in as replacements.

Put him in front of Kante and Matic and I'm sure he'll be fine.

Better than Oscar in dribbling, finishing, creativity, long range passing, crossing, through balls, ball retention. His main asset is his long range shots. They're similar in pace, set pieces, short range passing and free kicks. Oscar has him covered comfortably in tackling, defence and work rate.

Nowhere near Bonucci but also nowhere near Mangala. In the middle IMO, maybe slightly towards Bonucci. Maksimovic is better on the ball than K2.

He had a great season for Napoli but no player is guaranteed to succeed anywhere. I think most people are just backing him from what they saw in Serie A. He was a monster and if he could replicate his form from last season then we're absolutely set once Zouma comes back.

People are quick to forget just how good this guy was for Real Madrid in his first season. 13 goals and 12 assists from 29 league appearances. A lot of his goals were from long distance or outside the box as well. He obviously fell out of favour once Carlo got sacked and couldn't find form again. We know how ruthless Real Madrid are once players don't perform consistently week in, week out. They had no problem dumping quality players such as Ozil, Di Maria, Higuain, etc. and look how they've performed at their new clubs. In my opinion we should go all out for him. We need more goal scoring options outside of Hazard and Costa. We also need more creativity from midfield outside of Hazard and Cesc. James would be a huge signing.

Kante, Matuidi and Fabregas would be a very good midfield.

Chalobah has slotted in nicely and has looked very good against relatively strong opposition. Maia is competing at the Olympics against sides like Iraq's youth team and has looked OK at best. This seems like a grass is always greener kind of signing. If we want a young quality midfielder we should sign Bazoer.

Was thinking this. A purple patch is possible, but becoming the best player in the league and earning your team vital points in a title winning season isn't a fluke. I wouldn't be surprised if he was just as good this season as he was last season.
