Great performance, what else can be said about that?! Five unreplied goals vs Schalke reminds me of what Madrid did to them last season when they won the Champions league. It sends out a message to Europe that we aren't playing games this season. Now time to relax, forget about this and prepare for Sunderland away.

Wow, what an incredible performance! To come away from home in Germany and score 5 (!) unreplied goals is astonishing. This team is simply incredible at the moment.
-
Some of our players are clearly getting tired. I'm surprised Mourinho hasn't subbed out Hazard yet. This game has been over for a long while.

Willian chooses the wrong choice.
-
Fantastic away performance in Europe! I'm really impressed we're sticking to our normal style and dictating the tempo. Brilliant! I hope we continue the same way in the 2nd half.
-
Maybe Remy isn't 100% match-fit. He was out for almost a month. It's the only logical reason I can think of that he's not even on the bench.
-
We have to be mindful of Uchida's over-lapping runs down the right because he's a monster at that. The best way to do that is for Hazard and Luis to pin him in his half when they have the ball by playing with more width. We can't let him dictate the tempo of attacks to us. Choupo-Moting is also a threat and we have to be mindful of his pace. Aside from that, I don't see anything in that line-up we have to be concerned about.
-
wtf is Schurrle doing in the line-up?

Ha, I remember when we were linked to signing Fabregas and some rival fans and even certain journalists from factions within the football media were perplexed as to why we were interested as he wasn't a "Mourinho-type player". Probably one of the most silly, overused and pointless phrases in current football vernacular.

Boga is roughly similar talent to Hazard at 17. There, I said it. He already has everything, it's frightening actually. And he's all ours . Instead of wrecking him with pointless bad loans, initially at least, he should be drafted into the first team immediately next season. He's arguably the most first team ready guy in the youth set-up and his style fits in perfectly with that of the first team.
-
No need at all to have let Ryan go. I always rated him. But I guess it's better playing every game for a good team than being a squad player for a great one.
-
Whilst offering a non-existent threat and slowing down our attacking play. I love Azpi, he's defensively impeccable but against most teams we face this season, we need more from our left full back.

Schalke have been pretty disappointing in the Bundesliga this season but have been strong at home. They just beat Wolfsburg at home, who have been the most impressive team in Bundesliga this season bar Bayern. I think they haven't lost a single game at the Veltins-Arena in any competition, so we're in for a very difficult game. I hope we continue to see more of the "evolution" in our play that we've seen for majority of the season, trying to impose our style of opposition on the opposition regardless of strength of opposition or venue. We've did that against Man United (excluding the last 25 mins) and Liverpool just fairly recently. Last season vs Schalke in this same fixture, we relied too much on being compact and playing on the break. At times, they passed circles around us but lost badly, partly due to their naivety. We have to go there, play with confidence and a new dimension (i.e try to play our passing game and if possible dictate tempo and have decent ball possession/circulation) and show the people what this new Chelsea is all about. It's important this new team gets used to playing in this manner away from home because we'll need it a lot in the future against the best teams in the latter stages of the knock-out phase. Hopefully and more importantly, we also get the win. I'm confident we will.

Very sad news indeed. RIP Mr Neal.

What a season! All of our enemies have turned to shit. Long may it continue.

I could have sworn they did the former. They did sit back, defend deep and play on the break. If anything, it was our quality of play and individual quality all over the pitch that moved them from side to side and eventually opened them up.

People complaining about us talking the foot off the pedal with a 2 goal lead vs a 10 man team don't have a clue about football. We have a very difficult match vs Schalke on Tuesday. The game was over in the 1st half. Injuries and bad tackles are a reality in football and can occur at many times. It's why Hazard for example wasn't making any slaloming dribbling runs but was happy to stand off and make simple passes. No one was trying to force the issue and get hurt going into the congested amount of fixtures in the Christmas period. You wanted Hazard to get injured by trying to force a run in a match we've already won and then he gets injured? C'mon, these guys are not stupid, they're professional footballers. A West Brom player could have carried out his frustration on one of ours, they had nothing to lose in a lost game.

WENGER OUT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! Hilarious club!
