Please play 90 w/o Mikel on Monday...
-
Yeah I swear to god RLC-Matic would have won us the game.
-
It's a symbol of how far we've come that we are moaning about Mikel-RLC midfield IMO. 4 years ago that would only have looked marginally worse than the Mikel-Rami midfield we used. RLC good luck buddy this is your time.
-
But in fairness aside from Uefalona striking we could have won the Champions League that year.
-
I think Mou would.Offers more in defence was my logic at the time, although now I think about it maybe not... If Oscar is on his first half of season form he plays IMO. Really it depends how good a playmaker Koke is. IMO we need Reus more than we need Koke. RLC's in next season and that would mean Cesc in an advanced role and I'd imagine Oscar or Willian sold. ^^^Wow mugged off by the mod
-
Makes play to the whistle
-
Lol IMO if he gets KO'd in the CL that's him done.
-
Dies anybody know the future of this lad? He signed a new contract so Jose must believe in him... PFF I suppose they can't all make it.

Tbh when you think about it aside from introducing pace to our back line there is little the team can be improved. 7 things come to mind: Pace at the back. Zouma for Cahill this season - next season he will likely replace JT. Maybe think about what to do with Ivan - but it's not a pressing issue now. Not until 16/17 anyways. 2. A stronger midfield. Loftus Cheek. Cesc moves forward or RLC as a false no 10. 3. Mikel replacement. Ake can do his job just fine, we can get rid of him now. 4. Another striker to complement Remy and Costa. Could be Bamford, could be Lacazette. 5. A more productive right winger than Willian. Reus would be the dream but Lacazette/Griezmann would be good too. I do like Willian, but over him or Oscar I truly don't know who to choose, considering the latter's potential. Of course I suppose Cuadrado could go on loan as part of a deal - he might get by with Dortmund in the Bliga. We could get by without spending anything - Zouma and RLC would improve our squad markedly and we'll see it. Willian is a decent winger, and Bamford could happily be third striker. However: Reus £50m + Cuadrado loan - if I could choose anybody to supplement our squad it'd be this lad. Top player, this is the quality we should be aiming for. Gundogan £30m or Koke £40m - Luxury signing, would be great but IMO when Loftus Cheek breaks through we might not need them. Lacazette £10m + Remy - Young, great potential, injury record is good. Another luxury buy, Remy is also fantastic for us. John Stones £25m - Luxury luxury buy, and also blocks Christensen, Ake and Kalas's path to the first team. Worth it? We'll see. We also need a second GK. Realistically having Reus would also allow Willian to cover all 3 AM spots. Bamford could also do a few of these if called upon. Having RLC would mean that Cesc, Oscar, and RLC rotate 2 spots. Good to rest our midfield. However getting Reus I reckon would mean one of Oscar and Willian leaves. Final point; realistically to win a quadruple you need a domestic cup squad. Great opportunity to blood youth such as Colkett, Ake, Solanke.
-
Loftus Cheek will be, Ake might go to LB (Dave RB) but I doubt Solanke will play tbh.
-
Imo in big games Mou would play this w/Koke --------Courtois Iva. Cahill. Terry Azpi -------Matic Koke Willian. Oscar/Cesc Hazard ----------Diego
-
The only reason he probably isn't in the squad is because he can't get a work permit. Otherwise he'd probably be here as backup.
-
I hear Torres is a good striker! We should get him!
-
Reus is more creative and IMO the medical staff here will probably negate most of his injury troubles And he'll be cheaper. Much cheaper. Not that I expect Mou spend more on the RW unless we get an outrageous bid for one of Oscar or Willian.
-
Then we can get all their players for free and we can finally become Atletico de Chelsea!
-
Maybe we should give them Mikel to soften the blow

Chelsea 2004-05 vs Chelsea 2014-15

Cech (o) Iva Ricky JT (y) Gallas ---Maka. Lamps Matic ---------Cesc ------Diego Drogba(y) Quite narrow but the fullbacks can sit higher with such midfield steel. Cole would have loved that... -
^^When Oscar has his day he is the best no 10 in the world. This exclusion, therefore, might be best for all parties - not having any break I would have thought speeds up his burnout quite a bit!

Your ideal team for next season ?

Let's also not forget that, while Zouma-Varane sounds fantastic, 2 inexperienced CBs together never tends to end well. -
We could keep him next season, if he does well we sell Remy the season after, and then he might end up with 20 starts a season, maybe more w/ 4-4-2
-
It's called fair play and not wanting to get beaten by the scousers. But if you must know, Jose said he would play "a few kids who havent had many chances this season" - ie Loftus Cheek, Zouma, Cuadrado, in an interview he did just last night.
-
Can someone please take the keyboard away from this lad? ^^
-
Yep. They explained what happened to the T.
-
I expect Cech Azpi Zouma Terry Luis Matic RLC Cuadrado Oscar Hazard Remy

Courtois Azpi Terry Cahill Luis Matic Cesc. Koke Reus. Costa. Hazard Bench: Cech, Zouma, Iva, Ake, Oscar, Willian, Lacazette. This team would be invincible. And be as good as Barca's team IMO. Alternatively Courtois Azpi Terry Varane Luis Matic Gundogan Koke Reus Lewa Hazard ...but that would be if we take sense out of the equation
