Nope, I watched a handful of Real Madrid matches last season (bout 17 or so) and Benzema was nothing special in most of them. He has one amazing game then 9 bad ones. He has a decent overall game (not even close to that of Ibra, Cavani, Costa, or even Higuain) but his finishing is what really lets him down

He is average, his finishing is average, and his technical ability isn't anything outstanding. That's why Real Madrid have been linked with Falcao for so long now. He's a solid striker, just not really good at anything. Also, @ your second sentence, fernando torres was our no. 1 for 3 years
