  1. I am a Oscar critic, but kudos, today he had a Solid game. Not the best, but he did, what he had to do, and he did it well. Fastening play the moment he got the ball, springing passes. What I don't want to see, personally, that is, is anyone saying he had the best game. I know he assisted, yes, and it was an amazing back heel. But it's a simple pass, and him being a world class player is supposed to do it on a regular basis. Don't make this the Torres thread, I mean, he won us the corner in 2012... That being out, as I said, he was good today and I want to see more of the same. I finally saw him having the balls to put long passes or not slow the game, making a fast - forward pass, unlike, when he usually gets his head up to look for players and takes a few extra touches. If, and IF he maintains form, I've said he is amazing, but the lack of consistency in him, worries me, hence why I will wait until after the Arsenal game, where I expect him to start.
  2. Daily Mail gave him a 5.5. Said he was out of the game. Laugh or cry?
  3. Actually a lot. Your arguments are completely off the charts. When the players listen to the coach, there are no problems. Mr. CR7 and his other Madrid lackeys can be happy all they want for kicking out, Jose, truth is, they are the only ones, who couldn't accommodate themselves and give 100%, even in the league winning season. He gets the maximum out of everyone that wants him there. Oscar's fan base is like Torres's. Jose burns out players, hah. I understand the lack of rotation, but when your substitutes don't deliver what do you expect. He rotated like everybody wanted and we got a 4-2 beating by Bradford. Please suck it up, Oscar is shite, 3rd season straight. Fabregas misplaces passes, yet scores a winner in a crucial three pointer, make the difference. Just to not be completely off topic: I'd love Isco here, but with the arrival of Fabregas I doubt we;d see him. It'd open too much gaps. With Fabre and him, the lack of physicality becomes a potent problem. Unless we have a workhorse,Ramires-type of DM who doesn't stop running in front of the deffence, AND is smart in tackling, marking, movement off the ball, well then, yeah... But hey, that's my opinion.
  4. Everybody. I said I looked at him at that game, and saw what I was impressed by. People want a number 10 like Mata, who scored and assisted, but truth is, under Mourinho such a number 10 will never flourish, because the team won't be built to the attacking freedom of the number 10. Hence why, Koke is good. He may do what Oscar does, I don't know, but even if he does, yesterday his movement, workrate, passing ability, were miles ahead of Oscar's, and his pace is bigger than Oscar's too. People that are saying he is marginally better than Oscar, should really throw themselves off a cliff, because, I failed to see one missplaced pass in a radius of 20 metres in one match, but I've seen Oscar misplace so many passes, in so many different games, that it was criminal. So please, do not misinterprete the Oscar comparision with an Oscar compliment, please.
  5. Amazing workrate in the middle of the pitch. I loved it. Didn't see much of the passing, but as DYC posted, he quickly transitions and moves fast, Oscar is doing the same, but he doesnt have the same workrate. I'm with 2 arms raised for this.
  6. So Izzy Brown, who has never as never been bullied by a physical defender like Clint Hill, Onuoha and Caulker, and has also never played football at the biggest level, had to replace Drogba, who needs one moment and he will make it count and also manages to torment defenders, rather than the other way around. I mean, who the fuck is Izzy Brown, for God's sake? If it was Solanke, okay, he's scored a lot, and even then I wouldn't be bitching so much. The fact, that a part from the goal, the only interesting thing from our attacks, came from the Drogba flick at a corner proves enough. Okay, I can criticise Jose for Ake, who for me, could've done great at DM when Matic was missing, but in the end we won both games. As long as we win, I could care less, if Izzy Brown, Michael Stoch, Franko Di Santo, or even My mum is at the bench. The most important thing, at this stage, is 3 points, nothing more, nothing less. If we manage to secure the title, the youth will get their chance.
  7. I firmly believe, that if Mourinho gets him under his wing, he will develop into one of the best wingers in the league, alongside Hazard, Sanchez, etc. I so wish for this to happen, it is unreal.
