Thing is you just know he is gonna go 15 matches until his next goal now...this is why it is so frustrating, he CLEARLY CAN DO IT, SO WHY NOT OFTEN?
-
Seriously if we don't win this, sign of crisis starting...worryingly
-
Funny thing is it is possible if Ramires to Juve rumor is true. 40m+Ramires and 20m for Reus, damn 60m and Ramires for 2 of the best players in the world. Not to forget Schurrle can be sold for 15-20m too.
-
Schurrle gone from WC winner to soon-to-be Chelsea reject. Damn life is a roller coaster isn't it.
-
I think his only chance is to go on loan at a crisis club like Everton now and IMPRESS, basically unless he get like 10 goals or double figure for assists he will never come back here.
-
To retire at the end of the season and become one of Jose's assistance according to rumors.
-
On paper our defense is indeed one of the best in the world and statistically it is proven to be similar too. However that is down to our style of play, when we tried to play gungho attacking football like yesterday the lack of speed in our defenders were exposed. Imo now I understand why he wants to park the bus most of the big game away from home, hopefully that is what he does from now on instead of deciding to go toe to toe with other big teams because he clearly cannot instruct the team to dominate away from home while keeping defence discipline at the same time. Lets face it, he is not as good as Pep in this area, will we ever see a dominant display like Bayern at City last season? Or Barca at Arsenal, against MU in both CL finals...etc. Probably not... Lets hope he goes back to keeping it tie AWAY FROM HOME IN BIG MATCHES.
-
LOL people hating on him for that miss, I thought it was an incredibly difficult angle to get a shot away let alone scoring. He did well to guide it as well as he did. If anything, the game yesterday taught us how we needed him in big games like that. Against City, Liverpool, Everton he started and guess what? We were undefeated and should have won all 4 away from home too. He is an integral part of the team in the big matches no matter how you want to look at it, against lesser sides he is too limited and will hinder us, but against big teams where running and work rate is essential he is a necessity. Just look at Oscar and you can see why.

I think the thing with Willian is for some reason he has always been this good player that is just never good at actually producing productive statistic for some reason(goals, assists) even in his best days at Sharkta(spelling) he scored something like 30 goals in 300 matches or something ridiculous like that, that game in the CL where he scored 2 against us was an exception to the rule. Personally I blame the board for signing him for 25-30m instead of getting someone else we know that will be a lot more productive. Rumors is that Roman personally did it because he wanted to help his pal the Russian owner of Anzhi at the time. I don't like to get into conspiracy theories but it sort of making sense looking at it.
-
He has been like this his whole career, even his best and successful squad was made up mostly of a limited amount of players with around nearly 1/3 hardly being used at all. He has never been the type to use a whole squad 24 men effectively, he basically limits himself down to around 16-17 regular for some reason everywhere he went.

Now that Gerrard is leaving wouldn't it be funny if Lampard still plays for City next season somehow and we get Gerrard on loan? That would be epic mega LOL...
-
Mourinho just said he might leave BPL if he keeps getting kicked consistently, 1st look it seems he is starting his usual conspiracy crap again but he actually got a point with this 1.
-
Seeing Gerrard and wishlist in the same sentence...
-
Would be funny if Jose moves his love child Ivan into CB and play Luis at LB with Dave at RB
-
Imo that is fine as long as we win the title in the end, if not questions would need to be asked and his position reviewed if we are trophy less again this season. I hope not though, I want us to do a 09-10 again and play exciting football to winning the league, not barely scrapping over the line because we kept on winning 1-0.
-
For some reason I think he might actually win the title for City, which will be ironic and typical football. It is one of those thing that show why football is the most exciting sport on the planet. It is like Gerrard slip when he was destined to win the title as Liverpool captain after 20 years, or us winning the CL despite having the worst squad in 10 years beating the best club side in football history(Barcelona at the time) and extremely strong Bayern at their own stadium. Hopefully I am wrong but I can actually see it happening, and in a way it is quite funny and predictable at the same time.
-
Yep which will also lead to more 0-0 away to Sunderland
-
He could have scored if only the ball was traveling a few cm on the other side of the post.
-
Wouldn't surprise me however if he starts going back to tight defence football again. Maybe this Spurs result is our Sunderland Capital One last season, I fear we will repeat last season's mistake...
-
You guys want the best partnership in the world ATM? Look to Madrid with Ramos-Pepe and Varane who can easily replaces either seamlessly. That or Bayern in Germany with Boateng-Benatia/Dante.
-
Tbf there is some truth in the Mendes-Mou and players connection thing. I remember reading the book by some Spanish Mou hater who talked about how Mou wanted to sign Hugo Ameida(spelling) for Madrid in 10-11 as backup striker just because of their connection with Mendes. Also how he hated Pedro Leon for something similar.
-
You could argue Di Maria as well but 60m fee made it hard I guess. Now basically we have limited ourselves down to Reus realistically or Bale which is fantasy football at best.
-
Chelsea 6-0 Watford, don't give a shit who plays, I just know we will destroy them, Jose will make the team do it.
-
Naaa if we force Madrid/Barca to make a 120m-150m bid he will be. They will have to sell someone like Suarez/Neymar/Bale...etc to accommodate him.
-
Anyone kind of fed up with his constant non-productivity? It has got to a point where I want to see him trying to score or assists in at least double figure, not fucking running around defending for majority of the matches. Think he is basically becoming last season Ramires, good player to have off the bench but shouldn't be good enough to be starting for us. Need a Reus/Bale player next summer.
