I have to disagree with both players but more so with Willian. Both are rare types of players that you won't find very easily or available in every transfer window. You can find other players in that position that are amazing but they are very well rounded in the footballing skills set and very athletic. They can perform as top footballers in many different situation and could probably run a marathon everyday. They do commit a lot of passing errors but tonight those were highlighted by an entire team that had bad passing, their mishaps are usually not enough yo through off the whole team. They aren't Welbeck style errors where they psyche themselves out, the errors are brought on by great defending. I think those are the kinds of Brazilians we have on our team and we are lucky. Sometimes they don't get the personal results we want to see but I'm satisfied with their game and mostly feel things could have been worse without them. Team performances have looked rough lately despite some alright final results, which are the symptoms of a great team carrying too much fatigue (lingering effects from lack of rotation that may not fully go away this season).

Yeah but Ivanovic isn't a rightback. The sooner we get Azpi to right the sooner we'll see the team gain some much needed offensive balance. To me Azpilicueta is superman right now my confidence in him is at max. It's superb to have a guy like him who can play on both sides so well.

Willian has some position issues but aside from that he's been great fit. I still have high hopes for the Hazard-Oscar-Willian connection but its clear Hazard (and even Willian) might need a relief from mach responsibilities this weekend. And obviously it will take more time for the trio, the team and especially William. He's hesitant on the right and sometimes that wasted second means he loses out on the better pass or run. He will interchange with people but he just needs to increase the quickness of his decisions on the right. He does well to cripple the opponents left side however.

Only 11 Chelsea players can play at the same time. We need a ST, CM (who can show up as a CDM) and a LB. We need 3 players of those positions who can be trusted to perform when they play. The more things get mixed up the longer it will take for everything to settle.

I'm sure we'll be in the next phase, so much working against us tonight. To be fair to the Galatasary trolls the atmosphere was very unlike the one our players are used to and the ref was afraid to get stabbed after the game.

Aperently they boast that because of registered 'socios' or members that they have, paying memberships as well. Bayern will usurp Benfica shortly in having the biggest members club. He would be good if the club had a different plan. I think the defense can suffice without the addition of a 26-28 year old defender. If we weren't so hell bent on making a team that will last for '10 years' he could work but for his cost he's just not worth it in the progression of this team. A leftback would be far more important and that would leave Ivanovic more chances to appear in the middle for days where Zouma isn't ready. If we are going to sign a new CB Id rather us not deal with a rival as we will always get a bad deal. It would be far more valuable to go in for Varane. With all the youth we have sitting around it would be wasteful to go for Varane but still a winning strategy.
