Are you telling me Mourinho had no influence on who was sold and who wasn't? May I remind you about KDB? Mata? Schurrle? Filipe Luis? David Luiz... The list is so endless. You are hopelessly in love with Mourinho, more so than you actually like Chelsea.
How can ANY Chelsea fan even hope that a former manager/player beats THEIR club? This is ridiculous. I can't blame people for calling you a Mourinho fan and NOT a Chelsea fan. I have barely even seen you active in this forum, not as active as you are in this thread any way. It's an exciting time with a manager who seems to be passionate about what he's doing and all I see you doing is still lusting after Mourinho even though he left the club in tatters!

I'm not basing what I said off just this match, If you studied our team pattern under Mourinho, you'll remember that a lot of times we looked like the players were playing together for the first time. It was only when we were defending that we had any sort of proper pattern. But in attack, we repeated the style of passing to hazard and hope something happens, then when that doesn't work, we give ivanovic who's always free to cross aimlessly into the box.
We looked lost in so many big matches, remember against PSG when we were defending and trying to counter and suddenly ibrahimovic got a red card, we collapsed. We didn't know how to hold possession or know what to do with the ball, even hazard said we don't play football. This will never happen under Conte because he practices his ideas, his pattern of attacking is so visible on the pitch. This makes average players like Giacherinni, Pelle and Eder look good because there is a practiced routine of attack. Under Mourinho he rarely practiced attacking patterns, what he did was tell hazard to play freely, hence the confused look on a lot of our attacking players at the time especially for less quality players like Oscar and ramires. They need instruction.
I don't hate Mourinho, I loved him but now he's with manutd, I don't need to defend him but say the truth exactly how it was.
Exactly. You can easily see the patterns of Conte's attacking when you watch us. It is very hard to spot for Mourinho even after years of watching us. That's why we looked so confused in attack a lot, especially for less quality players like Oscar and ramires. They need instruction.

Great to hear. Somebody who has actually played at the highest level and knows the players' capabilities.
Good to have a football man back in charge.

Lol. Funny thing is Hazard has almost certainly played through pain that would have you laid up in bed for several weeks. It's so easy to question a player's commitment from the sidelines.

The Belgian players might be dumb when it comes to saying things but I don't they are that dumb to say they aren't good or anything like that.
Search the first part of that quote - "Gareth Bale is a special player, I am not a special player..." - on Google and there is only one page of result and there's not one reliable source shown. So either BBC Wales created their own quote to hype up Bale (what a shocker!) or they blindly quoted from some trolling site.

If we had not shown him loyalty, we would have sacked him long before December. We kept him that long, even after all his controversies, because of his success with us and that we wanted to make this relationship work. And you can talk all about the need to show him support but the fact of the matter is, while the results were poor on the pitch, Mourinho was constantly inciting trouble and creating controversies every single week. When you're already in a bad period, you don't go and create more problems but that's what he did. I don't think Roman wanted to sack him and I doubt he would have on the basis of the results but his petulant behavior was very likely the main thing that sealed his fate. He is already 53 years old and he is an experienced manager. He doesn't need people to tell him that he shouldn't do what he did but he couldn't see the error of his ways (even after doing it countless of times in the last 10 years!) and didn't want to change. Mourinho was the one who burned that bridge.
It's really bizarre that some group of Chelsea fans think we can't survive without Mourinho. It's as though he's the be-all and end-all for us and we don't have him in charge, we are doomed to fail. We have proved that we can win without him and will continue to do so. And so what if he brings United back to the top? Do people actually think they are just going to stuck in a rut for eternity? Even if it's not Mourinho, someone else would bring United back to the top. So I don't get all this outcry that Mourinho will restore greatness to their club.

I don't see why you are so pessimistic.
This time last year this was a title-winning squad. It just need a few improvements and to be taken to the right direction.
Maybe I over-exaggerate about title contenders but to no to be in top 4? Leicester and Tottenham overachieved last season and I doubt they'll be in the same positions they were last year.

Anyway hes gone now, and hopefully will royally fuck up there

Its more symptomatic of modern football. The owners buy a club and leech off the brand loyalty of fans to make a profit (unless theyre obscenely wealthy like Abramovich, Man City owners, then its just polishing their ego).
Successful managers again just leech off the money at the club, again put in by the fans and TV deals. Probably less than 1% of people in top football -that's owners, directors, coaches, medics, players, have any loyalty to their teams whatsoever. Its only the fans.
So no surprise when millionaires, be it players or managers are prostituted around by parasitical agents spout meaningless 'best club in the world' bullshit and do badge kissing. Its all a massive heap of bollox.

