  1. RM in the group stage would be a good test for our side. Don't think we've ever played them before, actually.
  2. Tbf Real were a red card away from crashing out of the CL. But agreed, we should have got there. Had PSG not had the game of their lives against us we would have gone through.
  3. Yeah I haven't seen him play in more matches but I reckon our midfield 3 (Oscar, Cesc and Matic) would have done better tonight. I do like Koke though. Oscar on the wing and Fabregas in the 10 with Koke-Matic in the pivot would be a pressing masterclass.
  4. lol it's worse than us. Having said that RM dived hard and if that were a PL match Ardo or whatever his name is would never have seen red.
  5. That's what I mean. Chelsea will soon be on the same status as Bayern, Barca et al. Therefore he'd be stupid to leave imo - at the end of his playing career he'll probably get a statue here. As long as he's patient. I can see RM advancing on him but unless he wants to go, we'll never sell him.
  6. Wow such attacking flowing football from RM... 33% possession and nobody's complaining about Atletico.
  7. Why would he go? 3 years time Ronaldo will either be retired, RM will have flogged him back to MU, or he'll be in MLS. Can't see Bale being there fore much longer tbh. Modric will be gone, he'll be 33, Ramos, Casillas etc will be gone... Cant see him leaving - he has the opportunity to be in the centre of one of the great European power houses of the next decade, and he'll be loved by the fans. Plus Jose has had the RM experience and also he made Hazard the man he is. Etc etc.
  8. De Gea/Courtois Iva Fonte Terry Azpi Matic Cesc Sanchez Hazard Kane Costa
  9. They were pretty shit away from home.
  10. If Luiz wasn't having the game of his life on our day and Silva was injured we would have slaughtered them. Pretty sure Motta is out too. Sigh...we could be parking the bus against Barca right now
  11. lol and 4-3 agg Bayern. Cya later Porto, your inner Jose does not approve the bus you parked.
  12. Point 1: I brought him into it because by no means have you been respectful of Oscar - I'm sure you can agree to that. You were the guy who said he couldn't make a 5 yard pass, right? Well imo that's not respectful. But anyway. Point 2: I know how good Desailly was (even if I would never have been old enough to remember) but my point is that his main centre back partner was Leboeuf and I agree, it was probably the best we've seen, but JT mostly started playing in the season before Jose came here - the year Desailly left. Carvalho I do remember and he was fantastic. Which is why I said I wasn't sure. I also remember Alex, but to say he's better than Cahill? He has different qualities and I think he was more proactive in his defending but was he really better than Cahill? Not in my opinion. Gallas I can't remember. I have this strange memory of Gallas playing as a left back, though. Point 3: If your last sentence was meant to patronise me, then that ain't nice. Otherwise, I know what you meant - it's right. But meh. I know Cahill's recent rough patch has tainted people's view of him but he is a good defender. He's right up there even if you disagree that he's the best. If only JT had 5 more seasons in the tank - him and Zouma together would have been fantastic.
  13. Lol, because slagging off Oscar for the last 3 months solid is so professional. But I'll bite. Desailly only played with him for a short time, and few games. Gallas, as far as I remember, wanted to leave and threatened to score own goals to force through a transfer to Arsenal. Carvalho I already said could dispute my claim. Alex, despite being a good defender, still hasn't won what Cahill has. That was my point.
  14. ^This. Gazza could be JT's most successful CB partner, probably ever. Although prime Ricky probably edges him. And as JT gets older next season, it'd be incredibly dumb to get rid of him now, unless we get John Stones or Varane, there is no reason to.
  15. We could always sign the Argentine Branislav...
  16. If we sell Moses to Stoke imo that'd be a good loan team for him next season. Then we'll see what his first team future looks like, pending Koke, RLC, Mikel, and Ramires' futures. Because this lad could easily replace both Ramires and Mikel.
  17. Wow man calm down. I meant in addition to Koke, it would be silly. I do worry for his injury record, though.
  18. IMO it'd be a short sighted signing. Colkett will be coming of age in 2-3 years and he'll be entering the team - just as Fabregas begins to decline. An ideal replacement for me.
  19. I don't think Jose would be so stubborn to sub him in the first minute of every game
