  1. Judging a playmaker on his amount of assists is horrible logic. Matic doesn't play high enough on the pitch to be the man of assists and Vitesse sucks big time. One of the worst teams in the league, mainly because they brought in a lot of new players together with a very unexperienced manager.
  2. Never said he was worth 40 milion, that was the amount you had to pay for him two years ago. You never pay the amount a player's actually worth. Don't know how much he's worth but a player of his age and calibre is going to cost you. And it was just an example of a player Chelsea was seriously interested in anyway. But don't tell me you would pay 30 mil for Luiz yet you wouldn't pay more than 20 mil for Aguero ?
  3. 30 million for a defender . Yet we refused to pay 40 for Aguero .
  4. Still wish the club went after Sanchez (or any other good attacker), we're lacking up front.
  5. Petr Cech for Chelsea Player of the Season. He has to win it this year.
  6. About Essien, like the last three games, he starts very poor and then improves as the game goes. There's something wrong with him mentally at the moment but i hope he get's it together soon.
  7. That's true. I added something like that to my post later on.
  8. Horrible first half. Game was over after 2-0, Bolton stopped putting pressure on us so the game was easy after then. Yet we still weren't able to really perform so i'm still worried. Poor but efficient game. But we won, scored four goals and didn't concede so i guess i should be happy about that. But there's no way we'll beat the likes of Man Utd, Spurs and City if we play like this. I even give Copenhagen a good chance knocking us out if we continue like this. CA has a lot of work to do. But hopefully this win boosts the confidence of the players which can lead to better performances. Cech - 7 Bosingwa - 5.0 Ivanovic - 5.5 Terry - 6.0 Cole - 5.0 Mikel - 6.5 Essien - 5.0 Ramires - 5.5 Anelka - 6.5 Drogba - 6.0 Malouda - 5 And ohw yeah, if CA is trying to turn Josh into a DM then i hope he (by he i mean CA) moves on soon. And Kalou over Sturridge again.. sigh.
  9. Horrible, horrible performance. What has happened to our play?
  10. That midfield . A little bit of pressure and they all break down (Mikel not so much). Not sure of a good result now, this is gonna be a tough match.

  12. I see. I like Lalkovic. He seems like a great talent from what the little i've seen from him. He's lightning quick off the mark which is always a plus point and there's just something about him
  13. I noticed Lalkovic has been playing as a striker lately. How did that happen?
  14. The reason our defence seems weaker is because we play in a more attacking way than we used to. Until we learn how to absolutely dominate games like Barcelona, conceding more goals than were used to is the sacrifice we'll have to make. The amount of goals we've conceded, the same amount as City and United, isn't even that bad when you consider City's and United's more defensive approach.
  15. That's very true. He was immense that game and he reminded me why once i rated him as the very best, well him and Riccy. But you know Terry f*cked up getting praised for anything after the scandal. He used to get picked in every 'Team of the Year', those days are gone. And off-topic but a miracle just took place. Ashley Cole got a place in the UEFA Team of the Year. Team of the Year doesn't say a thing though.
  16. That's true, they don't play open football. But did you say the same about Terry in the Mourinho era? And you have to admit when facing top sides, we sit back too.
  17. My point exactly although i would switch 4 and 5.
  18. You're exaggerating. Man Utd don't always play negative, like they did against Spurs, and Man Utd play with two centre midfielders (Anderson joins the attacks a lot). And you're assuming Vidic would break when left with only two other players to deal with opposition counter attacks. We used to play like Man Utd currently do in the Mourinho era and we lauded Terry and Carvalho as super defenders back then. Vidic is a great defender. Don't know if he's better than Terry though.