What I've just highlighted, believe me when I say this because i mean it, if we were 6th or even 10th i would be banging this tune as much as you are, probably more but we weren't, we were 16th, one point above relegation, it's one thing being in that position August, September, but at Christmas, when has a big club been that bad? Not even Roy Hogsdon season at Liverpool was that horrific.
The players didn't cover themselves in glory but blaming it on them is an easy cop out, their was many factors that went wrong last season with Jose, even if he won the a lot of the players back round there was still so many more stuff that needed fixing.

He said he had always "felt an affinity with Old Trafford" and claimed he has "always enjoyed a rapport with the United fans".
What, like when every time we've played them and they sing ''FUCK OFF MOURINHO, FUCK OFF MOURINHO''

So obvious he always wanted that job. You can also tell he's still pissed off with how it went at Chelsea the second time around and you can rest assured he will be gunning not just for Pep and Wenger but for us as well, possibly in a more personal way to prove a point.
I remember when he signed to come back here and my dad said to me, 'this doesn't feel right, it isn't genuine, this will end in tears', he was right (annoyingly), I knew it myself but I didn't want to openly admit it until now. We were second choice, all the talk about the 'Happy One' was BS, he was the most grumpy SOB since he came back, and being 'One of Us', well that was just manipulation and spin.
I was happy when he got sacked, I literally couldn't take any more of the post match press conferences, the picking of the same old tired, over the hill players, the excuses, the outright mental breakdowns after games. He went from box office to car crash tv since Madrid. Man Utd have their honeymoon period with Jose now, like we all did first and second time around, and while I wish him no ill at all, he's just a football manager at the end of the day, people say the board made some bad choices over the summer but Jose made rank bad choices week after week, after week, after week and that's been forgotten by some on here (although I think the Mourinho FC lot will be signing up to Redcafe soon).
It's all about us now, and Conte is the man, let's hope for a good summer window and a positive start to the season. The media wankfest will go on but let's for a change, hopefully, fly under the radar and make it a great bounceback season!
UP THE BLUES! KTBFFH!!

Buckenalo? Let's face it. If it was about money, Mourinho would still be here. The truth is Mourinho's legacy spared him a lot more time than he should of got and the results were not improving. How people can blame the board for sacking him is beyond me. Given the circumstances, it was 100% the right decision. He is at United, as tough as it is to see, however I have no regrets about him being sacked. He was beginning to have a toxic atmosphere around the club.

This was a man who continued to play shit and out of form players, this man continued to attack his own players/staff and not only that he couldn't see his own faults and was rightly sacked.
Yes he was magnificent for us, let's not go all Liverpool and start spouting history on history...we have moved on, and I for one am glad we are now Mourinholess....The bloke just gives me a headache and is now United's problem.

Of course. That's nothing new. But then again, this is Mourinho we're talking about. He knows his way around words. He says what he's planned before. By saying what he has said, he's starting to burn those bridges, if he hasn't already.
Love how people keep on saying the club fucked it up. Of course, it's their fault that Mourinho had that public outburst against Fearn and Caneiro. It's their fault that Mourinho had a public meltdown after almost every game. It's their fault that Mourinho continued to play same the old poor players week in week out while overlooking those with a point to prove. It's their fault that Mourinho couldn't get the best out of a decent team. It's their fault that Mourinho dragged a team down to just within one point off the relegation zone. Sure, keep on blaming the club.

In fact we should just lock this thread during the Euro's because the overreaction either positive/negative will be insufferable. As LvG showed after the World Cup, national team success isn't an automatic carryover to club success.

Not sure how he is a judas in all honesty. He's had two spells here, he was very successful and has always been linked to the United job. He was never not going to take this job if it came along just because he has ties to Chelsea FC.
Our aim should not be to throw eggs at him, but to put him in his place on the field and rub his face in it that way, the most satisfying of ways.

Thought this trademark thing it's just clickbait bollocks, but now even BBC mentioned it, seems like something serious. I don't know how this shit works, but if it's for real then hold the fucker for ransom and milk United for money. As much as possible. And if a deal can't be struck, then let this go to court for a couple of years and force the deluded one into a sabbatical until everybody forgets about him.

To be honest, I think Emenalo is the true puppet here in the hands of someone else (Granovskaya?). He gets all the blame and all the fingers are pointed at him, while I doubt he's responsible for all the decisions.