  8. 51 million euros. 44 mil.pounds.
  9. Mourinho haters having a field day, because of a quote. :blue scalf:
  10. At just 25 mil. it's a bargain for him, to be fair.
  11. One of the transfers that makes logic. A good right-back, who is also English, filling the HG quota, would probably not cost THAT much, so I think it makes sense. But that is me, and I have a soft spot for him.
  12. Actually, Ivanovic was the bad one against Hull. Cahill allowed N'Zonzi by doing the usual backing off, right after our goal. He wasn't troubled too much. Would pick Zouma 10/10, but hey, that's me.
  13. I highly doubt we'd build so much under FFP rules, only to spend 37 mil. on a defender, where we definetly need the second least strenghtening. If it is not a Varane/ Stones, someone to build along Zouma, than I doubt it. Btw, that chip from Firmino doe.
  14. First, let me say, fantastic piece of read for a guy, like me, who doesn't watch much of La Liga, due to TV restriction here. So, cheers! Second, why so(the quote)? I doubt Atletico would want to sell, even to Barca, mainly because, if they want a shot at challenging/winning La Liga, than selling their best players to a rival for that position would be a kick in the ankle, would it not? He doesn't seem to have a problem playing in a more "bus" style of play, when needed, and already turned down the chance to join Barca, once. I have faith we can land Koke, and to be fair, I'd much rather him to Pogba, but that is only depending on the price. 50 mil. euro compared to 80 is something I'd prefer Chelsea to do. May not be the same quality, but I still firmly believe, like you, Koke can be a huge success here. Cheers, pal.
  15. Not to mention that last times we've done it, all transfers have failed. Etc. Aguero, Falcao, Hulk and so - on.
  16. Shed some light, please. Where does he play, how, reported fee, can he break in the 1st team or is he another, buy now (cheap) sell later ( better price)?
  17. Ehh, not quite, but if you look at it that way, than maybe yes. Just as Sterling was the new Messi, Kane is now the second coming of Christ...or atleast their new Alan Shearer. Having banged all these goals, England sees it's future hero, and the media prefer out of all these flashy foreigners for a natural English man to win it.What better way to cement that statement, without Kane getting the award. Without he's just had a stellar season in an Europa League side. My opinion, that is.
  18. The media wankfest over the fact that Harry Kane has scored 29 goals in an overall poor season for Spurs is out of this world. Daily Fail published an article, with the words, Harry Kane has our vote, why wouldn't he win it? That's what football is about. And while I am not one of the people here that are saying Kane is overrated, I too believe it's a bit over the edge. As every English player for that being. You just know that he will get it. To be fair, I don't know why. His goals are amazing, and yes he has a great goal ratio, but even with that ratio Spurs are 6th or 5th, depending on how them and Southampton play out. We then have Eriksen who has banged so many 90 minute goals, and without his 12 point contribution, they would be mid table. While Hazard, and this is taking my blue glasses off, has been lifting us on his back, nearly every match we have to struggled to play our game. Buuut, that's british media for ya. Do I have to be surprised? I don't particularly care who wins POTY, if that means us getting the BPL trophy. It's just a bit of a mistery to me.
  19. Was good, not great, considering we got him for 2.5 and can make another profit from him, I'm okay with it.
  20. Did I mention I have a man crush on him? Sad, he probably won't win POTY, even if we do win the title.
  21. I like him. For a Matic replacement, he's okay. Having him, Ramires, RLC is okay in terms of back-up, if we are to have Koke/Pogba and Cesc. It would be good, imo.
  22. Honestly, I don't think he had that bad of a game either. But when you are in poor form, you have to burry those chances(Cuadrado too). Only thing he can offer is workrate , and not through the whole game. I think he'd be good in a game where he needs to open up space for Fabregas. Other than that, I don't think he could anything major for us.
  23. If Pogba is 55 mil. and Koke 44, I don't see much difference. I'm happy we are able to buy world-class players, so whoever comes, I'm okay.
