And if pressure doesn't get to them, fatigue definitely will.

Man, this game will be no easy game at all. Since that we are not a great build up team and we much more effective with our counter attacks, these key injuries in the midfield will make it a difficult one. They have have some good players and they are pretty physical. However they are tactically poor and tend to play in an individualistic style, so that can be advantage. Their defence is poor so that can play to our advantage if Eto/Torres are in form and the rest of the AMs. I just hope we don't get injuries in this game. They can be very reckless.

Salah and Matic can not play in the champions league this season mate.
-
Well I don't think he is burnt out at all. He is Just young. He is still inconsistant which is ok. All players sometimes drop in form for a bit and then regain it back and furthermore progress. That's why people say most players reach their prime by 26 or 27. All great players went through that phase. The lad is clearly talented and skilled and has huge potential more than what he has shown in the past. I think during times like these it is best to support the player as much as possible. I am sure that he is not currently happy and his self confidence might be shaking a bit. But I am confident the Mourinho will be stand behind his back and the rest of the squad. I am hoping fans do the same cause they remain the strongest confidence and motivational boost for any player.

I agree man. Don't you feel that the attackers are trying to take on defenders all of the time instead of passing around or connecting with each other?
-
Matic yes, but Salah I think he will be better off as sub right now. Unless he has adapted to the system which I really doubt.

I like the way Mourinho handled this press confrence. To me, if he showed signs of anything, then he should signs of deep concentration and focus on the the game tomorrow. He had no interest in talking about anything else. Shame though that Luiz wont play in midfield tomorrow, but I hope he would be fit for Galata's next week.

lol.So know it is not Middle-easterns fault? Not say page 67?

I think this would vary from one team to another. If you have a team full of injuries that means that some players will have to keep playing through fatigue and some of them would be even playing in positions that they are not very good at. Remember that though its true that the more you play the more you are in your element, but muscles need to relax in order to rebuild and restore energy levels. For example ( and taking in consideration that entire team played badly) Cahill would have performed much better infront of City if he had more time to recover from the injury he got infront of Brom. but Terry was still out. So I guess if you are practicing and playing every day it would do you more damage than good. Plus there is always the psychological aspect of the game, that too plays a part. But I totally agree on the tactics part, cause it can play a major role.

Respect to Bayern and Arsenal today. Great game and Arsenal showed great character. If they start at the Alianz they way they did this game and manage to get a goal, they may be right back in it.
-
Any expectations for Bayern vs Arsenal game?
-
looooooooooool. No way they are even close to Barca or Bayern. For anyone to think that they are is pretty dilusional. So what they are competing for the EPL title. I have been watching the premiere league since 1995 and as far as I know there are always 3 or 4 teams competing for it. Doesn't make them a great team. The FA cup is not even in the bag for them. They are out of the champions league as far as I believe and most people would agree. They don't even have a unique system that makes them exceptional!! Not only do they need glory, they need to be consitent in their titles and defeating big teams from all over the world. CIty is way overrated.

He knows how to take pressure off of his players and direct all the attention of the media somewhere else.
-
He will definitely be in for a treat if we meet up. Mourinho is the best manager I have see that knows how to deal with Barca's system of play
-
In addition to what you have said, I don't think they executed their counter attack that well or utilized Silva or Yaya efficiently. Well said mate.
-
100% agree with you, but can any team keep dominating them all the time? If Bayern plays against Barca again the way they played City, I don't think they will have a chance. But again, Barca are less threatening in their final third than they used to be
-
I think Mourinho wanted to put pressure on Pelligrini by basically saying City is not as good as anyone claims
-
But you gotta admit no team in the world presses like Barca does. Neither does any team control the midfield play like them. Though I agree that lately they haven't been creating as much chances as they should.
-
Barca have performed relatively good in their past 3 or 4 games. Messi is looking alright I guess. I think the worst Barca team is much better than City
-
I agree Costa would be a GREAT addition.
-
I read that a couple of hours ago. Mourinho is a guy who know what he is doing. He also thinks that next season will be great for Chelsea. I think he will modify his offensive tactics a lot making us more aggressive
-
The fact that in an entire match we had ONLY 2 SHOTS OFF TARGET and 0 ON TARGET does not exaggurate the isolation at all. And with all due respect but the middfield is directly related with an attach build up. Maybe not as much in a counter attack playe but DEFINETLY in an attack build up. Otherwise they will not be called middfielders they would be simply extra defenders. I am quiet sure that you know a lot of midfielders in the EPL and La liga and the rest of the big European leagues who resposible for attacking buil up not only defence.
-
Given that Oscar and Torres are no strangers to big games and understand the Cheslea system well, they still failed to pose any threat what so ever on City. I don't blame them, they hardly got a touch on the ball. Same as Salah he hardly got a touch on the ball. It is quiet simple and clear that we had no saying what so ever in the middfield area. No passes or control from Ramirez or Mikel. The forwards we isolated completely. City overwhelmed the midfield area and hence the control of the match. Schurrle's position is the same as Salah's. He would have still been isolated. Torres's is the same as Eto, still would have been isolated. The only way this would have changed or atleast helped us to creat more chances was the midfield. That was why Hazard was dropping back to get the ball to try to break this isolation.
-
I respect your opinion. I kind of feel 4-1-2-3 would be more offensively aggressive and we would be able to create a lot of scorring opportunities. Oscar and Willian will be providing alot of assistance to Hazard, Scurrle and Eto offensively.
-
Torres came in but I hardly call his performance a catalystic one! I think you are misreading the game. We lost our match tactically, not because of an individual player. I doubt if Messi came in any difference would have hapened. Yaya controlled the middfield battle very well. We defended tooooo deep. Hazard had no support from the middfield, neither did Salah or Eto or any other player. You can debate tactics or team freshness but certainly not a performance of a single player or a decision on a single sub. What about the rest of the subs? Did any of those make a "catalystic" change? NOPE.
