  1. 1st half of the season, good delivery. 'Keep on taking them, Cesc.' 2nd half of the season, poor delivery. 'Let us take a few, Cesc.'
  2. Not the player he used to be. Brilliant finish though.
  3. Read a comment somewhere. A Utd supporter saying this is the worst PL season ever and Chelsea the worst champions ever. Haha I love that. Very short memories these people have. 12/13 Utd were absolutely terrible.
  4. Too bad. I find stuff like that very entertaining to watch.
  5. Three points. Green joins Chelsea in 15/16.
  6. Is there a video in which he says this?
  7. Done a great job at making teams look a lot better than they really are since Dec/Jan...
  8. Come on, Eden and Drog. Not many goals in that line-up, we'll need them to step up. Keep a clean sheet and everything should be fine. More worried about Matic picking up a yellow...
  9. I get the feeling Cahill is the type that wants to play. If he's not a regular, I think he'd want to leave.
  10. In: Green, Howedes, B. Mendy, Koke, A. Gomes, Griezmann Out: Cech, Cahill, Ivanovic, Ramires, Oscar, Salah*, bunch of players out on loan GK: Courtois, Green, Blackman CB: Terry, Howedes, Zouma RB: Azpi (Howedes) LB: Luis*, Mendy DM: Matic, Mikel, Ake CM: Fabregas, Koke, Gomes, RLC* RW: Griezmann, Cuadrado LW: Hazard, Willian ST: Costa, Remy/Bamford*, Solanke Courtois Azpi - Howedes - Terry - Luis Matic Fabregas - Koke Griezmann - Costa - Hazard This is something I wrote a while ago. I decided to visit the world of fantasy and reverie and ended up reciding there for a while, and it just flowed out. This is not how I thought it would end up, decided to post it anyway. I warn you, it's huge (that's what she said... I'm sorry, I could not resist).
  11. It took a while, but he's finally getting the praise he deserves. Keep it up, Eden.
  12. Even though they won the league last season, Atletico lacks the financial power to really challenge Barca and Real. Transfers to Real are too sensitive, but selling players to Barca is something they won't stop as far as I know. Koke also said he was close to moving to Barca and wanted to go, but decided against it at the end. Atletico being his boyhood club and all. So I think if it were a choice between Chelsea and Barca, he would pick Barca. That's why the summer window offers a chance of getting him. Koke is better than Pogba imo. But Pogba has a very high ceiling, maybe higher than Koke. Though I'm not sure of that at all. There's just a 1 year difference between the two. Pogba is a lot more popular because he's more exciting to watch.
  13. I've pretty much ruled out Koke joining in my head, because I think he'll join Barca if he decides to leave Atletico. But Barca's transfer ban offers some hope. Offering Atletico serious money, with Costa, Courtois and Luis here (as well as Cesc and Azpi), he could very well want to join. Watching him yesterday reminded me how much I'd love him to see him in Chelsea colours. He's the ideal player to join Fabregas and Matic in midfield. I don't know where this Koke the playmaker comes from, but whatever. All-action, tenacious, incredible energy, offering a lot on both ends of the pitch with his astute tactical awareness. A real warrior, a champions I'd even say. He definitely has the potential to become one. And he's deceptively strong for a guy his size. Not close to Essien level or anything but definitely a similarity there. But he combines the quality he provides off the ball with plenty on the ball. Not a technical marvel but his technique is more than solid. His touch and his passing are both at the level you want to see in a quality centre midfielder at a top side. You won't see him struggle to control any ball played to him or need too many touches, neither does he lose the ball cheaply under pressure. His crossing and set-piece delivery being his major strength and among the best in the game. He doesn't possess the quickest feet or the ability to turn directions with great speed, so you won't see him skipping past challenges a la Modric. Overall he's not so much about the flash or personal highlights. But he knows his own limitations and is clever in possession. Very capable of moving the ball around intelligently, offering a good range of passing and good positional play. He needs to work on scoring more goals though. But at his age, I still can't believe he just turned 23, these are areas in which he'll continue to grow as he gains experience. Same goes for his consistency. He's not at that level to call him a bonafide elite midfielder yet, but he's very close. He's not the type to disappear, his presence is practically always felt. I honestly don't think Fabregas is capable of being the midfield boss. He has too many limitations to carry the midfield, he definitely needs support. And Koke would be my number #1 target to be his partner.
