  1. Stop giving the ball to Hazard now. I can see a few petulant tackles coming in on him
  2. Anyone else see Michy trying to take the penalty and Azpi taking the ball away from him?
  3. I can see it both ways. We lose our most creative player, but we all saw how to absolutely demolish our attack last weekend. We don't want spurs to piggyback Hazard all day. It's a big risk, but without being able to solely focus on Hazard and Costa, maybe it'll open things up a bit. Both are on the bench and I imagine we'll see both later in the match. If we're down, we'll probably see Hazard, Costa and Fabregas substitutions after spurs have been running all over the pitch for an hour, a pitch that's larger than at WHL.
  4. But that wasn't my point. Blackface was done very distastefully in the US in the past, which was my point. If there's a white guy jumping around on stage in black face acting like a monkey, it's perpetuating a racist stereotype. The problem with this kind of stuff is what is judged as racist? There's words/phrases/jokes that offend some and don't offend others. There's some obvious things that seem to be offensive no matter who you are talking to/about, but others aren't so black and white.
  5. This is what I would argue. IMO, there's a difference between a joke about a race and a racist joke. And though there may not be anyone around to offend, it can perpetuate or spread a hateful view to others. For example, if someone performed in blackface at a minstrel show to an audience of only white people in the 1920s, no one would be offended; however, it only strengthens the racist views of black people instead of combating it.
  6. Keep in mind how absolutely dreadful Spurs are at Wembley.
  7. The sentiment is absolutely pathetic. But I think the knife itself (minus the antifa crap on it) is pretty cool. I like knives (from my camping days and time in the kitchen. I don't cut anyone).
  8. Sadly, this doesn't apply to everywhere. In a lot of Eastern European countries, black players (and supporters) are still treated like shit.
  9. Questionable lineup choices is the main criticism against Tuchel. He's a very tactical manager, sometimes to a fault. Sometimes you just have to decide on something and trust that it'll come together instead of over analyzing.
  10. I think he wants to put together an administration that he trusts enough so that he doesn't have to do much work. I don't think he realized all that there is to the job of being president. It seems like he's completely out of his depth and can't get out of his campaign mode. Any time something negative happens to him, he starts pointing fingers at the "fake media" and "well, look how bad Hillary is!". A lot of vague proclamations, but very little substance. He wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, but the Republicans are realizing how hard it is to craft a "good" healthcare/health insurance policy. I think this is his number one priority domestically. He talks about getting jobs back, but there are so few jobs available for low-wage industries, it's just not going to happen on a large scale. It's a way to get those people on his side, and IMO, nothing else. The only way to provide low-wage jobs to Americans is if he were to overhaul our infrastructure, which is definitely needed. Internationally, I have no clue. My guess would be to repair the relationship with Israel after the thing when Obama left office and take a harder stance against unstable Middle Eastern countries (no aid, less leniency, etc.). He ran on a "America first" platform and nothing he's done so far has been contradictory to that, so I don't see many concessions to foreign countries. The craziness has died down some in the last couple months, but it's still hard to judge exactly what's going to happen.
  11. Dortmund fans don't seem too disappointed. First, we knew the team wasn't going to be good enough to actually win the Champions League (there's no real sense of "yeah but what if?" with this team). The team needs to focus on securing a Champions League spot next season. And, most importantly, it's just good that everyone's at least alive.
  12. He very rarely makes changes before an hour. This isn't anything new.
  13. From what I read, it was a middle capable of reaching US forces, but since it blew up almost immediately after launch, its hard to say if it was a test launch or something else. Supposedly a fleet of US ships is on its way to the waters close to the Korean Peninsula, but Trump wants China to convince North Korea to slow its roll. If anything ends up happening with North Korea, my guess is it'd start with an attack on South Korea, with the US intervening. What I don't get is any military offense from North Korea will turn practically every major national force against them, even China. Unless they plan on dropping bombs on everyone, they won't last long.
  14. I'd say the vast majority of cops are good people that just want to do their jobs properly. There's just so many cameras on them these days that it's easy to find the bad ones acting up, and we only hear about the bad ones because, like you said, good cops don't make for good stories.
  15. If you want a good laugh, watch some of the Boston Antifa videos The chick looks kinda hot behind that bandanna though
  16. If Dortmund somehow don't advance past Monaco, I'm rooting for whoever wins the Leicester-Atletico tie or Juventus. I just can't bring myself to want Bayern, Real or Barca to ever win a match.
  17. Some updates: It was a deliberate attack, though it has either not been released or is not known who attacked or why. A letter has been found close to the scene but the details have not been released. Marc Bartra is in surgery for a broken wrist. The match will be played tomorrow.
  18. Sounds like nothing serious for Bartra luckily
  19. They were tremendously lucky against us. Any other day and they would have been torn to shreds. Spurs seem to have a lot of luck. I could see it being 3-0, 4-0 Spurs
  20. That's why he continues to start, despite not directly scoring goals and generally looking off. I would love for him to get some form, but I still think him now is more impactful to overall play than Michy would be. That seems to be what Conte thinks as well.
  21. Six goals and three assists in 16 appearances for Hertha Berlin this season! I always liked Kalou, especially his song.
  22. What a strike from Alli. He's still a cunt, but what a strike.
