  1. Mata has been brilliant of course and Hazard has been getting better, we're certainly seeing the real Hazard now and in the last few weeks he has been breathtakingly good forget them, we know what they're about and everyone knows they are world class. David Luiz is one hell of a footballer. I think him being CB makes us not appreciate just how good this guy is. 12 months ago i wanted him nowhere near our first team, but now i'm gutted when he's not there. He's strong, he's quick, he's skilful, he's commanding, he has aggression and he will get a lot better. Maybe i'm seeing a different David Luiz to you which is great, differences of opinions are needed so all cool but the potential this guy has is immense.... i don't want to derail this thread any more so i'll leave it at that.
  2. Welcome to TC, shame about Beerschot, hope they get through it, especially for the name. We should all have a shot of beer for them. Ignore our Brazilian people, they're just jealous that Belgiums talent is better than theirs
  3. That's a shocking post. I wasn't overly impressed a year or so ago but this season he's been consistently outstanding in my opinion, one of our best 3 or 4 players easily for me. Yes he can be a bit crazy sometimes but that's him. I love him the way he is. He reads the game so well, the way he storms out, intercepts the ball and bursts out with it is beautiful to behold. David Luiz is outstanding.
  4. I've seen him once, the 2nd leg against Galatasaray, then i saw some other bits about him as i was very impressed with what i saw. All i can say is wow! Offer them Marin and 20m because this guy is going to be a superstar. Tbh we have lots of players like him but in this day and age, clubs like us need almost 2 squads if we're gonna play 60+ games a season. There will be some big teams coming in for this guy.
  5. Which every top 10 - 15 ranked country does. The people here just know more about our media because of that English team they all happen to support. Our media has always simply stated that England can perform well if their players all show up and play as well as they can. It's the same for the Italians, French, Brazilians, Spanish, Dutch, Germans, Portuguese ete etc etc.
  6. My Take. Jose won the Uefa Cup and Champions League including everything you can possibly win in Portugal. He came to us, a new country, a new challenge, a club that hasn't won the league for 50 years with an owner willing to spend and do whatever it takes. He won everything in England. JOB DONE! that's not enough to keep repeating over and over.... BORING. Jose is Jose, the special one, he wanted another challenge. He went to Italy, won EVERYTHING in Italy, plus another Champions League. Again..Mr Mourinho wanted yet a new challenge, the biggest challenge at the biggest club in the world, the club that has been surpassed by Barcelona in recent years. He went to Spain and with Real Madrid, and what happened? Yes, he won EVERYTHING again. What's left? I believe now, now that Jose is 50, he's 50 right? I believe he's ready to stay at a club for 10 years or so and i reckon it will be with us. Jose was never gonna commit fully when he was trying to make a name for himself, and because of the path he's taken, look at his impact. He wanted to make a name for himself and win everything, he did it. Now settle down dude, seriously. I think he'll like to manage Portugal one day though and win a trophy but that will be just before he retires. 15 years with us, 5 with Portugal, career over. That's what i think anyway, could be wrong of course lol. I don't think he was sacked, lets put it that way.
  7. He missed those chances because he didn't wanna score against his old team and get coined in the head. I went to a League Cup game in 04/05 between Chelsea and West Ham when Kezman scored his first Chelsea goal and even he got coined in the head, we were left in the ground for over half an hour, scum shit heads. Ba knew we would win anyway, he was just practising his runs and movement. I mean, scoring 3 against an old team isn't exactly fair.
  8. Let's not think, let's watch the goal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IdWKOi2scA
  9. So errr... let me see. Sunday 10th March, Liverpool 3-2 Tottenham Thursday 14th March, Inter 4-1 Tottenham Sunday 17th March, Tottenham 0-1 Fulham Oh dearies. Chelsea go 3rd, 5 points ahead of Arsenal and 1 point ahead of Tottenham with a game in hand over the yids. What a day! I'm guessing Bale played the 2nd half right? I mean he looked pretty fucked at H/T but they didn't sub him off from what i've seen. Btw what a shocking challenge from McManaman, the Wigan player. He should get a 10 match ban for that tackle, absolute disgrace. I'll be surprised if that Newcastle player plays again before 2014.