  14. Brazil is inferior to both Barca and Chelsea, he reaches the same level for them. He's arguably even better for Brazil. I don't understand why people expect Eden to be that goal scoring machine. I can see him improving definitely, but a genuine goal scorer... That's instinctive, it's a talent. He has different qualities and that's not a bad thing. I don't like how other crucial aspects of football have taken such a backseat and aren't nearly as appreciated anymore. Messi and Ronaldo are the exception. His overall impact on matches this season trumps the majority of 20-30 goal players. If Hazard were to average 20 goals a season on top of his usual exploits, he would be an extraordinary player. Guiding his teams to titles would make him go down in history.
  15. That's not true. South American football is just as physical, if not more. He would get kicked about constantly back at Santos. It's the same when he plays for Brazil, constant kicking. He's a lightweight and his diving is annoying, but he's tough and he is rarely injured. The guy is a winner.
  16. I think people don't truly realise Chelsea have lost only 3 games all season, 2 of them in the league. The team is not going to fall apart all of a sudden and lose 3 or 4 matches. 1 L max in the remaining 8 games. And like you said, Arsenal are bound to drop points. They've won 7 (?) in a row, it's inevitable. They're not going to win next week. And the same goes for Utd and City.
  17. What kind of argument is that. With that kind of reasoning, every player can be different, depending on their 'mentality'. You either have it or you don't. Everybody has their own strengths. It's the same with the stocky comment. Prime Drogba is stronger than someone like Lewandowski because he has a bigger built? Neymar is a lightweight and has decent balance at best. Hazard has great balance and knows how to use his body a lot better in terms of shielding. Neymar has better stamina? Hazard is always fit, and plays everything. His work rate is also much better. He is indeed faster than Hazard, Neymar's speed on the ball is incredible. Neymar and Hazard are both wonderful talents with their own strengths and weaknesses. Hazard is the better player overall for me but that's just my opinion. I do admire Neymar's mental strength at such a young age though. He's been dealing with huge pressure from a very young age, but it doesn't hurt him. He did some wonderful things for Santos, and carries his country.
  18. At your age, there's one more thing that is guaranteed, my friend. Colonoscopies.
  19. 2011/2012: 20 goals & 17 assists in 44 apps + 3 sub apps (Lille) 2012/2013: 13 goals & 20 assists in 49 apps + 13 sub apps 2013/2014: 17 goals & 9 assists in 45 apps + 7 sub apps 2014/2015: 17 goals & 9 assists in 41 apps + 3 sub apps 8 games left. He can reach the double-double, hitting 20 goals for Chelsea for the first time. Just needs to score 3 goals and provide 1 assist, more would obviously be welcome. The funny thing is, those are some fine numbers for an attacking midfielder. Eden is not a forward, other AMs with a similar style would love to average the same. But he can definitely do better in terms of goals from open play. He keeps improving so I expect it too happen. His assists total has suffered quite the drop. I have no idea why since he has not changed his game. Maybe he's been creating less clear-cut chances? What I do know is that he doesn't play many through balls. This is an area I think he'll naturally improve in. Strengthening the team is also crucial of course, Costa currently being the only 'runner' and goal scorer.
  20. Ozil is better than Willian but yeah, Chelsea is definitely better. The form has not been good in terms of performances in 2015, but let's not lose our grip on reality. Their options in the '3' are only superior. Chelsea will win the league, no doubt it. And it's 'deserved', a season consists of two halves.
