  1. Handball on the Sanchez goal. Of course
  2. For those that don't know, Big Joe Turner was a famous jazz shouter from Kansas City I love how he tweeted, "SEE YOU IN COURT". Isn't that what just shot down your ban?
  3. Satire doesn't always involve playing a pantomime of something. They're all considered satirical news, because the main focus of the show is to get laughs. You think it gets old because every show makes fun of your ideals. They are biased because they are appealing to a certain demographic of people, because they're job isn't primarily to spread news, it's to make jokes based on the news. Similar to what Chuolo said, the fact that their satirical nature isn't blatantly obvious says more about actual news sources. The audience of Comedy Central isn't conservatives. It's liberals. Comedy's audience is more liberal than conservative.
  4. 100% of my opinion of DM is based on their transfer rumors
  5. What too many people don't take into account is that they're satirists. The things they're making jokes on don't have to tell the whole truth because their main point is to make a joke. Sometimes they bring up good points, sometimes they're just after laughs. They can take a stance on something, but all comedians take sides on issues.
  6. I would say if they don't win the first leg, then he's gone. But that's taking a risk if they were to go down by a lot in the first leg. They've got Swansea away and Millwall away before their away leg against Sevilla. If they lose to both Swansea (massive relegation match) and Millwall (out of the FA Cup), I'd imagine he's gone.
  7. Factcheck: Mail on Sunday’s ‘astonishing evidence’ about global temperature rise The House Science Committee claims scientists faked climate change data—here's what you should know Article names “whistleblower” who told Congress that NOAA manipulated data Allegations in a Daily Mail article seem more office politics than science. Michael Mann, climate scientist in the crosshairs, says fake news must be fought Sorry, climate change deniers, but the global warming 'pause' still never happened Sensational claims of manipulated data in the Mail on Sunday are overblown
  8. They didn't lie. They used 'alternative facts' Apparently, it's being investigated by the NOAA now.
  9. 5 minutes before full-time. It could just be a coincidence.
  10. Probably in July. I don't know when the contract with Adidas runs out, but when we switched from Samsung to Yokohama, the contract didn't end until June, so the new shirt wasn't released until July 16th, right before the pre-season tour.
  11. Oh did you mean hell is not shitting where you live? i thought it you were misworded the phrase "shit where you eat" and had a laugh.
  12. @Spike doesn't everyone shit where they live?
  13. For some reason, I read that as Roberto Martinez the first time, and I almost laughed. I think Ranieri is safe until they're out of the Champions League.
  14. No, I think I got your points pretty well. I don't think there are many people that disagree that radical islamic terrorism is a problem. The degree and danger that it presents is what is up for debate. We've got a lot of problems in the US. What I have a problem with is the racism that comes with the kind of rhetoric that DT and his administration fosters. I'm half-Indonesian and half-white. When I've got a beard, I can be confused for a Middle Eastern. And that's not just in my mind. There's been a couple times a Middle Eastern has confused me for one. I've traveled bearded and clean shaven, and I definitely get a different vibe when I have a beard. What they don't know is that I was raised Catholic to two white parents and never saw myself as a "not-completely-white" until a few years ago. One of my friends from high school would stare down any middle eastern he would see on a plane and start going through scenarios if they were to hijack the plane. I've seen middle easterns called towel heads, sand monkeys, terrorists, etc. While DT hasn't done any of this, his actions embolden those that do. He de-legitimizes those that disagree with him and some that support him are following his lead. There are people that think that, because DT is going to "wage war against terrorists", they're alright to treat their own compatriots who are of M.E. descent like they're not really Americans. While strict following of Islam does not go hand-in-hand with western culture, not all Muslims are strict followers, and I would imagine the segment of strict followers in the US is even lower. But because they look the same, they are subject to the same perception. Sorry, I know my point of emphasis has changed multiple times in this discussion. To be perfectly honest, my position changes a lot, because I try to see all of the sides. I understand that these countries are unstable and pose a threat to the US. But the implications of the administration's actions are more than political, they're social. And viewing every Muslim as an enemy doesn't do anyone any good.
  15. Not ignore, but in a few years time, what are you going to remember Cech for? All the years at Chelsea or that he left for Arsenal?
  16. In case anyone wants a new phone wallpaper
  17. Damn, how can I ever live with myself for having such a crap perspective. Somethings wrong with your perspective for ignoring everything Cech did for this club.
  18. There's also the cultural factor. East Asian cultures tend to value long-term decision making over short term, and that includes finances. It's where the "frugal Asian" comes from.
  19. It wouldn't be like going to Barca, it'd be like going to Atletico. And no, I wouldn't have a problem. Loyalty is something supporters and few footballers have in this sport. This isn't decades ago when the majority of players stayed at the same club for their entire careers. Come on, don't be stupid. We like to make fun of Arsenal, but they're on a completely different level than Crystal Palace and West Ham and you know it. No two other London club plays in the Champions League. No two other London club is regularly in he top four. Would I have wanted him to go somewhere else? Of course! Do I hold it against him? No. He's played so many important games for this club, he's the greatest goalkeeper we've ever had. He deserves to stay in the city where he's settled and continue to play top football, because our club decided that he was getting too old and wanted to go for youth. "Well Petr, you've done so much for this club. You'll be considered one of the best to play the game and you're our best ever goalkeeper. But now you must get the fuck out of London because our supporters may get pissy if you join a rival." By the way, how have Arsenal improved with him? They still didn't win the league last season and many of them want him dropped this season.
  20. I need to work this into a conversation with my Arsenal-supporting friend
  21. Exactly what player who was still considered one of the best in the world is going to sit on the bench for the majority of a season? Because of loyalty? There's no doubt he'll always love Chelsea but he has to look out for himself. Expecting him to do any different is selfish.
