Definite red card, as soon as i saw it i thought it looked a bit dodgy. I've seen many times where a player feigns injury to try and save himself from the card and when i saw the replay i was shouting "It's a red, it's a red, he should go!" You cannot go for the ball like that, it's reckless. BUT.... I'm glad either way even if it was harsh which it wasn't. Man Utd getting screwed by a ref at Old Trafford? Absolute paradise. What a stunning night, i love it! Jose was wrong though, the better team won.

Remember Arsenal's "Invincibles"? So invincible that they were knocked out of the UCL and the FA Cup within 3 days. They were supposed to dominate football for years. There's no way this Man Utd team is going to win the UCL.
-
This game's dead. That first goal so went to the wrong team, it will end up comfortable now.
-
So ..... Arsenal let me down and messed me up, quite expectedly really. I did however put £20 on a Tottenham win in the morning to actually make a slight profit over the weekend lol. Looking at it this morning, i'm quite glad Arsenal lost.
-
That is indeed the catch and you can get put against decent teams too but first things first, we need to make top 4 to give ourselves a chance.
-
What do we want to happen? 1) Tottenham win:- Would put Tottenham back above us by 2 points and keep Arsenal 5 behind us. 2) Draw:- would make both drop 2 points, we'd be level with Tottenham and 4 ahead of Arsenal. 3) Arsenal win:- Would mean we stay 3rd, Tottenham just 1 behind us and Arsenal just 1 behind them, would leave everything so close. I'd rather Tottenham win. There's not much difference between coming 3rd and 4th. Ideally we need to stay as many points away from 5th as possible. 'mon you yids.

It's pretty simple, if we play to our capabilities, we'll comfortably get through this tie. But we haven't played to our capabilities very often at all since that orgasmic win at WHL so it's not a gimme. It will be like the Benfica and Prague games i guess. Last time we went to Romania we were awful in which must be described as one of the worst matches of all time. I would take a draw though and have a one off home game. Middlesbrough had an epic with them in 2006, which i posted in the other thread. All in all, we will get through. Who's next?
-
See, the difference in confidence the fans i.e me, have in the strikers. Bingo.
-
Ok i've decided to go for it but i've also done a £10 bet on the NL Derby to be a draw and City to beat Villa because i really want Arsenal to lose. Also i have history of getting 1 wrong. If Arsenal win i'll probably be back here with the same question. Cash in £250 or go for £323 lol. A Tottenham win keeps me skint but also knocks Arsenal 5 behind us again. win win in a way. I just have that feeling for Arsenal. tbh atm £323 means more to me than seeing us go 5 points clear of Arsenal so i'm a gooner tomorrow. DAMN!
-
What should i do? It's going well, the QPR game was a great hit, chuffed with that as everyone though i was mad. Do i cash in or do i go for it?

This is simply why we love football, for days like these. I really wish we get to another major cup final soon because there's nothing like it. Arsenal fans don't know what they're missing, believe me. I'll give anything to see us win another UCL. That day actually ended up bad for me, getting attacked in a pub and my dad was actually laid out when Drogba stepped up for his peno. He never saw it. Watching it with grandparents and young cousins, uncles, aunties, you name it, it wasn't good at all. I watched it unfold in a mess brawl. I never even saw us lift the trophy. After the JT episode in 2008, i didn't think we'd ever win it, but when we finally did, i had a very bitter sweet day. I just hope to get the chance to do it properly like so many of you guys did. I'm really hoping for Europa league glory. I know it's not as prestigious but it's something similar. Nothing beats European glory in my opinion. May 19th 2012, a date that is tattoo'd on all of our hearts alongside 10th March 1905 (and various other dates lol). This is a special club, a club that has literally taken over my life and has first preference over everything i do. Watching that vid makes me forget about the shambles of season 12/13 but as i said, we can end it with more of the same as last year. And as Martin Tyler said as Mata took the corner, "While there's life, there's hope". Nice to watch that vid before work too, i'm actually happy to go to work, and it's Saturday. You guys should try it out

