  1. Having TOO many squad players is a big reason why we're in this mess. Parting ways with the expendable is what is required. Probably Firmino or Joselu. They aren't going to buy anyone of note that will potentially block Endrick down the line.
  2. That's been the issue for far too long. We buy players that aren't that much better than what we already have instead of undisputed starters.
  3. Mourinho is working his magic again. Sevilla's defence looked suspect on paper, and it's showing.
  4. We did that last summer, and look how that turned out. If the information below is correct, I'd say going to £100k would be fair, or walk away from the deal. Earning 5x your current wage should be enough considering his desire to join an EPL side instead of PSG. If this was someone like Leao or Osimhen, I'd be more incline to agree with your thinking. Edit: I'm going off the information here - Manuel Ugarte latest: Chelsea & PSG’s transfer offers, wage proposals, decision date - Absolute Chelsea He's currently earning £25kpw, and we're offering him £143kpw~ (there's probably bonuses on top of that). Comparing us with the stupidity that happens in Paris is a non-starter (they are supposedly offering £358kpw).
  5. There's offering a bit more, and then there's overcompensating. I have no idea what Ugarte is currently earning at SCP, but we shouldn't be offering stupid amounts to compete with the likes of City, PSG, or United in that regard.
  6. I think he's more suited to United. A number of players that disappear when the going gets tough.
  7. The system doesn't prevent you from scoring or helping your teammates around you. Hitting the posts three times (I'm sure it was more) has more to do with poor finishing than with luck. Mudryk came from a vastly inferior league and wasn't given a run of games, so allowing him a full season under Poch is the least people can do before writing him off. Instead of spending a decent sum of money on Felix, I'd rather extend Mount's contract to see if he can finally find some consistency in his game. Havertz, on the other hand, is a lost cause; I hope Bayern come for him ASAP.
  8. What are you angry about? He showed potential but, like our other attackers, lacked end product, which is precisely why Atletico were happy to loan out their club record signing. We need players who can perform consistently once again.
  9. It's hard to believe that; just look at European competitions this season. The game is more tactical, so those who lack the pace that is required in the EPL flourish in Italy.
  10. I think a big part of that comes down to having no CF. I'm sure Osimhen (holding onto hope) will help our wingers flourish.
  11. It will be a shock for some fans.
  12. It's finally been confirmed by the club. He wasn't among the managers I was hoping would take over. I'm hoping his tenure will last longer than the previous few and that we can finally have some stability we've been sorely missing.
  13. Milinkovic-Savic is supposedly available at a reasonable price, but he isn't at the level he once was.
  14. It's been painful to watch Havertz stuck in midfield for the last season and a half. I hope that's the last time field a team without a CF. He's a constant liability. His versatility is the only thing he has going for him.
  15. What on earth was Chalobah doing? He went from relegation threaten side to our first team. Need to get shot of.
  16. Nice to see Lamps "doing his job". Holding Carney back to only start him in one game. Only 90 mins left of this dire season.
  17. Regarding the latter, I'd say it's about time, but I'm sure that both of them will be replaced by individuals who also have no idea what they are doing.
  18. That's what I was referring to. A dire PK that had no conviction despite its importance. Dortmund will always falter when the pressure is on them.
  19. Haller..... It should have been the perfect end to a rough year for him.
  20. He's held in high regard due to his application and desire to "give his all". That might work at Palace, but he's out of his depth here.
  21. It was inevitable. Koln have dominated the second half and Tuchel was just trying to hold on. However, it looks like Tuchel has been bailed out.
  22. I have this feeling Bayern will concede, which will gift Dortmund the title.
  23. Lampard brought on the only CF in our squad after 82 minutes. It's hard to imagine that there are many level-headed Chelsea fans who hold him in high regard anymore. To think he had the nerve to turn down Norwich's advances after his last spell here, thinking he was above them. With regards to our squad, we honestly have 12 months to fix the mess that surrounds the club, or we better get used to such standards in the long term. I'm hoping reports that Mr VIP is going to have a less hands-on approach is a massive step in the right direction.
