I won't be cheap at all to get Ibrah from PSG, they won't sell so he is out of the picture. Lewandowski has other moves happening so this one is also impossible. I have a really bad feeling about Falcao and his knee. Rooney is on 300k a week, hell no. Suarez won't be sold to an English club at least not in the upcoming window. RVP is toxic keep him away from this club. Messi is not for sale and never will be. I really don't see why City would sell Aguero if they had any sense. I think Costa and Balotelli absolutely deserve to be on this list and we may not have much to choose from if we have to sign a striker. That leaves Balo, Costa, Higuain, Benzema and with the slim outside chance of Cavani being available in the summer, there is also a decent chance none of these strikers will be available in the summer.

He's no Bobby Robson that's for sure. Mourinho at least does have personality and he's honest in what you see from him. Love it or hate it (I particularly like it) he cares very little to filter out what he says so that it's safe, my kind of people.

But what if the club tells Mourinho that's the only way? Or if Mourinho through his own will see's it as the only way to stay squeaky clean in light of FFP?

37m is a lot for him specifically but he's going to be good. There may be other young DMs with more brawn or pace/dribbling than Carvalho but I can't find any as well rounded and mature as him.

Is there anyone here that would accept selling Lukaku if it was the only way to sign Costa?
-
If we sell anything to our rivals it should be old used up players not players with this much potential. Especially the Spurs, we don't need their stinkn' money.

Nobody hates you buddy. You should that you two PSG guys aren't anywhere near as bad the Galatasaray guys from the other week, at least you guys are talking about football very objectively (even if we disagree). To be honest though I don't take too kindly to any of the new rich teams, I know the fans are the same guys that have given our club a hard time over the last decade. So many clubs are doing the same thing we did by getting lucky with a wealthy investor and none of the supporters have the slightest clue how much hate we've received over the years. If it wasn't for Abramovich and Chelsea pioneering the whole thing the clubs that did it after us would not have known what to do so soon, and they wouldn't have the social protection of walking behind the wake of all the abuse we Chelsea fans endure. Chelsea fans can be like a dog that's been abused a lot, its as friendly as the other dogs just take special care not to tease it (I too am guilty of this). You're getting these 'cocky' response because this year everyone if feeling confident, if this was last year we would have been much apprehensive. This year I feel like we can take on anybody and at the very least we won't get destroyed, next year should be even better. Me confidence personally comes from the fact that PSG haven't faced any of Europe's best defenses and we are arguably Europe's defensive juggernaut (in our current form and not our record over the season). All season long teams have wilted in frustration at the vice grips that come from our constant team-wide pressure. We won't role you over, if Blanc plays Motta, Matuidi and Veratti it will be a very safe Mourinho like approach and it won't be easy to break hrough. With Ibrahimovic and Cavani up front anything can happen but we have firepower too albeit our guns aren't as big.

He just looks like he's the nicest guy. Hopefully a humble guy like this can keep the locker-room respectful and level headed with his example. I honestly think he an score a lot of goals next season.

Those aren't the most important qualities when you have an extra set of legs on your side.

If Chalobah doesn't improve I don't want him near first team in his current form. Lamps is probably best let go, paid to much money to be playing a small role and this year I've noticed how slow he really is.

Don't pretend to watch the league. You have to play physical when your game is as slow as molasses, anyone with some sort of speed has a lot of real estate to work with in Ligue 1. The Premier is at least as physical as the french league but the game is played magnitudes faster. There is also far less space to work it, the French league is physical I'll give it that but there's about as much space as Serie A and our players aren't usually spoiled by all that space to work around in. I don't think PSG is going to adapt well to how compressed our team will have them, and they won't be able to out muscle us or out pace us. Our whole team will work to compress and squeeze the life out of the team and it doubt its something PSG have experienced yet this season. Honestly do you believe FIFA14 stats were delivered by the Angel Gabriel himself? Get out of here.

None of those players would be able to go toe to toe with Yaya Toure like Willian did.

Are you crazy. That's a penalty and a red card for me without hesitation. It wasn't a hand ball in the box to stop a pass or a dribble or something (which still deserve a red card) it was a deliberate hand ball to stop a shot, I would have been furious if it had not been a red card, although I hate red cards.

