  1. Lucky git!!! Got room for another?? Been thinking of a couple of weeks getting me bum brown!
  2. Subtracting how many penalties tho? Shirley you don't think we have 1 who we could ever say we have to start 'X'! Having a red hot ACM would help us out in so many ways. Not only in G's and A's but as another Jorgi further up the pitch. I just don't see any of our lads doing it and thats sad and infuriating. @Vesper Mrs I've got a project for you. Ive wondered about the teams lack of spark, fight, character, passion, pride and I've wondered IF it could be that our 'foreign' players dont understand our Chelsea history/tradition? Whatever English player you would ask no matter who they were or where from would at least understand what it meant to all of us connected to the club, when they put their shirt on. I stopped believing we should be made to use ANY HG players and that we should be allowed to use any player no matter where from. But I'm wondering slightly IF I was right to think it. It's nothing to do with helping out the England side but its just summet in my head I'm pondering. I know that VERY GOOD HG are few and far between and I dont watch enough other teams to know who/where/why any could be used here So using AN OPEN MIND and thinking along the thoughts I am see if you could come out with a strong CORE of HG's, whether they are PL or what, that we could turn to. Not necessarily one for each position, but a few we could use for awhile with the possibilities of a NEW Old Guard. I dont necessarily think it needs to be English but just playing devils advocate I'd be interested to see what you came up with.
  3. Who knows!!!! IF we get Campos he MIGHT bring Pepe with him eh!!
  4. The guy is 23 now. Hes not some young kid. I'm not for starting CHO every game but you will never convince me there has bot been games when we could have started him over either Eden/Willian/Pedro and or given him far more playing time than he has had. Its about getting a balance IN GENERAL I'm more inclined to play experience over yoof. We need some strong experience in the team but we do need to start looking at younger players. We are in the position where we have several older players. Its a good opportunity to lower our average age, Get a group of lads that could be together as a team for awhile Out with the old. In with the new.
  5. Happy birthday Waterboy!! The only player that hasn't let us down this season!! So ------ 29 with the wages he is on, hmmmm!! Must be a queue a mile long for him! 'Never heard of him': Fans poke fun at Danny Drinkwater as Chelsea wish forgotten man happy 29th birthday Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater celebrated his 29th birthday on Tuesday The club tweeted out a birthday greeting but it was soon mocked by the fans Drinkwater has become a forgotten man since joining from Leicester in 2017 He has not featured for Chelsea since the Community Shield back in August https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6773257/Fans-poke-fun-Danny-Drinkwater-Chelsea-wish-forgotten-man-happy-29th-birthday.html
  6. I would dearly love to see Happy back here cause I loved him. Seeing that big bonce of his up in the box always gave a good target to aim for. Hes got the sort of character thats great on the pitch and dressing room and has obviously gained a lot of experience with his loams His ball playing and passing especially. TBH Ive not seen much of him but have been reading up reports etc the Toffee lot love him And with the game he put in against the bin dipping gits I'm becoming open to bringing him back. But maybe thats my heart ruling my head Tho him and Rudi together would be hard to break thru.
  7. Well hes got plenty of footballing experience.SOUNDS like he will only be in charge of transfers but thats good. Lets hope that he's not just a yesman mouth piece and he has the bottle to veto Granny Penny Pinsher. Who knows eh - MIGHT Even talk Pepe into coming with him!! 8. Brown looked back to best v Watford https://thisisfutbol.com/2019/03/blogs/brown-looked-back-to-best-v-watford/ He scored, making his tally eight in five games since his comeback and more importantly he was full of running and confidence – almost the opposite of his QPR cameo. His goal was as much about his skills as the lack of them in the Watford defence, but one thing’s certain, he won’t get that sort of freedom in the Championship. But it was his all-round game that impressed so much today, and he sprayed some monster passes around the pitch and was head and shoulders above anyone on the opposition team.
  9. Well our schedule and pressure will only get harder not easier, If we have to wrap him in cotton wool maybe he should play in a softer league? I do understand the logic behind CHO not playing but I dont agree theres not been times he couldn't/shouldn't have played. Even as sub.
  10. Of course he needs to start over Alonso. He is better on the ball, faster and he can get to the baseline before he cuts in and crosses. But he does have times when he seems invisible or lifeless.
  11. Really can't agree with Jorgi mate. Thought he was good. I want Sarri to stay but I just dont agree with him on CHO. I know he hasn't proved anything yet but theres been many times I'd have put him on or played him over Willian. RLCs problem is far from simple. Hes not shown much when hes not been injured. He needs to either step up or ship out. How many chances does he need? Hes not a kid any more we can keep blaming it on that.