  10. Unfortunately you will always get 1 or 2 annoying people who will stop it being 100% but he should get a lot, his form in the last 4 or 5 games has been awesome, bit like Robben when he burst onto the scene. And to have Mata too, if we do qualify for the UCL and get a deadly striker and a proper manager, we'll be only great in the next few seasons. I can't wait.
  11. Ok he had a Torres like game but all strikers do. When he does this another 5 or 6 games in succession like today, we can talk.
  12. Great football but took the piss a bit towards the end, we should've really won that game 4 or 5-0. Wonderful to watch at times though with our geniuses behind Ba and back into 3rd place, and a clean sheet and Lampard getting goal number 200! Great day. Ba had one of those games but i'm sure he'll be back on form next where he was so good on his debut for us. Now a break thank christ. Well for some but i mean for us too lol.
  13. Think Bale's injured. Seemed to do his achilles tendon but is still playing, albeit very uncomfortably. He doesn't look too happy.
  14. Lee Camp plays for Norwich? Really? When the fuck did that happen?.... How many GK's do this team have? Blimey.
  15. Bye bye Mark Bunn. Tight call but i think it it hit him just under the arm, seems harsh but not too sure. This could be an interesting game now, thank fuck.
  16. I automatically thought it would be live too as it was 4pm but then yesterday they advertised the live games and i thought .. "Hang on a sec" and checked, i thought it would be on ESPN but no... I'll be surprised if both these live games don't finish 0-0. I am not looking forward to these games at all. But there will obviously be streams. Not the same though.
  17. Can't believe Sky are showing Wigan vs Newcastle instead of Chelsea vs West Ham. What a shit, boring game to put people through.
  18. So he's been in charge of 1 game and has already had the "small team at Old Trafford" moment.
  19. Looking at our ticket prices. £70 to sit in the West Upper against Sunderland. Considering it's the worst place for atmosphere and passion and support and against a shit team it's quite staggering. £52 in the MHL which has a good atmosphere albeit a bit childish at times with idiots singing crap and seeking attention. Tbh i can't ever see myself going to a league game again. I'd go in the League Cup and FA Cup and maybe the UCL group, Europa League if the tickets are between £20-£30 but honestly these prices are quite shocking even though we're not the only ones.
  20. Ok so we're playing the world powerhouse that is San Marino ... but in all seriousness Roy needs to have respect for teams fixture pile ups and select the weakest team possible against San Marino and play a decent team against Montenegro. Against San Marino i'd play Foster Johnson - Dawson - Smalling - Baines Osman - Parker - Gerrard Wellbeck - Rooney - Young All of those players haven't played loads of games this season and it is certainly a strong enough team to beat San Marino, well... that wouldn't be difficult. Come on Roy, don't be a twat.
  21. It speaks volumes for all of us really but yeah at least we actually retained our title the first time we won it and always challenged right to the death in the years after. And at least we won the title on points. They've still gone 45 years without winning the league on points. I know they are happy but that fact would annoy be a bit if i was a City fan. Ah and the fact that they've been knocked out the UCL group stages 2/2.
  22. And there was me thinking he couldn't get any worse. Even for us he never did anything quite that bad.
  23. I was glad Everton won, i mean could you imagine Tottenham or Arsenal failing to make Europe all together? Although they'd be better off in the league, it's still a bit embarrassing. Everton won't challenge us, i'm sure of that. We have them last game so if we've already secured top 4, let em win lol.
  24. We're at the stage now where every match is must win and any failure to win will be hard to take and damage our season. We're obviously not gonna win every game but i do feel we'll win all up to Tottenham, then it could be do or die in the games against Tottenham and Liverpool. I strongly believe we'll win tomorrow. I hope so anyway, those doing the double over us would kill me.
