  1. Thanks for the schooling but you're wrong: http://www.premierle...2362703,00.html
  2. ^ (couldn't resist sorry) Chelsea accept bids for Burnley target Cork http://www.lancashir...t_Cork/?ref=rss
  3. He never said that though. There's a huge difference between I want to play and I demand/want a starting spot.
  4. Meaning after a while every young player gets tired of sitting on the bench all the time, especially when players like Kalou get a lot more game time and when starters are really underperforming they still don't get to play.
  5. In today's market he is worth 40 mil. But yeah he's not needed.
  6. Lukaku is big and strong with good pace but his technique is terrible. I said it before and I'll say it again, Daniel Sturridge is a better player and has more potential than him.
  7. Everybody looks class compared to Redknapp . Well except for Grant..
  8. But you understand the language? (sorry off-topic, I know)
  9. From what I've seen, he is. Though not on his level (yet) of course.
  10. Hulk has been playing as a true winger the past two years (except for when Falcao was out for a while), cutting in from the right like Robben, and though I'm not an true follower of Lille, Hazard has been the right winger if I'm right (but a midfielder like Nani and Valencia) for Lille the past two years. While Neymar is a left-attacker, comparable to Cristiano Ronaldo at Madrid, and Aguero is a striker, don't know where those 'he can play on the wing' stories come from. He's always been a central striker with the supporting/second striker role being his most natural position though perfectly capable of playing the main striker role. Sanchez would be the best signing ever since Zola. Though it has to be said, he's had his best season in his career playing the 'roaming striker role' (Udinese play a 3-5-2 formation with two very mobile attackers). @MM Don't think Neymar is effective from the right since he would have to go around the fullback, which means him having to cross which is not what he's known for. From his favoured left side, he's more threatning and has more options. Either from the left or as a supporting striker for Neymar (you don't buy a huge talent like him for big money and not play him where he's at his best).
  11. Yes the manager should definitely have some input but sometimes it's a good thing if there's someone at the club that says no. If it wasn't for Villa, Gareth Barry would have gone to Liverpool to replace Xabi Alonso back in '08 (meaning Xabi on the bench for Barry). What was Benitez on when he wanted to make that happen .
  12. He has reached the final of the CL 4 times though .
  13. What does the fact that he's a human being that likes football have anything to do with it ? I don't rate him as a manager, that's all. I don't hate Ferguson, I think he's a great (but annoying) coach. And you being behind Benitez if he were to come here is fine but I wouldn't feel the same.
  14. I'm sorry but if it's Benitez, I will cry and will not be behind him 100%.
  15. Are you crazy? No way. The club should buy players according to their vision not the manager's. Ferguson = Man Utd so him having that kind of power is fine, the same goes for Arsene. But I can't imagine giving the likes of Benitez, who is clueless when it comes to buying players, that kind of power. Van Basten got that power too at Ajax and spent 35 mil +/- (which is a huge amount of money for a Dutch club). And every single player he bought failed (well Sulejmani is playing well now but it took him 3 years to do so..). And managers come and go.. Some managers should have 100% input but definitely not all.
  16. A Premier League team of the decade not including Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp.. Cech/VDS/Given ? - Campbell - Carvalho - Cole Scholes/Viera- Maka/Lamps Pires - Bergkamp - Giggs Henry
  17. You don't have to play like Barcelona, sides like Milan, Udinese, Napoli, Valencia etc. play good football but their style doesn't resemble Barcelona's. The likes of Blackpool, Bolton and West Brom played good football as well this season and if they can do it, everybody can. And I'm glad Roman wants attacking/attractive football too. But like MM said, to each his own.
  18. It kills my love for the game so a big no for me.
  19. Not to forget that you don't buy a 18-year old to be a impact player..
  20. I don't think the succes of those tactics, not saying we played long ball football during '05-'10, is his issue but the fact that's it horrible to watch. You don't spend huge amounts of money and play that kind of football.
  21. You do you know I was kidding this whole time right ?
