Whats all this about a great player being wasted in the Championship? He aint proven jack yet, i don't know how he can be rated as a great player. He wont be loaned by a top european team as hes a nobody at this moment in time. He needs to go to a lower league side or a scottish side or whatever because thats the only way he's gonna learn without getting thrown in at the deep end.

lol just a basic thread with a basic question and there's arguments and things getting personal. There's no need for ppl to have a go at ppl's opinions. Everyone has had an opinion and a justified one. There's reasons for wanting to win the premiership and reasons to want to win the Champions League. Premiership is always priority and dominating your own domestic league but the 5 years of hell in the Champions League swings the UCL my way and the fact we never won it. Once we get the champs league the first time i'll probs say league every year but this champs league is something that we aint ever won and we cant possibly come any closer. We'll then get a chance to perform for the honour of being the best team in the world in the club world cup thing and the super cup. Thats the only way to get recognized world wide and to be seen as a big club. Its the next step forward for brand Chelsea

Champions League for me because we aint won it and we've come so close. Well i guess his word is his word but surely he has done as much as he can for Russia. They wont win the World Cup and they probably punched above their weight at the Euro's. He really should stay at Chelsea for himself and for us. We need a manager like him to be given a long term chance asap and no more fucking about. The next manager we have needs to be kept on for a while n not just dumped out.

But thats why the premiership is so good. Just because we had a great squad in 2006-2008 doesnt guarantee you trophies, you know football dont work like that, if it did there would be no point the opposition turning up for matches. Everyone is saying this is liverpool's best squad since the premiership started and they look destined to win nothing. Last season we lost the title on the last day and the Champions league final by the width of a post. If they had gone the other way, this thread wouldnt have been created and it wouldnt of been because we did anything different.

Underachieved for 3 seasons....Come on warnie thats dumb. Just because we aint won the Premiership or the Champions League. We have to realise that its not purely down to us but down to the fact that Man Utd and Liverpool are strong teams and we've just been unlucky beyond belief in the UEFA Champions League. There's no point being hasty about it. We might get lots of luck next season and win 3 trophies, you dont know. You may look at our big games and think played 6 lost 4 but again its luck how Arsenal got the offside goal and Alonso got the huge deflection and at anfield we conceded both goals extremely late. We knocked Liverpool n Juve out of Europe and sooo almost Barca so thats proof that we are capable. Its nothing that we're doing its just the fact that we had a blip under scolari from say october to just after X-Mas and we had some atrocious luck.

Well my thoughts are exactly the same as Elliots. Why have we hit rock bottom i dont get it? We've consistantly been Champions League Semi Finalists (5 in 6 years + a final), top 3 in the prem, top 2 for 5 straight years and now 3rd (by 3 points) behind a much improved Liverpool team and we've been great in the cups again getting to another FA Cup final. I can't see anything to moan about at all in the slightest. When you realise we havent been in a CL semi for 2 years and we're 15 points behind the top 2 without getting to any cup finals, thats the time to be concerned like Arsenal fans. We haven't taken any steps back, just not quite had the luck this year in certain things. No need to worry

Benzema or Ribery for the middle definitely and up front again like said previously Villa or Tevez. Everyone of those names are perfect for us and none are too old. All had CL experience and all play at the highest level. Just hope Roman see's what we see for once

Yeah but theres no real difference from 2nd to 3rd and i dont think they will slip up as they have West Brom away then Tottenham at home. I cant see them losing either even tho West Brom have to win. 2nd 3rd...no difference really. Its just FA Cup final preparation now.
