  1. That was a one time thing. We had 4 (?) '7 goals-victories' and one game we scored 8, that's 36 goals right there. We'll (probably) also never have a midfielder that scored so many goals in one season anymore. And players like Ballack, Joe Cole and Deco played a (big) part last season too. We definitely lack creativity in midfield (and up front).
  2. . According to Ancelotti a 30-year-old player is a young player so you're probably right. No Kaka for me. Love the guy but.. no.
  3. Agree. I would go for something like this: Cech Luiz - Alex - Terry - Cole/Ryan Obi - Josh Rami - Yossi - Louda/Töre FT Not going to happen though.
  4. Everybody gets criticized, it's a good thing. If he wants to make it to the top, he needs to listen to it and improve.
  5. I'm talking about young players playing in the first team of course. That's true too. It's sad to see Lampard play like this though.
  6. Who they have produced isn't important (in this matter), the fact that they at least try to produce is. And I wasn't talking about Josh but young players in general. I agree with you that Josh needs to 'improve' physically (but he still could've played more this season).
  7. Don't leave out the fact that Alcantara started a lot more games. I don't consider coming on after 87 min 'a game'. You're right about Barca B but you did chose to ignore the Man Utd example, who also play the reserve league. You just can't deny the fact that young players hardly get chances around here.
  8. Giggs is having a great season, Valencia is a fantastic player, Hernandez is a fantastic striker, Fabio is a talent and say what you want about Park but the man is the definition of a big game player and the definition of the word effort, he marks like two, three players (would love to have him or a player like him in our squad).
  9. What is Torres going to do? If the team behind him aren't playing well, he won't play well either.
  10. If Utd's a half decent side, what are we?
  11. Done. They just want it a lot more than us. Oh well.
  12. More and more noises about him going to Madrid.. Hope it isn't true, Chelsea just can't miss out on him..
  13. If he wants to slim our chances of beating Utd, he should definitely do that.
  14. Yup, the Scudetto is in the bag .
  15. Didn't get that too. He's useless out wide so he should really stop doing that (or if CA's telling him to do that, he should stop doing that). Him dropping deep might have to do with position switching.
  16. And Essien for Ramires. Didn't read anyone mentioning it but he was our best player defensively yesterday and we'll definitely need that against Utd. Bring on Ramires if we need to score a goal like yesterday.
  17. You're excellent when you create a lot of chances, which is what we didn't. We dominated in terms of possession but possession means nothing if you hardly create anything. We were far more incisive when we switched to 4-3-3. And I keep reading people say we played 4-4-2 but we didn't. We played the 4-3-2-1 formation (4-2-1-2-1 to be more precise).
  18. Yeah but that's the problem, we don't have the Suarez type in our squad. That someone that has the ability to create something out of nothing. The closest thing we have to that is Kalou .. And I'll say it again, we're on a great run here so why change it?
  19. Hmm don't know about you but I see a serious lack of creativity and magic in that midfield, especially that right side offers very little offensively..
  20. Three number 9's in the same line-up? And 4-3-3 is our formation if you ask me. The traditional 4-4-2 formation is so hard to pull of succesfully in modern football... trying to pull it of without a real supporting stiker, like Rooney, makes it even harder. The fact that most (top) teams play with a 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation is no coincidence .
