  1. This would have been a good game to play Hazard as a 10 and Willian on the left.
  2. Hazard's future could/should be in a central role. I'm not certain playing so wide gets the best out of his talents.
  3. The double O agents are in town. Great new CFC suits!
  4. Neville on Azpilicueta "I don't see him making a mistake". He was caught out of position for Everton's 1st goal earlier this season. I can think of other situations were he's made mistakes that cost us, particularly towards the end of last season. PSG, Sunderland, Atletico etc. I like Azpilicueta a lot, he's a honest player who has made the most out of the limited skill he has but I'll be honest. He's a great 1 v 1 defender but he's become slightly overrated. Last season, we were a defensive team and it fitted Cesar very well, but like Ramires, he just seems out of place in that left back role in this new Chelsea. It's unreasonable to make a direct comparison between him and Ivanovic or even Luis because both those players are given license to overlap and help our forward players. Azpilcueta is defending almost all game, so the chances of him getting caught out are minimized greatly. If players like Zabaleta and Ivanovic are given one task to defend, of course they're going to look better than they actually are. At this moment in time, I can't make a case for him starting over Luis, for balance reasons, or for Ivanovic because he's improved his final ball drastically and he's a force of nature when he bombs forward.
  5. I might sound pedantic, but I don't think he's done much this season to be deserving of that accolade. Seems very random. He doesn't impress me that much now since it's a much more attacking team.. His job is also simpler than Ivanovic since he's the one defending most of the time and rarely overlaps. IMO, we look more fluent as an attacking force with Luis and Brana.
  6. Worrall has a sensible article on this : http://www.espnfc.com/club/chelsea/363/blog/post/2125664/how-dare-mou-criticise-blues-fans The comments sections just epitomizes part of the problem with our global fanbase.
  7. IMO, this was a calculated comment from Mourinho given the team's performances since the Maribor game haven't exactly set the world alight. If Chelsea went out and thumped QPR 4-0, I doubt Jose would have said what he said about the atmosphere. I've followed his career too long to know how he operates, almost in a Machiavellian way. He's always plotting something in his press conferences and thrives on that tension. Pity the sword fell on his own fans this time. The fact he said the exact same thing in his previous clubs about the Inter and Madrid fans lends credence to that theory.
  8. An ideal situation is that he gets rested vs Maribor and returns to the XI for the Liverpool game.
  9. I see your point but considering how many players we had in the box to deal with the situation, it's kind of understandable.
  10. A Chelsea fan recently contacted JT via Instagram and the legend responded: joecfcdavies Hi JT, I thought I would write to you because I feel you're someone in the club who would understand, because you're a fan like us and many of us believe something needs to be done. As much as we all love Jose, his comments yesterday was not called for and was completely bang out of order for people who pay ridiculous prices each week to watch Chelsea. Here lies the first issue, pricing. It has become so expensive following football now that many proper fans are being priced out of going to Stamford bridge and being replaced by tourists who of course won't be singing or making noise. Another one problem is the stewarding, the problem is as soon as people try to stand up and make an atmosphere (you're obviously not gonna have atmosphere sitting down) we get threatened with ejection if we don't sit down so no one wants to make an atmosphere now in fear of getting chucked out. Another problem is the away fans in the famous shed end. If the away fans were in the west upper or East upper then they wouldn't be heard as much as we have a bigger platform to make noise. There are many solutions to the atmosphere problem like singing sections, safe standing, cheaper tickets but the club has done nothing. As you know John our away support is brilliant, because we are standing all game, not being threatened to be kicked out and tickets are generally cheaper. The whole point i am trying to get across is ths all well and good Jose slagging off our support but will he actually do anything about it? because down thing needs to be done rather than just slagging off people who pay loads of money to be told to sit down or face ejection from the stadium. Sorry to bother you JT but as our greatest ever player and a fan yourself, I feel you have influence and understand what we are feeling. Regards, Joe. johnterry.26 Joe I'm just about to go and train but will contact you after training today. Please send your number. JT.
  11. I feel the same way about them too. They haven't looked that convincing to me this season. With Silva out, I see them dropping even more points.
  12. I think it was something like 12 out of 14 from set-pieces. Chances created are a far bigger indicator of creativity than assists which depends on others scoring.
  13. And Smalling, the daft cunt has thrown the game away. I'm not even watching this shit anymore.
  14. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2948g5_hazard-it-was-a-difficult-game-hd_sport Hazard makes an interesting point around the 0:59 second mark. He said he initially struggled to get into the game because he couldn't touch the ball in the first 10 mins. I noticed that too. I was screaming at Matic and Fabregas especially too spread the ball to the left side were he was so he could get an early touch but most of the passes were going to the right. I hope we can work on our early game ball circulation more.
  15. I personally cringe when I hear the Mourinho chants, it's not as frequent or as vociferous as in his 1st spell here but it's annoying when the players are busting their butts out there. Even Jose said he doesn't like it. The same thing with the Gerrard chant. It's overdone. When we're crushing teams, why should we care about the bloody Liverpool captain? The best chants are the ones about Chelsea and the players on the pitch.
  16. From what I'm reading by those that were actually at the game, (and from what I heard when watching) it was a standard EPL atmosphere. I don't understand what Jose is moaning about. Sometimes it's best to shut up and revel in the progress the team has made thus far this season instead of making asinine comments to the media.