  12. Not only this but we have a big tendency to overhype and over pay our yoof FAR too much too young (over to you @Fulham Broadway ) It adds far too much pressure that is already on them. I understand the reasons behind it happening. The few from the academy who DO make the 1st team, us wanting/needing new poster kids and to show that our academy works, to keep them at the club etc. Gone are the days we can get these kids that drive to practice in quarter of a million quids worth of sports car to clean players boots with toothbrushes. They would turn round say fuck you and go straight to their solicitor, agent and sell their story to the Sunday papers. IMO we need a world class ACM almost as much as we do a striker
  13. You've got more faith in him than me bruv. But I would love him to make me eat my words.
  14. Well I doubt he would be driving to practice!
  15. I dont understand why not. He was a animal against RM. Why not both? Their not the same positions and Fekir would be just what we need here.
  16. Gooners are as thick as 2 short planka's! Ive not seen enough of him but I think maybe he needs beefing up some. Ive just said summet similar about Tammy as somebody stated he wasn't big enough to handle the PL. I think this is something the majority of our yoof suffer with - IF suffer is the right word.' We all know how physical the PL can get and these kids - ALL players, need to either be able to take a kick, be good enough to avoid the kicks, or big enough to give them back when needed. We do have a few feeble looking players resembling any smack head Ive ever known. Jorgi,CHO even Pulisic are on the thin side. And with Sarris avoidence of weights they need to beef up some other way I think.
  17. I understand exactly what you mean and I think thats 1 subject that the academy should look at. We dont produce very strong lads in general. But is the top of the Championship that much different to the PL? I;m sure they could give a lot of the PL a hard fight when it came down to it. Yes he needs buiding up - do does AC, Jorgi,CHO. I'm in no way saying to start him but as a backup AND HG I can only see a win win. The guys in the Championship are the same size as the PL. Its not a different country. If he can get kicked around there he can take a few bumps here IMHO of course. I would maybe trust him more than I do Barks or RLC. Neither have proven themselves more than a couple of times. OK I know I've never thought RLC upto it but have always HOPED he would come good. And no I dont take the injury excuse. He wasn't hot before it. BUT I do think he is our current best chance of goals in that position. I am praying to anyone or thing that cares to listen that we get a shit hot ACM before a ban. We need one badly.
  18. Have used FF for years. Switched from Chrome and never looked back. Never given me any problems on here or anywhere. Not tried DLing on me mobile. Tho I did sign on to here with it using my WiFi. But soo farthe 'new' phones just been used for calls/Txts. Still very much old school. So when peeps have said about probs here it must be different on diff browsers. I will check them all next time I see someone make a post about it.
  19. Firefox mate. I was wondering why you talked to me about Torbrowser in a msg a short time back. Presumed it was about VPN's?? IF I ever need to do something on the low low I use Opera as its got a very good FREE VPN that GOOD private tracking sites suggest.
  20. I must be in a hot spot cause I've had no probs at all.
  21. Ohhh Believe me bud so am I!! I am still up for a complete overhaul of the players and the club from top to bottom. But the old saying of 'You can't make a silk purse from a pigs ear' is meant for us under Sarri. Not that the player we have are totally shite but they are a mishmash of a team put together by our previous managers to suit THEIR particular, more defense orientated, style. You cant expect them to fully adapt to a totally different type of football system and manager with a forward posession based thinking. He needs to be given a different kind of player. More offense minded. Apart from us needing to upgrade several of the lads Sarri needs to change and adapt to the PL also. We have seen this season that the system Sarri playe HAS worked. We just need to back it fully and give him the right tools to do the job. If then he did fuck up and somehow Roman wasn't happy we would at least have a group of players of a good quality for the next manager to use.
  22. He's sounding almost human and feeling apathy with Sarri! That Bein interview was back in Jan and he got paid £120k for it! Jose Mourinho explains when Sarri-ball will really start to work at Chelsea The former Blues boss has been speaking about Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/news/jose-mourinho-explains-sarri-ball-15915046
  23. So we loan him out - in the hope of him getting the regular experience he needs to better himself - to hopefully benefit us or himself so maybe we can sell him and make money to hopefully buy new players to strengthen the 1st team. But what he does is play for some other development team at a lower level. We really need to look at our academy and work out exactly what its purpose is. Is it for the benefit of the player , to make money from their sales or to use in the 1st team? We need to create a proper structure for them. To define some sort of path to integrate them into the 1st team. Either to train them in house, practicing, playing with them. Or send them on a 2 year loam to a trusted club where we know they will play regular. Then if they still dont reach the standard we need them to be at to come into the 1st's then we sell them. None of this loanagoround BS. Its just plain daft/
