  1. Pathetic. Edit: Post 4k. Suffice to say that's not what I wanted to see and post.
  2. Borini to Swansea was more of a "pay his wages" loan than one for development. I'm not sure what you mean about communication system. Sure McEachran is English like Sturridge and Wilshere but I'm quite sure Kakuta's English is extremely fluid.
  3. The last time he got a haircut it was Samson all over again. Don't want to imagine what will happen now.
  4. No numbers. That's no prediction, that's pure guesswork. I'm sure the geniuses at DailyMail are not even aware with the concept or amortization. If they were they'd realize that for 2011 Torres' impact on Chelsea's books won't be too far off Ancelotti's. Seems to me like yet another excuse to blame Torres. Edit: I'm pretty sure that we had another thread which dealt with the club's finances. One thing regarding this year's results that I'm sure hasn't been mentioned here is how expenses will be reduced due to the almost certain drop in bonus payouts. Sure it may not represent a huge sum but considering how many players and staff participated in the double of 2010 I guess it'll be more than just a couple of millions.
  5. You aren't making this easy for me, you know. I even tried to avoid saying that that someone will be you but you just had to show up with the most expected of drivels.
  6. I expect someone to slag us off for being selective with The Sun's articles but I'd much rather believe and let my opinion be affected by such stories than those suggesting a coach has banned players from parking (oh the horror)..
  7. The more games Bosignwa starts for the club the worse shall AVB's position be.
  8. That should firmly rule out Wigan from any potential future loans. Both Sinclair and PvA wasted precious months in their development under Martinez.
  9. Bit OT but do you have any sources on that? Last I remember Sturridge was on something like 70-75k so I'd expect Mata to earn more than 60k.
  10. Valid and quite similar to one of the our main gripes with Carletto, the difference being that while Ancelotti had 4 transfer periods to make his changes AVB has only had one.
  11. I'd guess the sooner he settles at his next club the better.
  12. Don't see how his wages could be a problem. Tying him up for 5 years at 50k p/w is a great deal considering his age and whether we'll want him after the contract runs out.
  13. He's still got 4 years on his contract. I can easily see more than 10 players our the current squad leaving before him.
  14. Haven't visited this topic in a while so I may be responding to some quite old posts/views. Good enough post to lock this thread for a while That's just dissrespectful to the quality poster that Styles was and the valid criticism that thread had (for the first 10 pages or so). Now this is the area I feel AVB deserves the most critisism. At this level and taking into account the risk we took with him he had plenty of time to assess the situation. From him signing his contract to before and during the pre-season tour and even later. He is one of the persons in the Chelsea hierarchy responsible for entering the transfer market extremely late and therefore should take part of the blame for the either insuffisient or false assessment of our situation. On more recent events and as far as AVB is concerned, the last 3-4 weeks have been very disappointing in terms of performances and substitutions*. The Fulham game was the worst CFC game I've seen since Blackburn/Blackpool away in early 2010 (what a dross of a match) and against Villa and Wolves we were as uncreative as we were 10-12 moths ago (if that's even possible). The Ferreira-Bosingwa subs would have been chuckle-worthy had they not resembled so much Ancelotti-changes and made me more worried than I was at any part of the season. Moreover, that fact that he broke his norm of using all 3 subs in league games in a match where he actually had a very young bench is another troubling point, giving McEachran <10 mins considering how non-existent our midfield was is hopefully only a result of being under pressure. On another matter our two only trustworthy sources of creativity (Mata, Sturridge) are in bad need of rest and AVB seems as reluctant as I am to come to terms with it. Giving them that rest reveals that we have no sufficient cover and it will be interesting to see how the manager will respond during ACN and the January transfer period. *Results too but I feel/felt like punching Cech and Bosingwa for those more that AVB.
  15. Torres is our best player by a landmile.
  16. I'd probably avoid this after the last fiasco (Lampard at the tip of the Diamond being another reason) but all those young players at bench might actually make this game worth to watch.
