What a miss. How many goals should have been scored in this match? Nobody wants to win!
-
was going to say the same
-
There's some that think he's resigning and is just waiting for a win to reveal it.
-
Change it so that the newest comments display first on Reddit. I follow those match threads when it isn't Chelsea playing. I like all the different supporters making comments on r/soccer. Lots of hate going on in those haha
-
Haha what?

I've never been a fan of the emphasis on possession. Yes, it can show who "controlled" the match, but in most of the matches last season, we had more possession and couldn't do anything with it. People want pretty football, and I get it. It'd be great to watch pretty football every weekend while winning trophies. I guess I'll just shed a tear for "playing ugly" while looking at this

Karma is a bitch for all the Arsenal fans making fun of Chelsea last season. Say what you will, but we never flew two conflicting banners at an away match
-
True, but he's still respected by a lot of United supporters and it's one United voice that is speaking out. It interrupts the siege mentality.
-
Exactly. IMO, the story of the season isn't that other teams haven't been able to capitalize on our mistakes, it's that we've been able to get points even when we haven't played well. We've truly played like champions. If we somehow don't win it with a 10 point lead at this point in the season, it won't be because City or some other team is out of Europe and can focus, it's because we threw away the lead. I don't care how we look anymore. The only thing I care about is points and two wins at Wembley.

If he feels like we all blame him for last season, he's going to take credit for the Premier League titles, which is fair but it isn't the case for the majority of supporters.

Bit like a breakup isn't it? When you never see your ex, it's easier to remember the good times. When they're around you all the time and you see the new relationship, you get annoyed, even if you're in a new one that's going well.

Bet they draw Barca or Real next round

I won't be able to contain myself! The magic of Anfield on a Champions League night!
-
Interesting. I got the opposite feeling. Opposing fans respected him as a manager but they hated his personality.
-
I was worried about that goal coming. Lincoln will continue to tire before Arsenal. Just got to hope for a big mistake from Arsenal.
-
Arsenal fans had a Wexit march?
-
Arsenal the better side so far, but Lincoln is giving them a better fight than Sutton did. Lincoln had a good chance a little while ago.

It's easy to say this looking back, but Mourinho was about as perfect of a hire as Roman could have made at the time. He fit perfectly with the attitude of what was going on at the time, a young manager to usher in a new generation at the club, a generation that nobody liked and we didn't care . Mourinho was the managerial middle finger to the rest of the world and we couldn't have been happier. Nothing is perfect, but Mourinho was close. After all the years away from England, I couldn't have been happier to have him back at the club, but it felt like the siege mentality didn't have the same effect it did the first time around. But it's hard to complain when you win a league title. Last season, it just got annoying hearing excuses after every disappointing match without change. It was last year that really soured me on the "mind games/comments" Mourinho throws around. And it looks like the team got tired of it as well. It worked for the Chelsea with the old guard, but this team is very different. With United, who knows. It could have just taken a season for them to work things out. But while they haven't lost in a while, they haven't won enough to make a good run of it. They could be very dangerous next season. We just have to hope that we get the league this season and keep working to get stronger and have more depth for next season. I have more faith in Conte than I have in a manager in years. The board took good steps last summer with Kante, Alonso and Luiz. Let's hope they continue that with reinforcements.

He was, but a lot of people hated him.
-
He was always unlikable. The only difference is he's no longer our unlikable prick.
-
Were you not a Chelsea supporter in 2009? Honest question, because for me at least, PSG didn't steal a tie from us like Barca did in 2009. PSG deserved to win their ties against us. I absolutely detested Barcelona after 2009. I would have chosen anyone over them. It's declined somewhat after 2012, but who knows what could have been if we'd have won that tie. We could have 2 Champions League titles now for all I know.
-
Not to discount the ability of our players, but Barca also have Messi and Suarez that teams have to worry about. It's pretty much just Hazard in terms of highly skilled attacking players here.
-
It's the same template. Every Nike club is wearing it.
-
To be fair, it's better than the car park that used to be in Stamford Bridge
-
For those complaining, I'd like to remind you what last season was like. We're top of the league, and we're most likely going to win the title
