You disagree that I can see our board using the ban to extend the 30+ contracts? I am all for us selling Willian and Pedro but I still think we need to bring in another LW OR RW even with Pully coming in. Unfortunately we really don't know how Pully will get on in the PL. He isn't the strongest built lad out there. But we forever live in hope as he does show promise. Ive said before I am all for giving CHO more playing time but we shouldn't be playing him just because he is CHO. Even if wee sell Willian/Pedro Eden might leave and we should be putting that money into filling his boots. So that will mean we need 2 LW/RW ers So he will still be backup any way you look at it so he will still be unhappy and impatient.

I'm a pretty confident person but I also take into account recent history and previous actions These tend to knock the fuck out of my confidence in them. Ive been talking about organizing my travels this year so that I miss the closed season. I hate transfer windows at the best of times but this ones going to be very important if we manage to get a stay.

They didn't have a good reason to drop the year contracts until this. So they can now do it without showing big signs of backing down I'm still a believer in the 1 year renewables to a large extent. It SHOULD give the plasyers incentive for keeping on his toes to fight for his spot. And I do think that IF the player himself was confident enough in himself and his skills then he shouldn't be worried he would ne asked to sign another year. But at the same time there may come a time when we want a 30+ to stay 3 years as it would give him and maybe the team confidence and settle them. Its a hard one. I think they should give contracts on merit. If someones good whatever their age they get what they deserve. Wish we could pay them like that too.

What we should be doing is like me buddy Mz @Vesper suggests and use Ballak as our DOF. Was just saying in a diff thread that how important it is having a board and manager that get together and all work for the same thing. But it also helps to have a DOF with a footballing background. Like Txiki at Shitty. We have some busibess woman who loses us money that knows less than me about football trying to prove shes got a bigger pair of bollox than the men she goes up against. It needs to change.

Thats what the results you get look like when you have a board and manager that work together and all want the same thing. It also helps to have an experienced DOF of course who knows a bit about football like Txiki.

Not sure mate if we have the right mentality at all levels to do that. But I know I had a great time when we was in the 2nd Div. Didn't take away any of the fans (THEN) support. Different times tho. We have become spoiled. Victims of our own success. Supporters thinking that the home cups are meaningless. All just makes me laugh.

I'd rather stick Willian or Pedro there mate.
