  1. I just think it's amazing that when Matic is out our defence and midfield simultaneously collapses in every game, no matter how small. Think Ake definitely needs to step up.
  2. I think Mou has more respect for the academy than some of you may imply. I do think though that if Bamford comes back then Remy will be outgoing, unless he is okay with being converted into a winger/AM for us. And if Bamford doesn't, I think he'll get a Premier League loan, or a La Liga loan, and he'll come back in 2016-17. I'm sorry, in his current state Piazon is an upgrade on Drogba. I think he will regress to a coaching role, he won't have much choice, because his decline is quite evident now, really... Kalas will get a PL loan too I think, and on that basis I doubt Cahill is going anywhere. If JT gets injured or severely declines then he'll be recalled. I wonder what we'll do about our keepers when/if Cech leaves. I mean, for the last few years Schwarzer was our 2nd choice, and since I could argue Blackman is better we might just stay where we are with this. Luis might leave, depends on what sort of chances he gets in the rest of the season. Hopefully we get an upgrade on Ramires, too. Ins: Bamford 3rd striker or otherwise (Piazon or x player) Kalas (potentially later in the season, see above) New LB (if Luis leaves) CM/B2B like Koke or Pogba 3rd choice DM (behind Matic and Ake) Outs: Remy Luis (poss.) Ramires Mikel Cech
  3. Anybody know the value of said clause? Same as the sale?
  4. Zouma has been slowly rotated in this year, what's to say Jose won't do the same to Ake? He has very little choice in playing him unless he wants to play a Cesc-Dave pivot (if we preserve the 4231) but I think he'll give Ake the green light imo. This game might decide if he becomes 3rd choice DM or 6th choice. If he plays.
  5. Not all of em do though mate, but if he continues like this then we can sell him on for a tidy sum and maybe even with a cheeky buy back clause in case we're wrong!
  6. Haha I wasn't saying he'd do it. Just stating that it has its advantages
  7. tbf, they've played together in the U21 squad I believe, so it might be good for linkup etc. I honestly have no idea how he's gonna line up for Spurs. But if he plays a Ramires-Cesc pivot we're doomed, any pivot would be better than that. But I get a sinking feeling that's exactly what he'll do...
  8. No, lol, I was thinking about a false 3 man 4-3-3 pivot but now I think about it having him would allow us to play 2 DMs in the pivot and then he wouldn't need to track back so much.plus I feel bad for him with the situation he's in
  9. Great news but as WHS said we deserve much better cuts. Match day revenue must be puny compared these days.
  10. It's a young, out of form team. I think we have a chance, but I think we need to modify our formation for sure to cover for Matic, unless the FA unban him (haha). We've had a lot of minor injuries. I think we can do it but I think we need more motivation. If the whole team had the determination of Iva we would have wrapped the league up by now. We do need some of the beginning of season magic though, and Oscar and cesc both need a holiday so they're fresh again. It worked a treat for Hazard.
  11. Some of us were sceptical about this, but to tell you the truth at the time I didn't actually think it'd happen, I thought Jose would keep his word and keep his summer squad until the next window, but it's general knowlege really that no league matches the physicality and the intensity of the BPL. I'd imagine that this is why we usually don't have a problem with this. For example, Nemanja Matic is big enough and buff enough that this factor will not apply on him no matter where he comes from. Cuadrado is...a little more lean, I can see him getting bullied off of the ball a lot. Having said that, he didn't get bothered much in the Burnley game. It's too early to tell. And @hunt, it's because we lost patience with our sub par right wingers (rightly) and we saw a guy with great stats in a weaker league and maybe the tinted glasses came in. Cuadrado will probably evolve fine, but it's a factor worth considering.
  12. Again. This is why we said he should have been given a chance to perform but he wasn't. Anyway, we can't judge the value of our buy until next season, when he's settled in the PL. As we've learnt, Serie A success means nothing in the PL, and maybe we should consider this factor when the Pogba question comes up again next summer. United must have let him go for a reason.
  13. Fabregas can't defed for shit either, though... if he could replicate the No 8 role, he could be an ideal sub for him. Don't forget he had amazing vision with all of those assists. Mou by the sound of it doesn't like him, though. It's a shame.
  14. If he can play in the Fabregas style role it might be worth seriously considering bringing him back here as rotation for Cesc, the backup creativity, and could give Eden a rest too as he could replicate a similar style, but with Cuadrado and Willian on each wing. Plus I just like the guy, and I reckon we could get him for a steal from United.
  15. And there you go. He's doing City's. Frank Lampard: One of them.
  16. Sounds like he's getting his career back on track.
  17. Also might finally get through to him that he single handedly threw away all he had here so he could earn a few more grand a year.
  18. Amazing he's only 3 years younger than Terry...we should be planning for a future without Brana too Did really well yesterday imo, he seems to be making far fewer defensive mistakes nowadays especially with Zouma in the squad..
  19. lol, in a purely creative fashion he'd probably better off being there or being LW with Hazard in the middle. In all seriousness, he'd be great in a 4-4-2, such a shame Jose wouldn't do it - He would shine here.
  20. Did the video not show it? Jose was on the program for its whole 2 hour run, maybe it was cut. That's what I heard anyway, I had to type from behind so I might have made some mistakes. That's the gist of what he said, anyway.
  21. Yes and this is because many of our attacking players have faced suspension and or injury. Willian, Oscar, Cesc, Costa, and Cuadrado is still adapting to the PL game. I think we'll be seeing Cuadrado Willian Hazard a lot more now, though. Seems to be working quite well, we can give Oscar a holiday which works for players well. See Hazard. Costa is getting back to form and Willian is being eased in too. I think we can't try to rush Cesc back too quickly. I don't think the players are doing anything wrong, just we have too high expectations of them. We're gonna see a different formation for the next couple of weeks though, due to Matic's suspension.
  22. It's on Sky, it'll be on their website, but here's the main quotes he said on the DM (no, I wrote my own) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2963728/Jose-Mourinho-rages-astonishing-rant-Goals-Sunday.html They made errors, though, he wasn't saying Sky made crimes against Diego, but he was referencing their headlines against him and the lack of for Barnes. I'd seriously recommend watching the programme on youtube later, it won't be there yet, though - it finishes at 1pm. https://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=chrome-psyapi2&rlz=1C1LDJZ_enGB510GB515&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8&q=sky%20sports&oq=sky%20sp&aqs=chrome.0.0j69i57j0l4.4371j0j7and the headlines here.
