  1. 1. That's all true but I still don't see him joining us, don't think he's on Chelsea's radar. And I would love to know how much he earns. 2. True but it would be better to fight for Sanchez. Sanchez is the type of player that gives you that extra 'umph' to win that throphy with the big ears. But I get what you mean, if he were to join City, you would want Johnson. But we better get an other super-talented player if we miss out on Sanchez.
  2. There are two things wrong with that scenario: 1. Don't see Johnson joining us. 2. Sanchez is a lot better than Johnson and he will be become one of the superstars of football if nothing goes wrong. It's players like Sanchez who are worth paying big money for.
  3. True. The term world-class is thrown around way too easily these days.
  4. Yup. Party time :dude:. I don't think you get my point. Josh doesn't need it (he's 18 btw).
  5. If you're looking for player to compare Josh with, you should stay away from Gerrard and Lampard (any English midfielder around now actually). Gerrard is a power-player. He wouldn't have achieved what he has achieved without his great physical attributes. Josh doesn't have that but can achieve (talking about status in football) just as much as Gerrard. He can easily achieve more if nothing goes wrong.
  6. Of Lampard? Nahh totally different players. Josh is a passer, technician. Frank is a runner, shooter.
  7. Can agree with that but he should be allowed to go forward. But honestly I do think he's a 10, a classic 10 but sadly the classic 10 doesn't seem to have a place in football anymore.
  8. Started really well, performance dropped (heavily) after conceding. Need to step our game up in the second half. Play Josh in the number 10 role (his strong point are wasted from deep), Benayoun and Anelka on the sides and Lampard (or take him off for Mikel) and Ramires from deep.

  10. Too bad Josh is playing as a holding mid.
  11. Yeah that's the most important thing. If the coach plays on him on the left wing and Daniel doesn't perform then it's not his fault. But with Torres around, things aren't looking good for him.
  12. That's true but we didn't win the CL . Our midfield was ultra-dynamic back then though, that's gone.. and our new striker is a player that needs to be fed with killer balls. Add a playmaker, two wingers and we have a great starting line-up again.
  13. That was a one time thing. We had 4 (?) '7 goals-victories' and one game we scored 8, that's 36 goals right there. We'll (probably) also never have a midfielder that scored so many goals in one season anymore. And players like Ballack, Joe Cole and Deco played a (big) part last season too. We definitely lack creativity in midfield (and up front).
  14. . According to Ancelotti a 30-year-old player is a young player so you're probably right. No Kaka for me. Love the guy but.. no.
  15. Agree. I would go for something like this: Cech Luiz - Alex - Terry - Cole/Ryan Obi - Josh Rami - Yossi - Louda/Töre FT Not going to happen though.
  16. Everybody gets criticized, it's a good thing. If he wants to make it to the top, he needs to listen to it and improve.
  17. I'm talking about young players playing in the first team of course. That's true too. It's sad to see Lampard play like this though.
  18. Who they have produced isn't important (in this matter), the fact that they at least try to produce is. And I wasn't talking about Josh but young players in general. I agree with you that Josh needs to 'improve' physically (but he still could've played more this season).
  19. Don't leave out the fact that Alcantara started a lot more games. I don't consider coming on after 87 min 'a game'. You're right about Barca B but you did chose to ignore the Man Utd example, who also play the reserve league. You just can't deny the fact that young players hardly get chances around here.
  20. Giggs is having a great season, Valencia is a fantastic player, Hernandez is a fantastic striker, Fabio is a talent and say what you want about Park but the man is the definition of a big game player and the definition of the word effort, he marks like two, three players (would love to have him or a player like him in our squad).