Contrary to what the pundits say our must win game formation is not 433. I've followed Mourinho for a long time and watched him at Inter closely and even at Real Madrid. Real Madrid however would not let him play his 4321 (sometimes a 4312 depending on the subs) because it went against their attacking style. They did however give Mourinho the green light to play that formation against Barcelona only. The 3 mids can be all defensive midfielders if they have to be in Mourinho's trivote, 2 players usually do all the work out wide and 1 striker keeps the space for the moving players. It's not a 4-3-3 and its so much more rigid than other formations but the Trivote usually means your backline are always prepared before they get hit, its like playing a mini back line before your back line. Normally our 4231 is better and so much more versatile in play and after substitutions but against teams with enough firepower to worry us Mourinho employed 4321 on many occasions and it has won him the Champion's league and many of Jose's toughest matches ever. For this formation David Luiz is a dream midfield, and Mourinho knows that. When we play 4231 however, there is no reason to play him apart from injuries and suspension. That might not be enough to warrant keeping him, if we can't use him as a CB and he only gets the occasional outing as a mid that is very unfair to Luiz. I don't like to have expensive players that could grab us maybe over 20m on the transfer market just sitting on the bench or in tiny roles. Lesser players should fill those small occasional roles and the way we are using Luiz right now is a bit of waste because he is a high caliber player.

I don't think he will overtake Willian as in most cases Willian is a safer bet, Salah on the right will be great at running some of the older leftbacks ragged. If Willian is being moved more centrally and we need someone who can do the right side and/or center of the midfield its gotta be Atsu... Atsu is left footed like Salah and it works with this team because Atsu said himself he loves to cut in from the right and have a shot ready for his left foot. I like Piazon but if what Mourinho is saying about moving Willian more central is true it would give nice opportunity for Atsu to come in an play a position he likes. Lucas Piazon is more comfortable with the ball wide and deep on the left and cutting in from there.

Legendary status or not Ivanovic just doesn't do it for me as a rightback to always rely on, he is going to win is us balls but he does get in the way of our faster more technical attackers. There are certain things he does well but he doesn't do the things I feel are important well at all, I'm not the manager of this team however.

Inter aren't so bad to watch, they relax too much and have to scramble in last minutes usually but they lose because they drop the ball as opposed to being overwhelmed. A LOT of misses of clear cut chances has hurt them bad and they were serious about qualifying for CL or at least Europa at the start of the season, they had goals to tweaking this team into a CL team for next season. That's a lot of CM's to acquire and we don't have room for 3 but I see your point and maybe 2 would be good. I think there is only space for 1 more CM with Ginkel as we will have 4 players trying for essentially 2 spots and the odd game where we employ a trivote and 3 are needed. Only under circumstances will we need a 5th or even 6th and I don't think that should be enough to lure us into spending. The thing is if we buy a young 4th CM those 'circumstances' that would require us to call up a 5th place CM might actually happen, young players seem to come with unexpected injuries and such We have some CM's in the academy that aren't really wonderkids like Kovacic but they could work to give us a CM in cases of emergency and even provide and English player. We want a youthful team that could stick together for a while and for us to win now doing that we have to snatch up the best possible young players. It the current market you have to buy young players with potential quickly because their price becomes absurd once they begin to show real promise like Pogba. Which ever CM we buy I think it would be a waste to accompany them with 2 other players looking for more or less the same openings in playing spots, 1 academy player should be enough. HOWEVER, as we have seen recently Luiz can play well with Matic and if the club and David agree that he should not be sold than we don't need a 5th signing for CM as David Luiz has the qualities Mourinho likes to play in the pivot.

If Derby can keep winning and manage themselves through the promotion playoffs, a season at Derby in the BPL would be great. We could also encourage Derby to take on other young Chelsea players on loan if they feel they need reinforcements.

I've been touting Kovacic as a must grab this summer for that (in the likely summer transfers topic), he's going to be a beast. I've also just recently doubted my thinking that it will be impossible to sign him. With no European football Inter are in so much financial trouble they have to accept any money and cheap players clubs send their way. So I'm guessing a cheap Mikel and a lot of money for this little guy and we are in buisness. Every club deals with debt but apparently Inter are have big problem int he money department and Chelsea pockets know how to talk. So much brawn shown by Costa today.

The Portuguese league is no stranger to massive summer talent sell offs and this year looks to be one of those. Rodrigo and Markovic might not be sold this summer window like the rumor mills suggest, they still have a lot of time on their contracts and their value can rise a lot. I think Benfica will sell Garay and Gaitan I'm not sure about other players this year. Markovic is going to have a lot of suitors, I don't really care for him coming here because he have some good young players to fill in that role, I just really don't want him going to another English club.

This really give us a lift in taking the title through goal difference.

Ibrahimovic reunion for Mourinho as Blues draw PSG
BloodIsBlue replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Chelsea Articles
Either way our club was having some kind of story line with Mourinho. Ex players, ex clubs and bad blood the quarter finals was going to have one of these stories. Even if we got BVB they would be talking about how they snubbed out Lewandowski approach. -
I was 10 years old then so it doesn't count, wasn't really following professional football at the time as I was most likely trying to collect all the Pokemon on my gameboy.

He deserves his wages he plays every game! Same can't be said for Cole. I couldn't bare to see him another shirt and much less playing against us.
