  1. uhm so basically if Matic has to come off unless we play Zouma there we have no DM replacement. Fingers fucking crossed, a Fabregas Ramires pivot couldn't even withstand Bradford City.
  2. Personally I think Remy will stay anyway, maybe Drogba might get 1 more year...but if we sell him it might be a good idea. Is he good? We do have to be careful with Bamford, though. If we get more strikers we do risk demoralising him and that will be the end of it.
  3. Well, yeah. It could give us a creative alternative when Cesc is injured though. Theoretically if Oscar buffed up a bit he could go into the CM with Mata in the 10, or a Ake/Mikel-Matic double pivot behind him. Oscar already defends like one, but this could cause a big problem with him going missing in games at times, considering the amount of running he would be doing would double I imagine. Is Pogba creative? I haven't seen him play much, this is a genuine question, because in this aspect we are so reliant on Fabregas and to a certain extent Hazard it's unreal.
  4. I didn't say that's what we'd actually do, though. Of course, that wouldn't be a smart thing to do. Bamford will be fine. Having said that, what would you do, then?
  5. No, it's basic logic. Why on earth would we buy a player of equal skill as one we already have? It doesn't make sense, not when we have one starting spot for a striker. Harry Kane is on fire right now, but he hasn't shown consistency. Up until late November nobody knew who he was aside from Spurs fans who thought he was some washed up goalkeeper that Arsenal didn't want. Danny Ings, yeah, he's a good player, but he's not worth the £30m we would have to spend to get him. That's an Alexis Sanchez, a Diego Costa. I'm sure Wilson is a good player, but he's not a player we should be looking at. EVEN IF Remy leaves, and Drogba retires, we could easily field a nearly completely internal striking lineup of: Diego, Bamford, Solanke.
  6. wouldn't be a bad shout to bring him back here tbh, Cesc and Mata together would be amazing. Plus, workrate can be taught if we just need him to track back some, because if we were to take him unfortunately I think it would be at the expense of Oscar. Though I don't know if it would be worth the price... Not gonna happen, anyway.
  7. Hasn't Cech been starting all of our cup games, though? Would have thought this will be not different tbh...
  8. lol come on Bradford knock out Scumpool next
  9. Ah yes, Rio Ferdinand... Influenced the FA to charge JT with racist abuse despite being cleared in court and in the same day called Ash a choc ice for defending his captain. What a wanker, so glad he's rotting away on the QPR bench now.
  10. Courtois Iva Zouma Terry Matic Cesc Cuad Messi Willian Eden Costa Would be an interesting formation!
  11. This. The balance is swinging back to the Premier League. When the new deal kicks in, the bottom placed club will be getting more TV money than Real Madrid, now is the perfect time to bring Messi to the PL, although if I were Adidas I would be seriously eyeing up Neymar if we were talking on a purely commercial basis, and if this was the case then he would be going to United, not us, considering Adidas has sacrificed lots of deals outside of football to pay for it, ie England cricket from the top of my head.
  12. Cheers mate. I found that helpful I watched the documentary, wow, that was inspirational. Increased my respect for Jose even more. Imagine what he felt like on his return home. I want Real Madrid in the final. It will be one of the finest displays football will ever see, imo.
  13. @Supporter, can I just say that your way with words is astonishing! I didn't know Jose was so badly treated in Spain. Could you link me to that Ricky Carvalho interview? I'd like to read it I need to watch that documentary posted earlier in this thread. I just hope we can demolish PSG. Real Madrid in QF would be a dream. I want us to knock those fuckers out.
  14. Diego will rip Luiz a new arsehole. Bold prediction; 4-2 Chelsea. Costa double, Hazard, Terry to score last Same lineup as Everton bar Costa and Cesc for Remy and Ramires respectively
  15. Matic for me, whenever he's not in the team we look rubbish. and more often than not we lose, no matter who the opposition are.
  16. if not at the very least coming in as 4th choice CB for Cahill if we buy Varane. Deserves a chance here, depending on his loan spell I guess.. Give Ivan 1 more season at RB and then if Terry buckles he can be the experienced CB to be paired with Kalas/Varane/Zouma
  17. Oh sorry I read it as Hazard being in #10...
  18. I thought Willian was in #10? He looked completely new as well!
  19. Yeah. Don't also forget that moving from Spurs to Real is a pretty huge step (Bale) Depends on where we come in CL I guess, but Chelsea to Real would not be a great step forward... unless he finally gets sick of getting hacked.
  20. Cech Azpi Zouma JT Luis Cesc Matic Cuadrado Willian Hazard Costa Want to see the same Everton lineup again for this, Willian was on fire down the middle. Want.
  21. Because before we had no good options to replace him with, considering Jose didn't trust Shirley. Now, however, we have a couple of alternatives: R Willian Oscar Cuadrado L OR Cuadrado Oscar Willian OR Willian Cesc Cuadrado OR Oscar Willian Cuadrado So I think we will see him rested soon, likely at Burnley, but you are kidding yourself if you think he will be rested at PSG.
  22. *£99m. And to answer your question, what happened is commercialisation.
  23. Fully deserved his MOTM today. Feeling a Matic shirt for next season!
