You're actually getting two players for the price of one with Fabinho. An exceptional RB and an exceptional midfielder. One player who can cover two positions brilliantly. He'd probably cost around the same as Danny f***ing Drinkwater too.

Honestly, Fabinho and a decent English LWB like Bertrand would be all we need to walk the league again. I would feel extremely comfortable with: -------------------Tibo ------Azpi-------Luiz--------AC Fabinho---Kante----Baka-----Bertrand -------Pedro-----------------Eden -------------------Morata Cesc, Gary, Willian, Rudiger, Willy, Batshuayi, Moses, Boga, Musonda and Alonso would be very good and flexible depth. We are actually very close to forming a very good team. The foundation is there. We just need to add the cream.

It wasn't so much not signing them, it was that we had no contingency plan once they fell through. Who was plan B for Stones? Plan B for Koulibaly was Luiz but we were lucky that he forced the move on deadline day after a couple of weeks of stuffing around. Who our alternative to Sandro? We have left it so late in the window to find someone.

Sanchez doesn't improve City much. Their attack is already very good. I would be more concerned if City signed someone like Fabinho or VVD.

We will spend the rest of the window chasing Ox who is average and miss out on him anyway because the only players we target are from clubs who want nothing to do with us. This club has no ambition anymore. We're looking at making a profit of close to £100m this window. We are in this game as a business, not as a competitive sporting club. We don't want to win anymore. We want to make money. I reckon Conte is on the verge of leaving. You can tell how sickened he is with our board. He has been constantly moaning to the public about our transfer dealings (or lack of) this window. The board have not backed him after the season he had. It's disgraceful. This has the same feeling as that howler window we had two years ago. Enjoy our last season with our only world class player folks. Eden has no incentive to stick around at Arsenal MK II. Mark my words he will piss off after this disaster of an upcoming season, and rightfully so. This club is pushing him out the door.