if you give Ba a run of 15 straight games, he'll guarantee to bang a few in. He won't miss the chances that Torres has over the past couple of years. If Ba fails, it's probably because he hasn't been playing. I think he's a dead cert to start and score today.
-
He's still quick imo, it's just his goalscoring instincts have gone. Against Middlesbrough, everything he did went wrong except for his pace when he skinned the guy on the right side in the first half. He's a hindrance, even his passing has gone to shit. He tries too hard and it's making him worse. He gets in the way, he doesn't take enough shots in a game, it's like he needs to literally place the ball on the line to score. When he's confident, he shows glimpses of his old self like in the game at the Stadium of light showing confidence especially that shot off the bar for Mata's goal. That's when he was playing ok ish. I think the real annoying thing for all of us is that occasionally we do see the Torres of 5 years ago, it shows that it is there but he's not bringing it out. He'll score a few, be really confident like Barca (A) to QPR the next game (H) where he got the hatrick but when he goes 3 or 4 without a goal, he panics. I genuinely believe he's still got it but his state of mind isn't strong enough to bring it out enough. It's all in the mind. The £50m price tag hardly helped him.

Honestly, one day TC need to meet up and go for a beer down the Fuham road. We're all a big family who care a lot about each other.
-
I just can't see it, no matter how much i try n think it can happen. I know there are so many reasons why it should happen which i've mentioned in thee appropriate thread but it just seems too good to be true, like me being a millionaire. I just feel we'll get someone random from abroad who hardly anyone knows. We're running out of options. Still... anyone but this guy we have now will be a plus i suppose. Imagine this team playing like they have been lately under Jose... they'd get the biggest of all bashings. He certainly wouldn't accept top 4 as the goal before the season.

Hope the message can be spread because it's really horrible to see. It wont get any better probably but at least people will think twice if they see this. I don't litter at all tbh, i just never do it, there's no need. There are bins everywhere and if there aren't i keep it in my pocket til i find one.

6,000 out of 600,000 posts, that's not bad. Always enjoyed it here and am not surprised how well it's done. Some forums just fade away after a while, this one is still going very strong. Best place to come after a match and rant like fuck indiscriminately. Long live TC.

I don't really think there's much left to be said in this thread as we know what's gonna happen. He's going to be here until the end of the season and then he will leave. If he was going to be sacked, he woulda been out by now because we've been shocking. We just have to stop the stupid speculation and stop posting the stupid links and stupid stories and odds etc etc. Whilst we're losing games, in his mind the fat cunt is in a no lose situation. He'll either get sacked with a nice pay off or complete his contract and get fulfil his salary, either way, he's sweet. On the other hand, our hierarchy are plotting their next managerial move. Re vamp in the Summer. I just wish it was June already. He wont be gone before then though so we just need to be patient and support the team because there's a lot still left in this season and they need our backing.

Glad he's pissed off, we're more pissed off believe me. He's ruined our season, completely messed it up and it will get worse. 4th place is in jeopardy and i can't see us getting past Man Utd in the cup. Him saying all that shit is good, it means we're getting to him. At least we know 1 FACT and that is that Rafa will not be here for much longer. Can't wait for this season to end.

I'd prefer the Cup win, i just love the FA Cup and watching us play at Wembley and of course I really enjoy watching us win trophies. Cup win at OT, fuck Millwall at Wembley 5-0 en route to winning the FA Cup, beating City in the final. Then to get 4th anyway even after defeat to Man Utd in the league. That's gotta be the perfect scenario.
-
We can't win the FA cup every season. I can see a Manc derby in the final this year i'm afraid.
-
Good to get the job done, Ake was superb, his tackling, pace and passing was so good to watch. Mikel watch out mate. Hazard was also superb when he came on, all in all, not great but job done.
-
Ok it's my flash player, it's buggered for some reason since half time lol how annoying is that.

Every fucking stream is gone, even the 2 just up above are not working for me, nothing is working!

It's all well and good but we don't have a prayer of beating Man Utd away in a game of that magnitude with this current regime. We've won 4 in 6, we aint gonna win it again. Man Utd are hungry for the FA Cup this season after going 9 years without it. Rooney has never won it. We'll beat 'Boro but that's where the journey will end. I'd be confident a few years ago, even a few months ago under Robbie, not now. We can forget about the FA Cup this season.
