Diego come back. It is possible that Guus positioned him better. No home defeat this time as was the regular pattern but Oscar p**sed us. When he lost his momentum and tried to start all over I said "forget it".

He's not even the favourite for the ticket. Oddschecker says Marco Rubio. What about Marco Rubio ?

Watford is one of the teams we normally lose. We shall see. I don't agree our players decided to play well against Sunderland because Mourinho left the club. What about against Porto then ? Sunderland are weak. A lot of handshakes from Diego Costa when he was subbed, even the assistant medic. Honestly I 'm too disappointed with him. We might as well have kept Salah and expect him to get better.

Simeone is good if he is free - he made the Atletico wunder team.

As far as the club was concerned the issue was the facebook entry, not Jose's ranting in the sidelines. As always, it was the "Chelsea friendly" journalists who dartedly made it known to everybody in the five continents on the day. The people who watched the game saw some comings and goings in the Chelsea bench but their attention was on what was happening on the pitch in the last two minutes of the match, not the bench. The journalists made it public. Then the woman reacted. It's natural for someone-anyone to react. But no one stepped in to extinguish the fire. She could have made a second post saying "the insignificant bench issue was the product of misunderstanding", Jose could say "I 'm sorry" and that was going to be the end of it. Instead of doing that they escalated and we hear things about "medical ethics", about the womens lib movement having come under threat and all the rest of it. In my opinion some third party is to blame.

The author of this story says Mourinho wanted some transfers in the summer but could n't have them. He did however send away some good men, like Andre Schurle with no real justification.

I 'm a fan of Guus. But is he still up to it ?

JM won a premiership, one league cup, reached one champions league semi. Not bad going. But look at the disaster this year. Can't be his doing. You have to be a saboteur like in the war movies to do that, not JM ! In my opinion he failed dismally in the transfer department plus in judging which players were in their last. The new one has to deal with scorched earth.

Speaking of youngsters though, there are some managers who have a speciality in building teams. Some names of the past I know: Gina Simonovski (Jugoslav) Jaczek Gmoch (Polish)

When a player's time is up you can't bring him back. With football stars it happens every time. Your man is a giant until May-June but come September he is a different quantity - he is wasted. I think most stars ended that way. Maybe they soldier it out for one season then they have to go. If it happens to 5-6 simultaneously then it's big trouble. It's a rare occurence but we are right into it at this moment and without very big measures I 'm afraid it's a very dangerous situation probably for years to come. Can a youth squad make it ? The youth squad everyone remembers in Greece was Panathinaikos of 1966. That time it was n't old age or anything like that to blame but a dispute in the team made 6 or 7 of the divas leave the club. The youngsters were inexperienced but very good. Against all the 2nd-3d-4th class rated teams they managed to win. Two seasons later PAO won the league again with them, plus make it to the European champions final (1971 Wembley against Ajax). Miraculous for a Greek team. That was a phenomenal youth team - does n't happen everytime. So the truth is one needs budget to create a championship winning team.

Championship is looming large. We are definitely the betters of only Aston Villa.

Nothing looked like Chelsea again against a Leicester team who I 'm afraid are not really going places. Very few if any deserve to wear blue shirt.
-
Well, strictly speaking it's Leicester who have the upper hand. I don't have time to look into the issue in great detail but it's Leicester. I can't place a bet against CFC. None at all in favour of CFC yes, if the going is tough. A bookie behaving like that will go to the poor house.

And unluring some others ? Does n't look like it in this case - some other consideration. The 100% luring I 've seen was with eurovision betting, 6 years ago. The Russian song was the favourite then a little before the presentation hour the prices for Ukraine tumbled down. Russia won but they made it look like it was some last minute info to attract money for Ukraine. I 'm sure of it. Here it does n't look like luring - or cheese as they call it. To the extent it is legal to lure, I don't fancy they can do it in such a way. Leicester are top of the table, we are 12th.
-
Hey, we are favourites with 2.37. How did the bookies work that one out ?
-
We could use the transfer window to improve things. In any case we just have to have a go. Mourinho named four players who are underperforminh. Cahill was one of them but rather wrongfully. For the other three age is the factor and Diego Costa was not among the four.

Look France is fantastic. When using the ferry from Dover to Calais, the French had real hamburgers -not nylon- and tomatoes the size of a small melon. When from Calais to Dover it was back to Spartan existence. The English tomatoes for instance were a downright regulatory offense. Don Juan the king of Spain when student in England made the same remarks but in vain. Nothing changed.

Yeah - sleepy time time overtime. In the end they fell from Eiffel tower and survived.

PSG went down like tame little lambs after knocking us out last year. The year before we put up great fight against Atletico in the semi. PSG are little fellows really, but maybe just now we ain't good enough - maybe.

Costa does the beach hero performances well so the fans love him - never mind the cards. But he's too "uncle Georgy" for this level of football. I remember some of his performences with Atletico in 2013-14 but not in detail. Then in the final against Real Madrid he did n't play because of injury. Then in Brazil he was useless along with the rest of the Spanish team, when he was already a Chelsea player. With us he started well. He was effective although instances of slow-motionism were discernible. From Jan 2015 and afterwards, nothing. 12 months is a long time.
-
I 'm not happy with Costa. He seems to keep missing the simplest of chances. He actually missed the first goal and then the billiard ball collision favoured us. He plays up front so once in a blue moon he finds the net. I 'm afraid I consider him now the no 1 reason for our problems. There are reasons no 2, 3, 4, 5 ... of course - he could n't be the only one. Against Bournemouth for instance why did n't we score at least one before they scored ? Where is our high caliber striker ? I 've seen it before. High profile transfers failing to deliver and Torres was n't one of them imho. Sevchenko is the typical example. Falcao from Monaco to United, but we know the reason for that. Greaves to AC Milan in the old years.
