  1. Being able to claim that you decided the championship is tempting but I maintain that better the devil you know.

  3. Hear, hear Anyway this is obviously pointless although I have to admit that I underrated his football intelligence. He showed many signs of being bright yesterday.
  4. Don't worry about Mikel I assume it was just a knock as he was seen at the Funky Bhudda later on.
  5. Following the recent Luiz love Ancelotti ought to switch to a 4-3-3 to play to David's strengths:
  6. Delighted with the result and the 2nd half performance. David Luiz is well on his way to become a fan favourite and even scored before Torres. He's got all the qualities Carvalho had, including cheating and escaping some ref decision, and even more! Ramires had his usual good game but this time it was against a top team therefore I must say I'm more than impressed. 4-4-2 worked better than I expected despite Anelka dropping deep again for no reason. Our CBs and Ramires have to put double shift for it to work (to do the stuff Mikel usually does) but it's been a positive surprise. Carletto's subs were spot-on (for a change) as Zhirkov had a great game and even Drogba looked like he's alive. Bosignwa for Luiz made absolute sense too. I'm sure a lot of Mancs will whine about the refereeing and it kinda makes the result better because it's them. For the record, Luiz could have been sent off and our pen may have been somewhat "soft" but it was a penalty. I haven't seen the disallowed Torres goal or their penalty appeal yet so I can't comment on those. Those last 5 days have been perfect for Chelsea fans.
  7. Pretty much what he said. :goodpost:
  8. Good game from him. He's a talented penalty winner, which kinda makes him useless in the CL.
  9. I'm extremely interested in who Ancelotti is going to pick to partner Essien and Lampard in the midfield. Mikel has much more experience and it looked like he was higher in the pecking order when we played tough games but Ramires had been our best midfielder for the past month and often got picked ahead of Mikel. Rooney, Nani and that Mexican girl are the most annoying players in the PL at the moment. Hope we destroy them.
  10. For all his qualities Ivanovic is really clumsy with his yellows. It may cost us in the CL.
  11. I'm rarely one of the optimists but if this United side is one of the best teams in the world football is in a very very sad state. As for the game itself, fingers crossed Lamps and Essien will stop performing like Liverpool midfielders.
  12. Think it's the best period in his career since leaving ManCity
  13. As far as I'm concerned spending 70m during January transfer window and Ashley's recent conducts have given them more than enough firepower.
  14. Should have cashed in when there was still time. Still I guess he'd make a good enough squad player that some are some desperate for.
  15. Flavour of the season? Everything I've heard/read about him suggests that it's exactly what he is.
  16. I'd argue he simply doesn't rate/like all other choices he had. Or it could be a case of him playing the most experienced option hardly surprising is it?
  17. I'd like to suggest adding "The never ending saga" as Topic Description to both this and the Kaka topic.
  18. United are shit away from home. As long as our defenders are on top of their game getting a draw is possible even with our current form.
