Conte eyes Chelsea exit ‘at end of season’ Duncan Castles October 1 2017, 12:01am, The Sunday Times Homesick Blue: Antonio Conte seriously considered resigning during the summer Sources close to Antonio Conte have signalled his interest in leaving Chelsea at the end of this season, inviting leading Serie A clubs to bid for his services. His decision reflects the 48-year-old Italian’s long-standing dissatisfaction at the level of support he has received from Chelsea’s board. Conte seriously considered resigning his position as manager this summer despite leading the London club to the Premier League title in his first season. Disputes over Chelsea’s summer recruitment, the inaccessibility of Roman Abramovich and the owner’s senior executive Marina Granovskaia, as well as the promotion of academy players, were all important factors in Conte’s thinking.Conte repeatedly refused an offer to extend his contract, instead agreeing to a deal that increased his pay without extending his commitment to Chelsea beyond 2019. According to friends, only a severe financial penalty clause written into Conte’s original three-year contract dissuaded the former Juventus and Italy coach from walking out.Chelsea’s policy on managerial appointments has been to include a multimillion-pound “claw-back” clause to prevent them exiting the club against its will. The contract of Conte’s predecessor, Jose Mourinho, included a £20m termination penalty, with the Italian understood to have been bound by a similarly penal amount last summer.Should the Premier League-winning manager remain unswayed by this season’s events and execute the plan to leave Chelsea, Abramovich has the option of turning to one of his past appointments as a successor. Dismissed by Bayern Munich last week, Carlo Ancelotti has told friends that he would prefer his next position to be at a Premier League club. Conte granted an interview to the Italian state broadcaster Radio 1 last week, stating that there was “not a doubt in my mind that I will be home before long”. He added: “I miss Italy, that’s beyond doubt, so once I have had some important and life-changing experiences, I will be back.”

I put it in the match thread. Wish I had been with him

Cause Wenger was having his regular hissy fit. Apparently threw all his toys out his pram after the game. Wouldn't suprise me him being up on yet another charge. He says he woula commited suicide if we had scored a late winner WHYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
-
I honestly think he will come but I thought he was a Centarl MF not AM?? But is he better than we already have in any position??? I dont see it. Not like hes a young kid anymore. And what about this?
-
Hes not really had alot of game time but he did score 2 aginst West Brom the other day. So whats yer thoughts? Could he stay fit enough to play a few in a row? Well we will see how he plays tonight at Spuds Chelsea eyeing shock January swoop for frustrated West Ham striker Andy Carroll CHELSEA are reportedly targeting a shock move for West Ham striker Andy Carroll this month. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/671492/Chelsea-West-Ham-Andy-Carroll-Antonio-Conte?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+daily-star-football+(Daily+Star+%3A%3A+Football+Feed)

Hes28 games but still a 7.26 avg.Sandro with a 7.31 in 20 games Hes not the goal scorer of Alonso and we dont know whether Sandro will cope in the PL I still think I would get Telles or Guerreiro over him. And cheaper.

What gets me about Alonso is hes such a good dead ball taker yet he finds it hard to cross alot of times. According to WhoScored.net which I presume is awell established site for stats Alonso is the 4th highest rated WB there is! But Noses isnt on the list. (but Anderson is!! That would be nice)

So Tibo is more likely to stay here whilst his family are in Spain? mmm not sure about that one, I'm afraid I see them both leaving sooner rather than later. Why its so important to get these cobtracts signed with soddin great buyout clauses in them.
-
Really guys why aren't we looking at him?? If he goes to Spuds I'll be spitting blood. Spurs' transfer budget revealed as January pursuit of Shaw, Barkley and Sessegnon gathers pace http://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/transfer-news/tottenham-transfer-sessegnon-shaw-barkley-14101634

Well its very obvious Conte really likes Baks and sees alot in him. And read early interviews saying that we had to give him as much playing time as poss to get him ready! But while he has shown signs of improvement he doesn't seem ready for full games yet. I woulda swapped him at 1/2 time for Drinks. Not only a destroyer but hes quite a creative fella too. A Kante,Waterboy,Cescy 3 would be interesting. Or woulda subbd him for Pedro, Hes a good game changer for us and offers more directive force than Willi. IMHO
-
@ Jason “Do Eden and I encourage each other? Yes. He will say 'if you sign, I will sign' and I say the same to him.” What do you think to that statement? am I being to harsh or deep thinking?
-
Hes also made a better start than the geezer in your sig mate. I know all his donsides but I'll always love him for coming on after subbing Drogs to score the equalizer to knock Barca out
-
Now thats 1 video clip I would like. Could sell it for a fortune! But yeah of course I'd prefer them to want to be full of passion for the team and give their all for us as they both seem to find it hard to do so.(Tho Tibo last night was the most up for it Ive seen him for awhile) as long as they do their job to the utmost of their ability then yeah stop pissing about and sign the fuckin contract. Even tho we all know a contract doesn't mean sod all nowadays unless theres a blinkin great big buy out clause..
-
Yes. He will say 'if you sign, I will sign' and I say the same to him.” I dont like this. What is it some sort of playground? Fuck me these are professional millionair sportsmen. If they dont WANT to play for us then fuck em I dont give a shit who it is. I know theres 3 types of player. Ones who just uses clubs as a stepping stone to climb up another step in the ladder, those who just see working at the club as like any other large company and take home his big wage packet. And then theres those who are proud in the badge on their shirt and will give blood for the team. These ones are hord to find but we once had alot of them. We really got to try to find some more IMHO of course!
-
Tatally agree with everything you said. Its not the manager we need to change its Romans yes men!
-
Gone to Newcastle Lets try a top 4 Pedro Eden Bats Musonda Waterboy Ampadu Kante Rudi Christensen Dave Willy
-
Well I know all playersshould be able to turn off outside distractions but we know life just aint like that. I'm worried he's missing sitters too but just think he will turn out good for us.
-
Yeah I read hes spnding all his time with his crew and going back to his house down here more and more. I reckon hes offski but who's next? And where will he go next? Wengers job?
-
I can only think his mind might be at home with his Mrs and newly discovered twins to be. Just remember that Drogs wasn't the goal mchine when he first came neither. He will come good.
-
2 thoughts about this. Is Shrek trying to play head games or does he just not like him for taking his place, earning a shit load more money etc
